I'm starting this not knowing how far I'm going to get, but hopefully I'll be able to write out the whole game for those having trouble. Also, s ince the boy has no name at the start of the game, I'm going to name him Trainer just for the walkthr ough. It's better than calling him boy. Well, here goes! II. MENU ITEMS Clock In the top right corner of the game screen, you will see an alarm clock. This clock will chart your time through Digimon World. The clock runs on a 24-hour s ystem, and you will find that certain events occur during the day while o thers happen at night. The clock' s hand moves ar ound once every hour. The white dot that circulates the outside of the clock wil l tell y ou what time it is. When the dot is at the top of the circle, it is night. When it is at the bottom, it is daytime. You can tell what time of day it is by the pictures on the clock. Red denotes sunset and purple denotes sunrise. Happiness Gauge In the bot tom right corner of the game s creen, you will find a happines s gauge. It is the upper gauge with the happy face on it. When this meter is high, your Digimon will be happy and live longer, but there is also a chance that i t will be s poiled. If happiness is high and discipline is low, your Digimon may not accept items that you give it, such as stat chips or auto pilots. Discipline Gauge In the bottom right corner of the game screen, below the happine ss gauge, you wil l find the dis cipline gauge. When this meter is high, your Digimon will be more obedient and take almost any item that you give him, but your Digimon may get tired easily and his lifespan will be shortened. Item Command You will find the item command in the menu screen. When selected, you will be able to see a list of all the items that you currently have, and be able to use some of these items. When you begin the game, you have a capacity for 10 different kinds of items. If you can find Nanimon and get his keychain, your item capacity w ill increase to 20 different items. Digimon Command You will find the Digimon command in the menu screen. When selected, you will be able to see your Digimon's statistics, his age, his weight, his Digimon type, his active hours, and his current condition. You wi ll also be able to set his technique s for battle on this screen. Watch this screen carefully throughout the game; you will want to monitor your Digimon's weight often. Your Digimon will be one of three types: virus, data or v accine. Types in D igimon World are not like Pokémon: one type doesn't dominate another. What they will do, though, is prevent some battle s. Sometimes, a Digimon of the same type will not want to battle with you, and leaves the scene without a fight. As for techniques, always make sure that your Digimon has three techniques to choose from, for an easier time in battles. Player Command You will find the player command in the menu screen. The player menu gives you your current Tamer rank, the number of Digimon you have trained, how much money you have, the current amount of time you have played, and any special items or medals you have collected. To raise your rank, train many high level Digimon, and your rank will go u p from time to time. You can also find a list of Digimon cards that you have in the player menu, and can view your cards. Pet and Scold Commands You will find the pet and scold commands in the menu screen. Petting increas es happ iness but decreases discipline. Scolding increases discipline but decreases happiness. Personally, I think both of these functions are useless , because f eeding your Digimon, taking it to the bathroom on time, and letting it sleep when it's sleepy keeps the happiness gaug e a t full. Fighting in many battles will keep your discipline gaug e at full, so you don't need to scold. And besides, why scold your Digimon for going to the bathroom on accident, when you're the one w ho is supposed to make sure he gets to a toilet? He's n ot a real pet. He's not going to learn from his mistake. So just don't scold him, ok? :) Sleep Command When your Digimon's sleepy, let him rest!!! Besides, it fills up both his HP and MP, which can be very helpful if you're in a tight

spot. Your Digimon has its own active hours, and will sleep when that time period is over. For example, my Tyrannomon sleeps from 2:00 to 11:00 every day. That's his sleepingpattern. Usually, your Digimon will have a certain sleeping pattern that it follows. Plan your training and adventures around this fact! III. DIGIMON STATUS Your Digimon will letyou know its status through thought bubbles that will appear from time to time. Here are theexplanations of thought bubbles. Meat Your Digimon is hungry! Feed him by going intothe item menu and giving him meat, fish, or digital mushrooms. Digimon like sirloin best, and

it decreases tiredness in your Digimon. One sirloin or meat may not satisfy your Digimon'shunger right away. Your Digimon will tell you if he is full after he eats. If he shows a sign of happiness, such as roaring or making other noise, that means he is full. If not, then wait a

little while, and his hunger bubble should come up again. Feed your Digimon until he is full!Poop Yes, I'm sorry to say that's what it is! Hurry and take your Digimon to the closesttoilet, before he has an accident! If you are unable to get your Digimon to a toilet, then he willgo where ever you are, and your virus gauge will increase by one. If the virus gauge gets toohigh, your Digimon may become the smelliest of the Digimon: Sukamon! If you have gottento the point where you can buy a portable potty, then carrying a few of those around with youisn't too bad of an idea! Sleep When the Z's appear, your Digimon is ready to be tuckedin for the night. Your Digimon can sleep anywhere, and his HP and MP will be totally refilled.Sleeping is also the only opportunity that you have to save your game progress. SweatWhen a tear drop shaped sweat bead appears in the thought balloon, you've overworked your Digimon! This is a bad status for a Digimon to have, as it decreases happiness and shortens

lifespan. To prevent this status from happening, feed your Digimon sirloin which decreasestiredness, and to visit either Punimon or Centarumon from time to time. Both Digimon canrelieve your Digimon of tiredness. Band-aid If your Digimon finishes a battle with a lowHP, he may get injured. If this occurs, you can use either medicine or a bandage to heal your Digimon. This shouldn't happen often if you pay close attention to the battles you're in and

keep plenty of recovery items handy. Hypodermic Needle Oh no! Your Digimon is sick! This can occur if you neglect your Digimon, such as not feeding it or not letting it sleep. Badpeople! Don't neglect your Digimon! Heal him by giving him medicine, or by visitingCentarumon's clinic. IV. BATTLE TECHNIQUES Your Digimon can learn manytechniques during its lifetime, and if you care for your Digimon correctly, its techniques maybe passed on to your new Digimon. Battle techniques are important because the more youhave, the easier it will be to digivolve to higher levels. Many times, if your Digimon knows alot of techniques, it may still digivolve to a higher level, even if it doesn't have high stats. It isgood to get as many techniques as you can early on, so your Digimon raising can be moreflexible. Digimon can learn techniques two ways. One way is to teach your Digimon at thechalkboard and increase its brain. While very rare, your Digimon may randomly learn a newattack that way. The more common way is by battling other creatures. When your Digimon isattacked in battle, he may learn the attacks that the other Digimon used on him. The bestway to determine if an enemy Digimon can teach your partner Digimon a technique is to lookat what Digimon its base Digimon is. For example, I had a Patomon once. I trained it byfighting Tsukaimon, which are the dark blue Patamon-like Digimon that hang out by theDigital Bridge. Tsukaimon are Patamon based, which means they look like Patamon. Theycarry most of the same attacks that Patamon has, so the potential for learning is at itsmaximum. You may not always find an enemy Digimon that has the same base as your Digimon, such as Elecmon, but that's okay. If you cannot find a look alike, then look for elemental matches. Elecmon has no matching enemy, yet by fighting Modoki Betamon,Dokunemon, and Shima Unimon, you see that they all have some electric based attacks, which most likely your Elecmon can learn. Good luck learning all of the techniques! V.FINISHING MOVES Finishing moves are semi -important in each battle. You can tell

when your Digimon is ready for his finishing move when the word FINISH is complete in thetop right hand corner of your screen. In most cases, you won't get to use your finishing move, because your Digimon will have defeated any enemy before the word finish is, well, finished.:) You will, however, be able to use it in most boss battles or in tough battles with more thanone enemy. Be careful though! If your Digimon is hit while he's powering up for his finishingmove, it's all over and the word finish has to be spelled out all over again. He won't even getto use it. For the best results, wait until you have been hit by your enemy, and press thesquare button to trigger the finishing move right when you get hit. Your enemy will not haveenough time to attack again while you power up, so you should be fine. In a multi-enemybattle, DO NOT use your finishing move until there is only one enemy left. 90% of the time,

