Digital cameras

Advantages

There are many of advantages to a digital camera it is small and easy to put in any pocket, which means you can take it anywhere, which can make a photographers life a thousand times easier. Depending on the camera it can have quite a few useful features though not as many as a bridge or SLR camera it still has white balance, zoom and focus.  The camera it self has face recognition and a LCD screen so you can see what you are doing. The camera has a record feature although do not expect anything great, as it is still a photography camera not a film camera.

 Disadvantages

Though there is much good to the digital camera there are some drawbacks as there is with any camera. The camera though good quality does not take as many good quality images when compared to a bridge and an SLR. The camera is constantly running out of batteries, as they are smaller than an SLR and bridge camera.  There are less buttons and options on this camera so you could never achieve the quality you could with bridge and SLR cameras. Unlike certain cameras the cameras lens can never be changed and must permanently stay the same lens as it was built with.

Mobile Phone

Advantages

There are a quite a few advantages of mobile camera in this day and age just a few years ago they had terrible quality and were always pixelated now they can give a digital camera a run for its money. As a phone almost everyone has one, which makes it more efficient than a digital camera because its lighter and will be used everyday (assuming that this is the iPhone or something similar) and they are even making phones especially for the camera it wont be long until digital cameras will slowly become

obsolete and will no longer be needed. The phone like the camera has many features and can be used to change white balance.

Disadvantages

The disadvantages are like a digital camera it does not have as much quality of its images like a bridge camera and an SLR camera which has better quality, better focus and better zoom. The lens like a digital camera will stay the same meaning if you don’t like the focus or the lens its tough luck as you’re stuck with it forever.  The cameras images is saved to the phones memory so unlike a camera with an SD depending on how much memory you’ve used on your phone you wont be able to have as much pictures on there which for a photographer is a big problem.

Bridge camera

Advantages

Page 4: Digital cameras

The bridge camera is quite a powerful camera it has many functions the zoom on it is incredible and the focus is easy to use as long as you have something to focus on to see the right setting you need. It comes with a flash more powerful than digital cameras making it easier to see images and figures in the dark. It has a dial for focus and recording through the camera (Though again it is not a good idea to rely on a picture camera for a film camera) the focus varies from manual focus to auto focus to those to new cameras. The camera can switch from the Viewfinder to the LCD screen underneath for a better view of what you are looking at if that is your preference. It has higher mega pixels than most digital cameras and phones and has more range when taking pictures and recording and is more responsive than a phone and digital camera the cameras shutter speed is better than the phone and digital camera so instead of holding the camera still the shutter speed will just take the picture instantly making it easier to take pictures without blur.

Disadvantages

Page 5: Digital cameras

Like the other cameras mentioned this also cannot have the lens removed making it hard to use if you do not like the focus or the zoom on this camera.  Though a powerful camera it is more awkward to take with you place than a digital camera or a phone.

SLR

Advantages

The camera has many advantages compared to other cameras on this list it has a record button which it can instantly record to it has a display so in the LCD screen it can tell you all the important data from space left to the date it has programed inside. It can change the white balance and shutter speed and aperture and it can all be changed with simple button commands. The cameras lens can be removed and a new one can be added making it easier for the photographer to use the camera and use any zoom and focus and finally get the image quality they have always wanted.

Disadvantages

This camera is not easy to go out and about with like a mobile phone or a digital camera. The camera has many needs like different settings for most pictures and the lens must be changed if you want to take certain pictures.
