The single for our music video is “never get lost”, is important as we chose to add the title beside or below the “4kicks” title which follows the attraction of the audience on to the title of the album. The title of the album will also be presented in the same font used for the name of the band.

On the cover of our album for 4kicks, the most important feature was the name of the band. For the digipack, we chose to feature the name of the band at the head of the digipackcover in a bold text which enables the band name to stand out. We will also coordinate the colourof the text to stand out for example in a red font or in a white font over a black background.

The central and most important image is set on mid shot of our artist. The artist is featured to be looking at a map which is effective as it plays on the quirkiness of the indie genre as it ties in to the title never get lost although he is in the middle of nowhere holding a map upside down, which represents that he is actually lost.

The background for our album cover is based on a woodlands/forest. This also ties into the title of the album as the artist seems to be represented in an unknown background which plays on the title of not being lost although we feel that the artist is.

The inside left to our album cover we have chose to feature a close up shot of each member of the band. As our band is unsigned and generally unknown to a wide audience, we felt it important to feature all four members of the band which allows the audience to create a relevance to all four members of the bands and represents their indie image to their audience and genre of music. For each of the images, we wanted to get across a fun and quirky side of the band members to leave the audience with a good image of the band. We also may have images of the band members looking towards each other as if they are talking together whereas they are in 4 different squares.

For the CD compartment of the digipack, I had chose to again represent the band although on the occasion the idea was to represent a unity within the band and a togetherness between the 4 band members. I found that there would generally be either a central image of an artist of a shot of the band.

For the CD compartment, we chose for the image to be represented in a black and white theme although the rest of the image of the band to be in the original colours to distinguish the CD compartment from the rest of the image. The CDs of many albums are also in a black and white theme which would allow us to correspond the black and white theme in the background of the CD compartment, to the actual cover of the CD.

The background to our image of the band is going to be in a plain white colour to take the focus off the general image and solely onto the members of the band pictured centrally. The idea of a white background also represents a more professional image.

The Band name will also feature on the CD although in a less noticeable font and colour as there is a less importance to the text and so the attention is not taken from the central image.

Following our research we found that the back to an album cover relates to the album cover or is the reverse shot to the ones used as the digipack cover.

The central and most important image on the back of our album is the reverse shot to our album cover image. The shot represents to the audience, the actual environment the artist is in and relates more to the theme of being lost.

The tracks to our album on the reverse to our album must be in the same font used on the cover of the album and we also chose to use a red/white font colour which again makes the text stand out easily read.

A barcode is also important for the reverse to our album cover to represent that our product is official and more realistically purchasable.

The background image to our digipack reverse is again a reverse shot from the image used on the cover of our digipack which again represents the surroundings of the central character and ties back to the idea of the artist being lost physically.

We will also include a website where the audience would be able to research and follow the artist. We had found this common throughout our research.