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/digimon-world-walk-through-i 3/30

when a finishing move is executed when there are more than one enemy, you will lose your finishing move to an enemy attack. Don't waste a finishing move!!! Since they don't use MP,they are very useful during any battle, especially an MP draining boss battle. Use the L1 andR1 buttons to charge up your Digimon's finishing attack. The more the meter is filled, theharder he'll hit! VI. BATTLE COMMANDS When you first start out with a new Digimon, you will have relatively few battle commands. Most likely you will have "Your call" and "Run"as your only options. "Your call" tells the Digimon to choose his own attacks from the ones

that are set, and to judge when to attack and when to defend. You don't have too much of asay in a "Your Call" battle. As your Digimon's brains stat increases, you will be given moreoptions with which to battle your Digimon. At 100, your Digimon will learn the "Attack"

command. With this command, your Digimon will attack the enemy constantly, and neglect tokeep a safe distance or defend. This is best used against a slower or weaker enemy. At 200,your Digimon will learn "Moderate" and "Distance." Use these to keep your Digimon moving,so that they won't be hit by close up attacks. At 300, your Digimon will learn "Defend." Thistells your Digimon to stop attacking and focus on defending itself. This is useful if you aretrying to learn a new technique, because you want the enemy to use his attack on you. At400, your Digimon should learn "Change." This tells your Digimon to attack a different enemyin a multi-enemy fight. Lastly, at 500 you gain control of your Digimon's attacks. The regular attack button disappears and you are given three new ones in its place. Each one may havea different symbol on it, but they are the attacks that you have set. You may choose to tellyour Digimon to only attack with that one attack by selecting it. If you are not happy with this,

then return to "Your Call," and your Digimon will alternate attacks. VII. DIGIMON WORLDTIPS * Train often at training sites, but do not forget the importance of battles for your Digimon. Battles win you bits, items, and sometimes new techniques for your Digimon. *Watch your Digimon's weight carefully. It can be something that is easily forgotten. I shouldknow...my Kokatorimon never asked me for food, and then when I checked his weight, he

weighed only one pound! Keep your Digimon at a healthy weight: 30 for rookies, and 60 for champions, although some ultimate Digimon like Giromon and Metal Mamemon may requirelighter weights. * Try to expand your technique list as fast as you can. More techniquesmeans that it will be easier for you to digivolve later in the game. It also means that you willhave more of a choice in what kind of attacks your Digimon can perform. * When raising aDigimon rookie, try to train it in only a few stats to see what you get. Always raise your Digimon in HP and MP, but then choose a stat to work in. If you train an Agumon in defense, you will get a totally different Digimon than if you had trained in brains or speed. This is thebest way to expand your knowledge of the game and raise your tamer rank. * Make few caremistakes! Always know where the closest toilet is, and always have some food and recoveryitems handy just in case. You never know when you'll be lost and hungry, or stuck without abathroom nearby! If it's a problem, try carrying portable potties with you on adventures. *Talk to Yuramon, Tsunomon, Angemon, and read Shellmon's bulletin board often. TheseDigimon are here to help you if you are stuck in the game and don't know where to go next. *Be patient when trying to make ultimate Digimon. Most times, you have to have insane statsfor your Digimon to digivolve to ultimate. Take your time, learn techniques, and save any statchips you might win. You'll definitely want them for your ultimate Digimon that battles in MountInfinity. My first Metal Mamemon had stats of around 4000 HP and MP and 600 in all other stats when we tackled Mount Infinity, with some help from stat chips. Using stat chips can behelpful, because it can help your Digimon digivolve to ultimate when it is still 11 or 12 daysold, which will allow you to fight tougher opponents longer. My Metal Mamemon made itthrough Mount Infinity both times with no problem, because he had digivolved early and wasstill young. * Keep a steady amount of money coming in. You will always need a goodamount of money to properly care for your Digimon. This also means buying recovery items,

extra food, portable potties, and auto pilots just to be safe. If you are having trouble keepingenough money, here is a method to make tons of money fast. (Thanks to psychic_strata, whogave me the easy way to make money, instead of the crazy way I was doing it! ^_^ ) First, for this method you must either have a couple thousand dollars, or you must be very bored. Youcan get money one of two ways. First, go to the item shop and buy as many meats as youlike. Meat is only 50 bits each, so it won't cost you much. Next, go to Dragon Eye Lake andcatch DigiAnchovies with your meat. Digianchovies are the smallest fish that are the closestto shore. Catch as many as you can, then go back to Birdramon's transport shop and havehim take you to Freezeland. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN AUTOPILOT BEFORE YOU GO.IF NOT, YOU'LL BE SORRY! In Freezeland, go visit the southwestern Mojyamon on the ice

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

flows. He will trade you a Super Speed Disk for every Digianchovy you have. Be careful! This Mojyamon can get you caught in a glitch in the game. By trading with him, you will getstuck there and won't be able to move. Don't worry about that. Keep trading with him until allyour fish are gone. When that's done, you don't have to worry about being stuck, becauseyou can use the autopilot to take you back to the city. If you don't have an auto pilot, I'mpredicting a reset happening pretty soon. _̂^ The second money making method is based onthe same idea, but uses DigiMushrooms instead. Collect DigiMushrooms, and then take

them to the southeastern Mojyamon instead. He will trade you a Medium Recovery for eachmushroom you bring to him. Now, take the medium recoveries and visit the southwesternMojyamon. Trade him the medium recoveries for Super Defense Disks. Now, with your

Super Defense or Speed Disks, return to File City and sell them at the Item Shop. Each diskcan be sold for 2,000 bits! This is a great way to make money, and inexpensive as well. For example, if you buy 50 meats at 50 bits each, you pay 2500 bits. If you then catch 50 Anchovies with your 50 meats, provided you are a good fisher, you can trade them for disksand sell them for 2000 bits each. From your 50 disks, you will earn 100,000 bits. Subtractthe 2500 you paid for meat, and your total net profit is 97,500 bits. Not bad, huh? _̂^ VIII.ITEMS IN DIGIMON WORLD As quoted from Ninjamon, who hangs out in the secret itemshop. ^_^ "There are 128 kinds of items in all. 32 are food. Rare items grow naturally insome areas and can't be found in others. For example, you can find a blue apple in NativeForest. These foods have special effects, so be careful on the timing of eating them. Now,digivolution items. Digivolution items make Digimon digivolve, as the name suggests. There

are many different kinds of digivolution items. Each kind causes Digimon to digivolve intodifferent types of Digimon. For example, if you use Grey Claws, the Digimon will turn intoGreymon. Digivolution items are items of legend and some are one of a kind. But sometimesyou don't get any bonus ability like during normal digivolution. Also, your happiness levelgoes down, so they're not perfect. At the same time, it's nice to digivolve into the kind of

Digimon you want to be. You can only digivolve from one generation before the Digimon youwant to become, so be careful." Here are some of items that can be found in DigimonWorld. I won't put up any of the digivolution items, because there are too many to list. FOODITEMS ------------------------------------- Item: Regular Meat What it does: Makes Digimon a bitfull. RECRUITABLE DIGIMON INDEX I have been getting a lot of e-mails lately about how torecruit certain Digimon. The walkthrough on this FAQ can tell you how to recruit anyDigimon, it's just a matter of finding the specific Digimon you need. RECRUITABLE DIGIMON WALKTHROUGH Here it is. What you've allbeen waiting for! The walkthrough! Just as a note to beginners, this walkthrough goesthrough File Island's EASTERN path first. If you are a beginner, you want to start goingthrough File Island's WESTERN path as soon as possible. I wrote this walkthrough goingthrough the east first, because in the beginning of the game, Mount Panorama and the Gear Savanna are blocked off. If you are a beginner, here is the order you should read thiswalkthrough in. File City, Native Forest, Tropical Jungle, Drill Tunnel, Mount Panorama, Gear Savanna, Trash Mountain, Geko Swamp, Ancient Dino Region, Overdell, Great Canyon,Misty Trees, Toy Town, Freezeland, Factorial Town, Mount Infinity, Beetle Land. SECTION1: FILE CITY You wake up in File City, surrounded by numerous in-training Digimon andJijimon. Jijimon will tell you your purpose in Digimon World: the Digimon of File Island haveall left the city because of some mysterious force, and their world is in danger! As a talentedDigimon trainer, you must go out and explore File Island and convince the once friendlyDigimon to return to the File City. This will not be an easy task, so you are given your ownrookie Digimon to assist you: either a Gabumon or an Agumon. When Jijimon is finishedtalking, you are then free to explore Digimon World to the best of your ability. * You willnot be able to survive without items. Talk to Tokomon in Jijimon's house, and he will give youenough items to get started on your journey. * Talk to Tanemon, who is located a little

north of Jijimon's house. Tanemon runs a meat farm, and will give you three pieces of regular meat per day for your hungry Digimon. * Training is essential to your new rookie Digimon.Without sufficient training, your Digimon will not meet the specifications for champion Digimonand may digivolve into the awful Numemon. You can train in Green Gym, which is locatedwest of File City. You can always train as long as you want and anytime for free, but makesure your Digimon doesn't exhaust himself! Once you're satisfied with the training of your new Digimon, you can then wander around Native Forest and the surrounding areas. NativeForest is located south of Green Gym, and west of File City's main square. SECTION 2:NATIVE FOREST Native Forest is the best place for beginners to explore. Most enemyDigimon have around 300 HP, and their attacks are not lethal, so it's a good training ground

