CD – Front Cover

From looking at the CD front covers of other contemporary pop artists I can see that their covers tend to feature a close up shot of their face. The images are usually quite provocative e.g. the

poses, use of costume, make up. The colours of the background aren't necessarily bright however the text and costume is bright contrasting to the simple background. The use of the close up shot draws an audience to the CD and the covers can be associated with the genre pop. Katy Perry fits into the pop genre as her use of bright colours and provocative images can be linked to the above

covers and her music

From looking at the CD back covers of other contemporary pop artists I can see that there is synergy with the use of colours and fonts. These colours and fonts are bright and again contrast against the simple background. The use of provocative images is continued e.g. photo of kylie and Britney barely clothed, Madonna's red lips. For our CD, we could use the idea of a simple

background with bright text on top of it to contrast.
