Maroon 5 – Songs about Jane (2002)This was Maroon 5’s first album featuring fourteen songs each describing a girl named Jane with whom Adam Levine once had a relationship with.

‘About’ is in bold emphasizing who Adam Levine’s lyrics are about.

Interesting font, skinny lettering and overlapping to create effect.

Very vibrant , eye catching through choice of colours and the girl is featured on the front cover which is something we could potentially do.

Audience’s are familiar with Maroon 5’s font making their albums easily distinguishable.

Maroon 5 – It won’t be soon before long (2007)

Maroon 5 – Hands all over (2010)

Just like their first album, a female dominates the front cover of their album.

Voyeuristic treatment of the female body.

The female has four arms reiterating the message of the album title ‘Hands all over’

Both ‘o’ letters are overlapping in the title, this is the style of their font familiarizing themselves with audiences

The front cover is dominated with vibrant colours and animated characters.

‘O’s’ are joint (consistency in albums)

Similar to Maroon 5?

• The Black Eyed Peas are an American hip hop/pop group formed in Los Angeles in 1995.

• The Script are a pop rock band which formed in 2001 in Dublin, Ireland.

We can also get inspiration for our advertisement cover from other bands as they play the same type of music as Maroon 5.

‘The Black Eyed Peas’ – The End

Figure staring straight at the viewer shows the seriousness of the album.

Only three colours used for the front cover (green, black and white)

Disco ball effect instead of normal human skin.