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/digimon-world-walk-through-i 6/30

for young rookie Digimon. Be sure to fight Modoki Betamon as often as possible, becausethey often drop sm. recovery, which you'll need to stock up on if you want to be able to travelfarther in the game. Native Forest is home to six recruitable Digimon, but you'll only be ableto find four of them early in the game. Also, be sure to keep an eye out for Digimushroomsthat appear randomly on the forest floor; they make a good snack when your Digimon ishungry and you're short on food. Recruitment Digimon! Upon entering Native Forest, you willmeet up with an Agumon who will battle you. You cannot escape this battle, and you must

defeat Agumon before you can enter Native Forest any deeper. Defeat Agumon and he will join the city, opening up a convenient shop to hold any extra items that you may have. Agumon can hold up to 100 different kinds of items, which comes in very handy since you can

only carry 10 different items with you at a time. Recruitment Digimon! In Native Forest, youwill find an area called Kunemon's bed which is located east of the Native Forest toilet. There, you will see Kunemon sitting on a large bush. What's the problem? Kunemon's hungry!Feed him a food item from your inventory, and he will challenge you to a fight. Win, andKunemon will join the city. Kunemon has about 900 HP, so make sure that your Digimon hascomparable stats. When you win, Kunemon opens a new path in the city's main square. When you return to the city and talk to Kunemon, he will tell you about eating through thebushes to make the path. This path leads you to the Digital Bridge area, which is a lot easier than walking all the way around Native Forest and back up to get to the bridge! RecruitmentDigimon! Palmon is hiding in Native Forest. She says she's a flower. Find Palmon south of the Native Forest toilet. She will be facing away from you. Talk to her, and she will tell you

that she is a flower. Keep talking to her until she fights you. Defeat her, and Palmon will jointhe city and upgrade the meat farm for you, relieving a very happy Tanemon. Tanemon willnow be found lounging around in one of the planters, while Palmon runs the farm! Palmonwill give you three giant meats a day now, which should help feed those your Digimon.Recruitment Digimon! One of the most important Digimon you will encounter in the game's

early stages is Coelamon. Talk to Yuramon and Tsunomon, and they will tell you about amysterious shadow that appears at Coela Point each afternoon. Coela Point is the beach acouple screens south of Digimon Bridge. Head to Coela Point during the afternoon, and talkto the shadow that is swimming close to the shore. A Coelamon should emerge from thewater, allowing you to cross to the other shore. Cross to the other side, then go north, following the shore. By the time you get to the bridge, it should have been repaired, and youwill then be able to cross at any time. Go back to Coela Point and talk to Coelamon, and hewill join the city. Coelamon opens an item stand in the city square, where you can buy theitems small recovery, regular meat, and MP floppies. Recruitment Digimon! To the east of Palmon's spot, you will find a tree that has a door on it. The door tells you that no one's homeand to go away, but of course you're curious! Come to this door after the door Mount Infinityhas been opened, and you'll find a surprise waiting for you in the tree! It's Etemon! Etemondoes anywhere from 500-1000 points of damage to your Digimon before the battle evenstarts, so be prepared! As an ultimate Digimon, Etemon has about 6000 HP. After defeatinghim, Etemon will join the city, only to be kicked out by the other Digimon! You can find himsulking near the Digimon Bridge, but also willing to sell you a Golden Banana, the Etemondigivolution item, for 50,000 bits. Recruitment Digimon! The last Digimon of Native Forestisn't really in Native Forest, but rather is located near the Digimon Bridge. Ninjamon willappear randomly during the night if you walk south past the Bridge. He will challenge you to abattle, and if you can defeat him, he will join the city. Ninjamon hangs out in the secret itemshop, and is always willing to give you information about items. Well, now you'reprobably wondering, where do I go? And if you've seen Dragon Eye Lake, you're probablywondering how you catch the fish. Well, all in time. You've only started. ^_^ Next up is theDrill Tunnel and the Tropical Jungle! I'm going to put the Tropical Jungle first because going

through the Mangrove Region gets you the item shop upgrade right away, but you can do theDrill Tunnel first if you'd like. Actually, you might find that you have to alternate between theDrill Tunnel and the Tropical Jungle, if you'd like to save time. SECTION 3: TROPICALJUNGLE To the east of Digital Bridge, you will find enemies that are much tougher thanthose in Native Forest. Hopefully you have digivolved your rookie Digimon into a strongchampion Digimon so you can efficiently adventure through the jungle. Tropical Jungle'srecruitment Digimon are mostly Digimon that will upgrade currently running shops, but youcan also find a helpful new shop with Centarumon. Recruitment Digimon! Piximon can befound from time to time hovering around on the main screen of Tropical Jungle, south of theDigimon Bridge. You can tell if you're on the right screen if there are two Muchomon (during

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/digimon-world-walk-through-i 7/30

the daytime) or two J-Mojyamon (during the night), and if there are three directions to go fromthat screen. Spotting Piximon is very rare; I've been told that Piximon shows up at the sametime every day, but that it is different in every game. Make sure that you pay attention to whattime of day it is if you see him, so that if you can't defeat him then you know what time toreturn later. Thank you to everyone who e-mailed me and told me about Piximon's dailyroutine, your help is much appreciated! When you finally find him, Piximon is no easy battle! As an ultimate Digimon, he's tough to defeat; unless you've got a strong Digimon and

effective techniques. Watch out for Piximon's confusion storm! Once you defeat Piximon, heappears in the Item shop from time to time, selling his training manual for a mere 50,000 bits.Recruitment Digimon! Betamon can be found in the east section of the Tropical Jungle, near

the Mangrove Region. To find Betamon, head east in Piximon's screen to the small woodenbridge. Cross the bridge but don't go to the next screen to the east. Instead, head north (up,not north towards Digimon Bridge) and you will come to an area with a ModokiBetamon.Pass the ModokiBetamon up and head west, where you will find Betamon. Talk to him andhe will join the city. Betamon helps Coelamon at the item shop, adding a few special items of his own. Recruitment Digimon! Centarumon can be found in the Amida Forest, which can befound by heading east from the small wooden bridge and then north from the screen with thereadable sign. Centarumon isn't welcoming to strangers in his forest, and if he spots you inthe Amida Forest, he will shoot you. He halves your Digimon's HP with each shot, until your Digimon is left with only 1 HP. When your Digimon has only 1 HP, you will be kicked out of the Amida Forest and forced to start all again. Your job is to head to the back of the Amida

Forest, to find the door that is marked with an O instead of an X. So what's the trick togetting past Centarumon? Well, one thing is, don't let him see you! Centarumon can't seeyou if you hide behind the northern part of the small rows, and thus you won't get shot asoften. If you do get shot, feed your Digimon a recovery floppy, so that he doesn't get injuredand thrown out of the forest. Once you do make it to the row marked with an O, Centarumon

will greet you and join the city. Centarumon opens up a clinic in the city, selling medicine andhealing your monster's tiredness. He will also open the door to the Ancient Dino Region for you. Recruitment Digimon! Perhaps you've heard from Tanemon about a strange plant thatgrows somewhere in the Tropical Jungle. If you go to the plant, which is located north of Piximon's screen then east from the Tropical Jungle toilet, you will find that the plant is dyingof thirst! Don't you hope it rains soon? If you can't solve the problem of helping the plant out, check near Tanemon's planter box on the 15th of the month. There will be a rain plantgrowing there, and you can take it to use on the tiny plant. Once you use the rain plant, aVegiemon will grow from the tiny sprout! Vegiemon will join the city, and will take over Palmon's job at the meat farm. Vegiemon will now give you three sirloins a day and will allowyou to buy hawk radishes and super carrots: items used for training. Unlike Palmon,Vegiemon will not allow you to buy extra meat, so don't waste any sirloin! Beyond theTropical Jungle lies Overdell, Ancient Dino Region, and Great Canyon. You can explorethese areas now if you'd like, or head back and work with the Drimogemon in the Drill Tunnel.Great Canyon is a good place to explore, and a good way to work for some extra money if you need it. Overdell might not be accessible to you yet, but it's always worth a visit. AncientDino Region is a good place to learn new fire and wind techniques, while also recruiting onenew Digimon. SECTION 4: DRILL TUNNEL To the west of Native Forest you will findthe Drill Tunnel. Drimogemon live in the drill tunnel; you'll find three Drimogemon workinghard to dig a path to Mount Panorama. Today they're digging. Tomorrow they're digging. It'sso fun. ^_^ Actually, for you it's not so fun. The Drimogemon are a bit slow, so you'll have towait while they open up the tunnel to Mount Panorama. The good thing about the Drill Tunnelis that there are enemies, but that the enemies won't chase you and they will only battle you if you bump into them. They're stationary Goburimon, so it shouldn't be a problem. On the

