With the passage of time, it seems that the UK
universities are focusing more upon their efforts
on initiating international recruitment. It was theyear 2012 when the percentage of students
pursuing higher studies for UK degrees in
overseas rose by 13%. Year after year, the
percentage has been predicted to rise, as per
experts. With the establishment of international branches run by
UK universities, collaboration with foreign institutions and
encouragement of online education, more and more students are
enrolling online under UK universities. No compulsion of paying lump sums
The academic session 2011-12 enrolled around 571,000 students
abroad and now students coming from Singapore, Pakistan and
Malaysia have shown keen interest towards studying under UK
universities. Now, the best thing that has benefited students from
UK university courses being run overseas is that they would no
more be compelled to pay lump sums and make way to the United
Kingdom. Instead, they can now complete higher studies from any
corner they wish.
The Director of the UK Higher Education International Unit,
Joanna Newmansaid, There will continue to be
demand from students who want to study in the
UK. Despite this year's fall in applications from
some countries, overall numbers are holding up.
Most of their students need to be catered for intheir own country UK universities can do this by
offering joint degrees and co-regulating.

University can boost their brands overseasWith the help of those arrangements, universities will be
therefore able to boost their brands abroad, which would be a
pretty great thing for the international students. According toAlex Bols, executive director of the 1994 Group, Opening an
international campus is a way of developing a strong physical
presence in other countries and attracting students to the UK.
He has however warned that there might be big reputational
risks for the institution also.
Where universities are setting up new branches at various corners
of the globe, the demand of distance learning is gradually rising.
The one-way universities have been found using a validation model,
whereas the UK online universities authenticate the credentials and
jointly analyse the course curriculum.
Judging global partnerships has undergone changes says QAAAccording to theQuality Assurance Agency, the procedure has
undergone changes in the manner it supervises the globalpartnerships of universities. In this respect, the Carolyn
Campbell, the spokesperson for its international team, When
we began reviewing overseas provision, we were looking only at
very small samples abroad. Now we talk directly to students
and publish review reports and case studies highlighting what
works and what could work better.
Now, the UK universities are taking big initiatives
towards making students complete higher studies
even from remote corners. Where a lot of students
have expressed fears in bearing full-time
university costs, online courses from universities
in the United Kingdom have come up as saviours
in making them fulfil their career goals withinSource: bit. ly/1rWLCqc