Drill Tunnel's second floor, cross the bridge to the west and talk to the Drimogemon there. Hewill battle you, so be prepared! This Drimogemon has about 1200 HP, which is still areasonably easy battle for your Digimon. If you defeat him he will promise to work hard tofinish the drill tunnel. Only, he's the cook and doesn't drill at all. ̂ _^ After defeating him, head out and go back over the bridge. To the south, you will find the third floor of the DrillTunnel, where a Drimogemon is happily digging. He tells you that it will take a long time, socome back later. Wonder what he means? You can't do anything more with thatDrimogemon, so head back to the screen with the three Goburimon, then head east. You willfind a Drimogemon digging, with a large pile of dirt behind him. If you talk to him, he'll employyou to carry dirt out of the tunnel, so that the digging can go faster. He'll pay you 500 bits for

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/digimon-world-walk-through-i 8/30

each trip you make, but be careful! You cannot leave the drill tunnel until you've dumped thedirt outside and returned the dirt tray, so make sure your Digimon has everything that heneeds! Oh, by the way, there's no toilet in the Drill Tunnel, so make sure your Digimon hasalready gone before. You don't want to add to all the dirty stuff in the tunnel, do you? ^_^ After you're done hauling however much dirt you want to (you can haul one load or ten loads,it doesn't matter), you must leave the dirt tunnel and wait a few days for them to finish. A fewdays later, you'll find that the Drimogemon that you helped has opened the tunnel, but has

found a big rock blocking the entrance. Your Digimon can handle the rock, easily pushing itout of the way. Recruitment Digimon! Behind the massive rock you will find the Lava Cave. The Lava Cave is home to Meramon, the fiery Digimon. Meramon is angry about what is

happening to Digimon World, and wants to stop it by destroying all he can. When youinterrupt him, he challenges you and your Digimon to a battle. Meramon is an easy battle, and when you defeat him, he will join the city. After you recruit Meramon, the Native Forestentrance to Mount Panorama is cleared and you are free to explore there. Meramon joins thecity as the resident chef; he opens a restaurant across from the item stand, and servesseveral meals that raise your Digimon's stats. Note that your Digimon will only eat at therestaurant if he's hungry, and will refuse the food if he's not. Restaurant meals can only beeaten then and there, and are not sold as items to be carried with you. After Meramon'sgone from the Drill Tunnel, the lava river should be gone and you should be able to walkaround down in that area. If you head north down in that moat-like area, you should happenupon a few DemiMeramon in the cave. The DemiMeramon are not hostile and will talk to

you, not fight you. At the end of the moat, you will find a couple of Item Computers. In thearea with the DemiMeramon that talks about cards, run along the eastern wall to find a hiddenpassageway with two Item Computers. These Item Computers hold a Brain Chip and a QuickChip, helpful items at this point of the game. (Thanks to psychic_strata, who found thishidden area! ^_^ ) Besides the Item Computers in the Drill Tunnel, there's nothing really left

to find. Head south in the moat until you find the Drimogemon again. He's digging again, andtalking to him informs you that he will be done soon. Come back in a few days, and you willbe free to run through to Mount Panorama anytime you'd like. Recruitment Digimon! Talk tothe Drimogemon once he's done, and he'll join the city as its treasure hunter. Drimogemonwill find you treasure for either 1,000 or 5,000 bits. Give him 1,000 bits, and hewill search for five days. Return anytime after five days and he will give you an item that he found. For 5,000 bits, he will go for ten days. Generally, the 5,000 bit package will give you a better item, but sometimes Drimogemon brings back worthless items anyway, so it's all based onluck. When you go to pick up your item, make sure you have an empty space in your inventory, otherwise Drimogemon will say you have no room and will not even give you theitem at another time!!! Be careful about that! Now you're probably wondering about theDrimogemon on the third level. He's always digging, no matter how many times you comeback! Well, he did tell you that it would be quite a long time, didn't he? This Drimogemon willnot be done until your city's prosperity rating is higher than 45. He stops digging because hefinds a room where he bumps into an ancient tablet, with the word Leomon on it. Hmmm, what could it be for? ^_^ Recruitment Digimon! Ogremon has escaped from you twicealready, running from both his Great Canyon and Secret Beach Cave hideouts. He's nowtaken over the Drill Tunnels, and once you enter he will challenge you to a battle. Defeat himthis last time, and he will tell you that he is sorry for what he has done. Ogremon will join thecity; he patrols the city, keeping an eye out for any shady looking characters. Nanimonsighting! Once you recieve Leomon's tablet, return to the cave and look to the left of wherethe tablet once was. You should find Nanimon hiding there. If this is the first time you haveseen Nanimon, he will drop the Digital Keychain that will allow you to carry 20 items in your inventory. If this is the fifth time that you are seeing Nanimon, then he will drop a second

Digital Keychain that will allow you to carry 30 items, and he will join the city! Nanimon can befound in five different areas on File Island, so if you're having trouble finding him, consultthese sections: Great Canyon, Toy Town, Ancient Dino Region, and Factorial Town. Torecruit him, you'll have to see him in all five areas. The Drill Tunnel is complete once youfind the tablet, so there's not much reason to be in there after that! By the way, if you're stuckon how to get back into the Drill Tunnel instead of going through to Mount Panorama, whenthey want to know if you should run through, say no and you can enter the tunnel normally.SECTION 5: ANCIENT DINO REGION Ancient Dino Region is a strange place. In theGlacial Zone, time moves slower than normal. In the Speedy Zone, time runs faster thannormal. Ancient Dino Region is home to many dinosaur type Digimon (as you may have

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/digimon-world-walk-through-i 9/30

guessed ^_^ ) such as Monochromon types, Brachiomon, and Tyrannomon himself.Tyrannomon is the guardian of the doorways in Ancient Dino Region, so to enter the region inthe beginning, you will have to battle him. To get to the Ancient Dino Region, go to the AmidaForest where you met Centarumon, and go through any one of the back entrances. You willfind yourself in the Ancient Dino Region, ready to explore! Recruitment Digimon!Tyrannomon is the only recruitable Digimon in the Ancient Dino Region. When you first enter the Ancient Dino Region, he will challenge you to a fight. When you defeat him, he'll talk to

you for a bit, but then return to guard the doorway to the Ancient Speedy Zone. Find him atthe doorway, and he will tell you about a mysterious meteorite that fell somewhere in theSpeedy Zone. Tyrannomon will then move over, allowing you passage into the Speedy Zone.

Be careful in the Speedy Zone! Make sure your Digimon is young; you don't want him fadingaway right in the middle of your mission. Also, make sure you have a good supply of foodand a few portable potties, since your Digimon will want items more often. When you firstenter the Speedy Zone, head north. Keep heading north until you see one solitarySaberdramon (the black Birdramon), and battle him. Defeat him and he will tell you that thereis a hidden entrance in the previous screen. Return there, to the screen with the giganticcaging skeleton, and run along the left wall. You should find a small passageway that willtake you to the meteorite. Follow the path north, and you will find the meteorite huddled in acorner. Actually, it's a Meteormon, which recently fell from the sky. Once you finish talking tohim, return to Tyrannomon and tell him what happened. Tyrannomon's master will tell him tohelp you out by joining the city, and Tyrannomon will take up residence in Meramon's

restaurant: cooking up burgers and other tasty treats. Nanimon sighting! If you return to the Ancient Speedy Zone after speaking with Tyrannomon, you will find Nanimon in the samespot where you found Meteormon. If this is the first time you have seen Nanimon, he will dropthe Digital Keychain that will allow you to carry 20 items in your inventory. If this is the fifthtime that you are seeing Nanimon, then he will drop a second Digital Keychain that will allow

you to carry 30 items, and he will join the city! Nanimon can be found in five different areas onFile Island, so if you're having trouble finding him, consult these sections: Great Canyon, ToyTown, Drill Tunnel, and Factorial Town. To recruit him, you'll have to see him in all five areas.South of the entrance to the Speedy Zone, you will see a Monochromon and a Sabremon. These two are not recruitable, but are just here to give you a bit of information. TheSabredramon tells you about what he saw while flying around, and the Monochromon tellsyou that he's not interested in joining the city. Instead, Monochromon tells you about theMonochromon who owns the Great Canyon shop, which you can recruit. You may havealready done this, but that's all he says anyways. ^_^ Besides recruiting Tyrannomon andseeing Nanimon, there's nothing much to do in the Ancient Dino Region, so time to move on!SECTION 6: OVERDELL Heading back east again through the Tropical Jungle, you willfind Overdell. You may be able to tackle Overdell Cemetary's Grey Lord's Mansion now, or you might not, depending on the type of Digimon that you have with you. Once you enter theOverdell Region, you will notice that there are a large amount of Darkrizamon patrolling thearea. The two guards in front of the cemetary gate are easy to get by, if you don't want tobattle them. Move close to the Darkrizamon on the left, then back away as he runs towardyou. Run around him as he does his small patrol circle, then enter through the cemetarygate. Once you enter Overdell Cemetary, you will notice Tsukaimon and an occassionalSoulmon, which is a Bakemon with a black hat. Recruitment Digimon! In Overdell Cemetary, you will find a Bakemon floating around. Make sure that you talk to Bakemon and notSoulmon! Bakemon is NOT wearing a hat, like the Soulmon wear. Bakemon isn't too bright,as you can see, and he doesn't speak english. Talk to Bakemon, and he will ask you threequestions. You must answer his questions yes or no, and if you get the right combinationthen he will join the city. If you would actually like to know what Bakemon is asking you, bring

your own Bakemon partner Digimon along with you to Overdell. Your partner Bakemon willbe able to translate Bakemon's questions for you. If you're stumped about what the rightcombination is, try: Yes, Yes, No. Bakemon will then join the city, where he does absolutelynothing but float around the city square, and you still can't understand him unless you haveyour own partner Bakemon. Bakke!? ^_^ After recruiting Bakemon, you will probably becurious about the mansion in front of you. The Mansion is Grey Lord's Mansion, and your Digimon will be allowed to enter only if he is a virus type Digimon. Examples of virus typeDigimon are Numemon, Sukamon, Kuwagamon, Metal Greymon, Megadramon, andDevimon. If you are worried about taking a Digimon like Numemon or Sukamon into themansion, don't worry because there aren't really any tough battles except for Skull Greymon,

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/digimon-world-walk-through-i 10/30

and that's not for a while anyways. I took a Numemon through the mansion, and had noproblems searching the mansion. However, I didn't take on Skull Greymon with a Numemon.Once you enter the mansion, most of the doors will be locked. But just your luck! One door isunlocked! The door to the right of the stairs (lower level) is unlocked and ready for exploring.Note that in the first room there is a toilet, just in case your Digimon has to go. Go westthrough a couple rooms, then south where you enter the Dining Room of the mansion. In theDining Room, you can see a shiny sparkle coming from the ashes in the fireplace. (Almost

like a Dragoon Spirit! ^_^ ) It is actually a key: the key to many of the doors in Grey Lord'sMansion. Search all of the rooms that you can open, because many of them have ItemComputers that have a variety of stat chips for your Digimon. In the room with the stairs, go

up and you will find two Item Computers, and two Rockmon. The Rockmon are hostile, so if you don't want a battle, don't try talking to them. They're not friendly. Head southeast pastthe Rockmon, to an area where the ground is like a metal caging. Walk around in thesoutheast corner, and you should break the caging and fall into another room. Head tothe door to the north, and you will be in a room with a coffin. Inspect the coffin and you'll findthat it is really a door to a hidden lab. Myotismon lies on the ground, weak from hunger. He'sbeen working so hard that he's forgotten to eat! Don't worry, this Myotismon isn't like the onefrom the television series. He's a nice Myotismon. ^_^ Myotismon wants you to bring himsome steak, which can be found in the mansion's locked refrigerator. He gives you the key,and tells you to hurry. Return to the mansion's toilet room, then enter the room to the west. The bluish door on the wall is the refrigerator. But when you finally get it open, the meat is

gone!!! Maybe one of those suspicious looking Soulmon stole it. They give you a clue to"return to where the stupid one gave you points." What are they talking about? Well, itseems that the Soulmon are a little bitter. Bakemon is the "stupid" one they are talking about. The points he gave you are the city's prosperity points, which you got when he joined the city.Exit the mansion through the front door, and you should find the piece of steak outside on the

ground. Pick it up and take it back to Myotismon, who will thank you and explain his problem.Myotismon will NOT join the city, even though he says that his men will go to the battle arenato stay sharp. Sorry to all of you who like Myotismon. ^_^ But if you are looking to recruit anew Digimon, your answer could be found in Myotismon's "secret research project."Recruitment Digimon! Myotismon has been working on something funny behind that forcefield locked door. But what is it? Well, to find out, read Shellmon's bulletin board post aboutMyotismon being missing. Next, talk to Angemon in Jijimon's house, if you have Angemon, and he will tell you about searching the mansion for clues. Return to Grey Lord's Mansion, and visit the dining hall room where Myotismon usually is. He's not there, so run upstairs tohis office and enter the lab area where you first found Myotismon when he asked for steak. He won't be there either, so run downstairs and try to leave the mansion. When you do,Devimon should confront you. He won't fight you, but when he leaves the force field on thelocked door is lifted, and you are free to explore the underground lab. Go through the door and down the elevator, and you will find yourself in a strange factory-like area. Pass the twocircling Darkrizamon and you will find yourself left with a choice. There are two doors: oneguarded by a solitary Tekkamon and one guarded by three Darkrizamon. Tekkamon's door isthe correct one; if you try the Darkrizamon door, it'll be a fake. Go through the correct door and you should find Myotismon lying in a caged area. Head north on the screen, and youshould find yourself face to face with Skull Greymon, Myotismon's experiment! Fight SkullGreymon and defeat him, and he will disappear. Run back to Myotismon and help him up,and he will thank you. Myotismon will now return to his spot in the dining hall, so leave theunderground lab area and visit him in the dining hall. His words are caught up in a glitch, soyou can't really hear everything he has to say. Well, that's it for Grey Lord's Mansion! You'reprobably thinking, "wait, how do I recruit Skull Greymon?" Releasing Myotismon from the

caged area automatically recruits Skull Greymon, even though you don't get the happy littlerecruitment message. ^_^ Now that Grey Lord's Mansion is complete, you may leave theOverdell area. Beware of the two Darkrizamon guards at the gate again if your Digimon islacking life. If you want to avoid fighting them, as soon as you leave the cemetary groundsscreen, hold down right on the D-Pad and you should run right past them before they evenknow what's going on. ^_^ SECTION 7: GREAT CANYON Is it anything like the GrandCanyon? Well, I guess it could be, but don't think that there are any invisible bridges in theGrand Canyon, or else you might have a problem! Great Canyon is home to many varietiesof enemy Digimon, as well as recruitment Digimon such as Birdramon, Shellmon, andMonochromon. You will also find a gang of bandits in Great Canyon led by Ogremon; this

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/digimon-world-walk-through-i 11/30

gang lives on the canyon floor and operates the two elevators found in this area. RecruitmentDigimon! Monochromon's shop is most likely the first thing you'll see on your visit to GreatCanyon. His shop is located right next to the Great Canyon toilet, and you are welcome tovisit him at any time. Monochromon makes a deal with you. Business has been slow lately,so he employs you for eight hours to see how much you can sell to various Digimoncustomers. This is an excellent task to do if you're short on cash, but be warned! Eight hoursis a lot of time to be working for 500 or 1500 bits! But Monochromon's mini-game is fun

anyways, so the money doesn't really matter. Various customers will come in during your eight hour shift and ask for items. Your job is to sell them their items for as much as you can, without making the customer upset. If you raise the price too high, they will leave and buy

nothing. If you lower the price too much, the customer is happy, but you make little profit. Topass Monochromon's test, you must make a profit of more than 3,000 bits. Your total profit isshown to you after each sale. Here are some tips on each customer and kind of item: *Customer Digimon will ask for regular meat, portable potties, and medicine. Medicine makesyou the most profit, and meat makes you the least. What they ask for is all chance. If you getmore than two medicine offers, then consider yourself lucky! * Meat should sell at around55 bits, or 60 if possible. Portable Potties should sell for around 360 bits, or 390 bits at most.Medicine is more flexible. Medicine can easily be sold at 1300 bits, but sometimes Digimonwill pay 1400 bits. * Gotsumon are the best customers. They are polite, and will payalmost anything you ask for. They're especially funny when they come in and say, "Man, Isure could use a portable potty!" Gotsumon mostly ask for portable potties. * Weedmon

are the worst customers. They are rude and hate paying high prices. They want items for theoriginal price or sometimes even at below price. The good thing is that they usually ask for meat, so you won't lose too much profit on these guys. * Muchomon are the last type of customer Digimon you'll encounter. Muchomon rarely come in, and when they do they willusually ask for medicine. Muchomon are wishy-washy and unpredictable. Sometimes they'll

pay a high price, and sometimes they will walk out on the first offer, even though it may be areasonable one. Once you sell more than 3,000 bits worth of items, Monochromon willcongratulate you and inform you that it was all a test to see if you were good enough to savethe island. Monochromon will join the city, and will take Betamon and Coelamon's placeselling items. Only this time, Monochromon (or another item shop Digimon, if you alreadyhave one) will build a permanent Item Shop. The Item shop is the red brick building in FileCity. The item shop sells much more of a variety than the item stand sold, which will help youout in the long run. Recruitment Digimon! Yuramon has heard rumors of a gang of banditsliving in Great Canyon that have been robbing anyone passing through that area. The gangis led by Ogremon, and mostly consists of rookie Digimon like Gabumon and Agumon. After hearing Yuramon's rumor, you will be attacked by Ogremon and his assistants when you passthrough the forked area east of Monochromon's shop. If you can defeat them, they will retreatto their hideout, which is located on the canyon floor. You can't get there by the elevator, since Ogremon controls the elevators, but there is still a way. The forked road whereOgremon attacked you is the key to this. To the left of the forked road, you will find that theground is unstable. If you walk around on it enough, it will collapse and send you falling tothe canyon floor. You and your Digimon aren't hurt too bad, and you can now followOgremon into his fortress. Ogremon's fortress is full of Agumon and a few Gabumon, easybattles for your Digimon. There are a few Item Computers in Ogremon's fortress, some withgreat items. In the back of Ogremon's Fortress, you'll find Ogremon himself. Battle him andhis assistants again, and when he loses he'll escape. Ogremon also opens a back door to hishideout, which you really should check for more items. Once you do that, follow Ogremon upthe elevator he escaped in. You won't find Ogremon up there, but you will find Shellmon, whoneeds some help! Ogremon's recruitment will be continued in the Freezeland and Drill Tunnel

sections. Nanimon sighting! After you defeat Ogremon in his Fortress, you may randomlyfind Nanimon lounging around near the back elevator. If this is the first time you have seenNanimon, he will drop the Digital Keychain that will allow you to carry 20 items in your inventory. If this is the fifth time that you are seeing Nanimon, then he will drop a secondDigital Keychain that will allow you to carry 30 items, and he will join the city! Nanimon canbe found in five different areas on File Island, so if you're having trouble finding him, consultthese sections: Ancient Dino Region, Toy Town, Drill Tunnel, and Factorial Town. To recruithim, you'll have to see him in all five areas. Recruitment Digimon! Shellmon is stuck andneeds some help! Apparently, he was standing on the canyon top when suddenly the groundshifted, sending him high up in the air. Actually, you are the cause of Shellmon's misery.

When you took the fortress elevator up, it shifted the canyon ground that was above it.Shellmon was on top of it, and is now stuck. To find him, take Ogremon's elevator up fromhis fortress. Now, go east over a bridge, and on the next screen you should encounter aGoburimon. Defeat him, and cross the bridge to the north. Shellmon should speak to youfrom that point. To help him, take the elevator back down. You'll have to find another way toreach Shellmon now, and here's how to do it. Leave Ogremon's fortress and head east untilyou find the main elevator. Push up once, then on the next floor exit the elevator. Head

northwest, towards the metal bridge. Cross over into Freezeland, but don't go to the nextscreen to the north. Instead, hang a left past the heater and cross the other metal bridge, similar to the one you just crossed. There you'll find Shellmon. Talk to him, and he'll join the

city. Shellmon runs the city paper/bulletin board, which you can read at anytime. It's a goodplace to find clues about where to go next and what to do. Recruitment Digimon! Birdramonawaits you in his nest at the top of the canyon. To get there, press up on the main elevator togo to the top floor. If you're on the canyon floor, press up twice. When you get to thecanyon's top, you will see a metal bird's nest. Walk to it, and Birdramon will attack you.Defeat him, and he will join the city as a transport service. For a small fee, Birdramon will flyyou to a section of the island that you have visited before. Birdra's Transport is a niceaddition to your city, and allows you to go to any other section of the island instantly. No timeis taken off for using Birdramon's Transport. But be careful!!! Carry an Auto Pilot with you just in case you're in a hurry to get back; Birdramon only drops you off, he doesn't return youto File City. Beyond Great Canyon you can find Freezeland, home to Digimon World's icy

Digimon. It's a good place to go if you're looking for new recruitment Digimon, so check it out!Or if you haven't been to the Ancient Dino Region, head back to the Tropical Jungle so thatyou can help Tyrannomon with his problem! SECTION 8: FREEZELAND Freezeland isthe home of ice-based Digimon. Here you can find many recruitable Digimon, as well as aprofitable trading business which will fill your pocket easily. Mind your Digimon though; some

Digimon dislike the cold climate and can become sick if they stay in Freezeland too long. Andbeing sick is not a good thing--or is it? Recruitment Digimon! Angemon can be found in theIce Sanctuary of Freezeland, trapped as a statue. You can only enter the Ice Sanctuary if your Digimon is of the vaccine type. I've never really had a problem entering the IceSanctuary, because a majority of the Digimon I've had are vaccine. The Ice Sanctuary islocated northwest of the Freezeland toilet. When you first enter the Ice Sanctuary, you willsee Angemon's glowing statue. Inspect the statue up close, and your Digimon will alert youto a hidden passageway underneath it. Head down the passageway, into a small hallwaywith Gotsumon and a blue Meramon. If you head north to the end of the hallway, you will finda training area, but nothing else. The secret to the Ice Sanctuary is a hidden passage in theeastern wall of the main hallway. Near the Gotsumon, you will find a darkened portion of thewall on your right side. Walk against it, and you will find that it is really an open passage.Continue on through the passageway, where Gururumon and Hyogamon patrol. Enter thenext room, and you will find four teleporting devices. Teleporting devices look like columns of light that have black pyramids within them. Be careful which teleporter you walk into though!Only one of them is the correct one which will let you continue on your journey. The other three place you in random places in the Ice Sanctuary: in front of the Ice Sanctuary, in thetraining area, or back out with Angemon's statue. To save you some trouble, here's theanswer. When you first enter the room with the teleporters, head to the east and use the firstteleporter you see there. You will end up with more enemies to fight, but on the right path. Inthe next room that has transporters, take the northeastern transporter. This transporter willtake you to the final room, where a Hyogamon and two Gotsumon will be waiting for you.Defeat all three, and you will be able to free Angemon's spirit, which you can find near thesouthern wall of the room. Once his spirit has left, leave the sanctuary basement. The only

important thing is that you have to come up from the stairs that your Digimon foundunderneath Angemon. Once you do, Angemon will greet you, and tell you about his plans for  joining the city. Angemon will join the city as Jijimon's assistant, and will give you informationabout where to look next for recruitment Digimon. Recruitment Digimon! Penguinmon runsthe local curling rink in Freezeland. You will find him in the small cave near the Mojyamon iceflows. The ice flows can be found if you head east two screens from the Freezeland toilet, then south one screen. That's fine, but what's curling you ask? Curling might be the mostaddicting game in File City; that is, if you have enough fish to pay Penguinmon! Penguinmonwill explain it pretty thoroughly if you've never played before. Your job is to beat him at hisown game, which isn't hard because the computer AI isn't too great at curling. Penguinmon

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/digimon-world-walk-through-i 13/30

will let you play the first game for free, but if you lose, then you'll have to bring back a fish toplay again. When you beat him at curling, Penguinmon will join the city and set up a curlingarena in the basement of Greymon's Battle Arena. Penguinmon is a good way to stock up onitems if you enjoy playing curling for long periods of time. For one fish, he will play a gamewith you. If you win, he will give you an item, such as a giant meat or an omnipotent. Itdoesn't matter what type of fish you give him, so if you're in a hurry just snatch up someanchovies down by the lake. Recruitment Digimon! Mojyamon inhabit the ice flows of

Freezeland. They are traders by nature and will often give you expensive items for fairlycheap ones. There are three Mojyamons in Freezeland, each asking for different items.Southwestern Mojyamon Southern Mojyamon Southerneastern Mojyamon

********************** ****************** ************************ OmnipotentGiant Meat Happy Mushroom Med. Recovery Speed Disk DigiMushroom DigiAnchovy Black Trout Super Carrot As the gameprogresses, the Mojyamon in the southwest corner will become your best friend, but makesure you always have an Auto Pilot with you! Each Mojyamon asks for three different items, and if you can bring each of them all three of their desired items, one of them will join the city.Make sure that you watch which Mojyamon you are trading with; when you finish trading, thelast one to recieve their three items will join the city, and you will not be able to trade with himanymore. Make sure that you do not trade with the southwestern Mojyamon last! He is themost important one! The southwestern Mojyamon will be your money maker. To trade withthis Mojyamon for money, first bring with you an Auto Pilot, 99 med. recoveries, and 99

anchovies. (You don't have to bring both, and you don't have to bring 99. Just bring as manyas you can afford.) Talk to the southwestern Mojyamon, and trade him all of your med.recoveries and anchovies. He will give you Super Speed and Defense Disks for your trouble.Be careful, because this Mojyamon traps you in a glitch, and you'll be stuck in that spot after trading. Don't panic. Trade everything you need to trade with the southwestern Mojyamon,

then use the Auto Pilot to take you back to the city. Take all the Disks that you got from theMojyamon to the Item Shop, and sell them for 2,000 bits a piece! For every 99 disks youtrade, you'll get 198,000 bits. Not bad, for med. recoveries that cost you 49,500 bits andanchovies that cost you 4950 for meat. Once you're done trading with all of the Mojyamons, the last trader joins the city and opens up the secret item shop, located down the stairs of theregular item shop. Mojyamon sells you recovery related items. Recruitment Digimon! If youhave defeated Ogremon in his fortress, Whamon will appear in the western corner of the iceflows. It seems that Ogremon has taken over Whamon's cave as his new hideout, whichWhamon is a little angry about. Choose to help him, and he will take you to the cave whereOgremon waits. Ogremon is accompanied by two Gabumon and an Airdramon, which youwill have to battle. About the Gabumon, you won't really need to worry. Ogremon's attackshit everyone, including his own comrades. They'll be passed out on the floor before you evenknow what's going on. Once you defeat Ogremon and his pathetic crew, they'll run away likecowards and escape in a submarine. They're headed for a new fortress: one last place tohide. Whamon is grateful to you for having restored his cave, but informs you that everythingyou did was for nothing. Whamon was impressed by your bravery, and wants to join the cityinstead of staying in his cave. Whamon ferries you back to Freezeland, then heads over toFile City. Whamon serves as a second method of transport, taking you to his secret beachcave and the port side of Factorial Town. When you get back to File City, ask Whamon totake you back to his beach cave. In the back of the cave, you'll find an Item Computer with aMysty Egg in it: Digitamamon's digivolution item! Recruitment Digimon! Shellmon's bulletinboard tells about a Digimon that rescues other Digimon from the cold. What does this have todo with you? Well remember, some Digimon hate the cold. This includes fire Digimon, in-training, and baby forms. Baby and in-training Digimon simply haven't built up the strength to

resist the cold yet. If you take a baby form Digimon with you to Freezeland, your Digimon maybecome sick. If he does, your Digimon will faint from the sickness and Frigimon will save you.Once he saves you, he tells you to be more careful with your Digimon in the cold. You canthen visit Frigimon's house anytime you'd like. You tell Frigimon that you will digivolve your Digimon into a Digimon better suited for the cold climate, and once you do, return and talk toFrigimon. He will join the city as the restaurant's ice cream vendor. ^_^ Frigimon doesn'texactly understand the concept of digivolving, but that's ok. Oh, for all you meanies out therewho are going to purposefully take baby Digimon out into the cold, to make your Digimon sickyou cannot let it sleep. You may feed it and take it to the bathroom, but no sleeping. And for those of you who have super-baby Digimon like psychic_strata, good luck in trying to make

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/digimon-world-walk-through-i 14/30

your Digimon sick! ^_^ One last note: your Digimon cannot get sick from cold in the IceSanctuary. Sorry! Recruitment Digimon! Garurumon patrols the westernmost corner of Freezeland, south of Frigimon's house. If you talk to him, he will challenge you to a battle.Defeat Garurumon, and he will accuse you of cheating. Garurumon wants a fair fight:Digimon against Digimon. Garurumon's challenge is issued for four o'clock; I believe that youcan find him both at 4am and 4pm. If you come any later than four, Garurumon won't bethere. When you do get to battle Garurumon again, it's all up to your Digimon. Yup, that's

right. No healing your Digimon! Make sure that your Digimon is strong enough to take onGarurumon on its own. It's sort of like Greymon's tournaments, so it's not too bad. Upondefeating Garurumon a second time, he joins the city and helps out at the restaurant.

Aside from the Mojyamon trading business, you won't have much reason to visit Freezelandafter recruiting all these Digimon. Garurumon's Freezeland screen can lead you to the MistyTrees area, but if you haven't gone through Mount Panorama, Gear Savanna, and GekoSwamp, it's a pretty bad idea to enter Misty Trees now. Head back to File City so that youcan explore the Mount Panorama area a little. ^_^ SECTION 9: FILE CITY II: INHABITEDFile City will be much different than the last time that you visited it. New Digimon have arrivedand set up shops. Buildings have been built. Digimon roam the streets of File City, all thanksto you. Throughout time, you will find that almost every Digimon that you recruit finds a placein the city. Here is a list of each recruitable Digimon and what they do in the city. Digimonmarked with a (NRP) means that they serve no real purpose to the city, or a purpose isunnoticable. Digimon Name Job ************* **** Agumon Manages Item

There are also two recruitmentDigimon that will attack you in File City! These Digimon are triggered by talking to Jijimon.Recruitment Digimon! After talking to Jijimon when your city has a rating of 12-15, you mightencounter Greymon outside his house. Greymon will approach you and ask you for a battle. If you win, he'll join the city and make a battle arena. If you lose, he wants that street sign.(What street sign?!) Defeat Greymon, and he will build his battle arena in the southeasterncorner of File City. Recruitment Digimon! After Mount Infinity has been revealed, you will beattacked by an Airdramon that seems to be brainwashed. Airdramon hits your Digimon

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/digimon-world-walk-through-i 15/30

before the battle even starts, so be prepared with recovery items. Defeat Airdramon, and hewill rest in Jijimon's house. After some time, Airdramon opens his own little business inGreymon's battle arena. Airdramon will tell you your fortune as well as your Digimon's. Hedoes this for free, and if he tells you that you have bad luck, don't take it to heart. Hisfortunes are random and don't really mean anything. SECTION 10: MOUNT PANORAMAMount Panorama is pretty much one giant circle. If it's early in the game, you will only be ableto access the Gear Savanna from Mount Panorama. As the game progresses, the Drill

Tunnel will open up and you will be able to travel straight from the tunnel to Gear Savanna. But to get to Gear Savanna, you will have to pass through the Mountain for now. There arethree recruitable Digimon in Mount Panorama: Unimon, Vademon, and Mamemon.

Recruitment Digimon! You can't miss Unimon. He's the big metal headed unicorn that islying on the ground when you first pass through Mount Panorama. Poor Unimon's hurt hiswing, and needs a sm. recovery from you. If you can spare one, or any other recovery itemfor that matter, Unimon will feel better--enough to join File City! Unimon joins the Item Shopbuilt by Monochromon, or if Unimon is your first Item Shop Digimon, he will build it. Unimonoffers portable potties, an essential item for any Digimon trainer. Note: Unimon will not beaccessible in Mount Panorama until you recruit Centarumon. Recruitment Digimon! Therehave been rumors about a UFO being spotted near Mount Panorama. You can hear theserumors from Shellmon's bulletin board. If you go to inspect the Mount Panorama areanortheast of Unimon's screen, you will see odd cuts in the ground. You will continue to seethese circles appear in this area, until you finally see what is causing them. If you visit this

area once in a while, there's a chance that you'll see Vademon in this area. When you talk tohim, he'll join the city peacefully. WHEW! ^_^ Once you recruit Vademon, he appears oncein a while in the File City Restaurant, cooking up several alien dishes. Recruitment Digimon!Mamemon can be found north of the screen with Vademon's circles, where Mud Frigimonfrolic in the fields. Mamemon appears with a low frequency, but thankfully not as low as

Piximon. Mamemon appears about once every twenty five or so times that you visit thescreen. If you'd like to find him, run back and forth from screen to screen. Once you seeMamemon, he challenges you to a battle. Defeat him, and he will join the city. Mamemonworks in the secret item shop, selling super stat disks. Mount Panorama's end is Gear Savanna's beginning. If you haven't opened the Drill Tunnel yet, it would be a good idea tostart the Drimogemon on it now. It will provide you with a convenient shortcut from NativeForest to the entrance to Gear Savanna. SECTION 11: GEAR SAVANNA Like MountPanorama, Gear Savanna is a giant circle. Here you will find odd enemy Digimon such asthe pink-bellied Psychemon and the zebra-striped Shima Unimon, as well as a new trainingcenter. Gear Savanna's resident Digimon, Leomon, is the source of many Digimon Worldquestions. Gear Savanna is also home to the Secret Item Shop, which you can find from the1st to the 15th of every month. If you don't have the card machine in the Item Shop yet, itwould be a good idea to visit the Secret Item shop, which is located one screen north of theGear Savanna entrance, then west. The Gear Savanna Item Shop sells and buys cardsmostly, but also has a side business of selling lost items. Yep, that's right. When you lose abattle and are sent back to Jijimon's house, many times you lose an item to the Digimon whobeat you. Well, the Gear Savanna Item Shop can sell you back these items! If you losesomething important, like Grey Lord's Mansion Key or Seadramon's Blue Flute, be sure tocheck with the Item Shop when you can! Also, if you plan on visiting Geko Swamp soon, besure to stock up on cards for the master card trader, Shogun Gekomon. RecruitmentDigimon! When you first enter Gear Savanna, head east and then north, and you will see aPatamon in trouble! You won't need to fight here though, because Leomon will take care of the bad guy for you. Leomon then leaves the scene, headed for the Gear Savanna trainingarea. Talk to him, and he will tell you that he is looking for something, and that he can't go

with you to the city until he finds it. You tell him that if you find it, you'll be sure to let himknow. So what is he looking for? Leomon is looking for his ancestors' sacred tablet, whichcan be found in the Drill Tunnel. Remember the Drimogemon on the third level who is alwaysdigging? "Today we're digging. Tomorrow we're digging. It's so fun." ^_^ When File City'sprosperity rating is above 45, this Drimogemon will finally be done digging! Visit him, and youwill notice that he has found a cave once used by Leomon's ancestors. Guess what? Thetablet that Leomon has been looking for is in this cave. Retrieve it, then go back to Leomon. When you give him the tablet, he will join the city. Leomon hangs out in Birdra Transport, butdoesn't really serve a purpose in File City. Recruitment Digimon! Elecmon paces near a tree, north of Gear Savanna's main entrance. Talk to him, and he will shock you, taking off some

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/digimon-world-walk-through-i 16/30

of your Digimon's HP. Talk to him again, and he'll shock you once more. Talk to him one lasttime, and he'll shock you again--but this time Elecmon notes how brave you are inapproaching him. Elecmon then joins the city as its electrical supplier, and will now reside inFile City at night. He asks you if the light makes a difference to the city. Does it? _̂^Recruitment Digimon! Patamon can be found east of Elecmon, bouncing around as usual.Patamon wants to battle you. Not once, not twice, but three times. After the third round,Patamon will finally acknowledge that he can't beat you, and you can tell him about joining the

city. Patamon agrees, then joins the city. Patamon joins Monochromon and Unimon in theItem Shop, and if by now you have all three of these Item Shop Digimon, the card machinewill appear in the Item Shop. Joy! _̂^ Recruitment Digimon! The last Item Shop Digimon is

finally found! Biyomon sits south of Patamon, apparently doing nothing. Sounds like an easyrecruitment, doesn't it? So what's the catch, you ask? When you talk to Biyomon, she runsfrom you. Continue to try talking to her, and she will run in a square-like pattern, always awayfrom you. Trainer gives you a hint to solving this puzzle when he says that maybe you shouldwait there. He doesn't actually mean that you should wait there and not do anything withBiyomon. If you don't provoke Biyomon in any way, she won't move. What you need to do isfind some way to provoke Biyomon while also remaining in one place to catch her when sheruns. How do you do this? Well, there are two of you, aren't there? Turn around and press Xto talk to your Digimon. This is pretty much the only time in the game where you can actuallytalk to your own Digimon, which is pretty cool. Choose to wait where you are, and your Digimon will then chase Biyomon towards you. When you finally have her cornered, you can

speak with her. You won't have to fight her, and she will head toward the city peacefully.Biyomon is the last Digimon of Gear Savanna, so be prepared to move on after recruiting her! With Gear Savanna finished, you now have access to two areas: Trash Mountain and GekoSwamp. If you haven't visited Trash Mountain yet, then make it your priority to go there.Trash Mountain is where you will find your first fishing rod, as well as a GREAT training area

for MP. As for Geko Swamp, there you will find a, well, interesting trading business going on.Geko Swamp is where you can get your second fishing rod, which is essential for catchingSeadramon in Dragon Eye Lake. You probably have also seen the giant metal gate thatblocks entry into Factorial Town. As of now, you can only get into Factorial Town byWhamon, and will have to wait until you solve Factorial Town's problems before the door opens. SECTION 12: TRASH MOUNTAIN Trash Mountain is home of the filth Digimon,Sukamon. The Sukamon are ruled by the Sukamon King, who resides in the very back of theDust Kingdom. The Sukamon King is a rather rude fellow if you don't have anything to discusswith him, but he may end up to be a good friend of yours if Sukamon is a common partner Digimon for you. There is only one recruitable Digimon in Trash Mountain, and he is a rather useless one. But hey, it's still points, isn't it? ^_^ Recruitment Digimon! One of theseSukamon in Trash Mountain wants to join the city. The problem is that you have to talk to thisSukamon FIRST if you want him to join the city. I've done it a couple times, and if you talk toanother Sukamon first, then the one that wants to go will not join the city. He says he wantsto go, but I never really see him there. If you want Sukamon to join the city, talk to the lastSukamon before the Sukamon King. He's the one that stands near the giant pile of "trash."He tells you that he wants to join the city, and will show up there from time to time. Back inFile City, Sukamon serves no real purpose. He sits in the bushes across from the toilet, andinforms you that he thinks the city is okay, but that he doesn't like the toilet. ^_^ Maybe it's alittle too clean for him around there. When you talk to the southernmost Sukamon, he willtell you that he saw something in the trash piles that may interest you. If you look southwestof where he is, you will see a stick-like item lying on the floor. Pick it up, and you will haveyour first fishing rod! Guess it's time to head back to Dragon Eye Lake, huh? Oh, one morenote about the Dust Kingdom and the Sukamon King. If your Digimon just happens to

digivolve into a Sukamon, bring him to the King and he will change him back for you. Unlessyou like having a smelly filth Digimon, that is. SECTION 13: DRAGON EYE LAKE Onceyou have a fishing rod, you will have full access to Dragon Eye Lake. Well, that is, if you havea good rod. There are two rods available in the game: the worn-out rod and the amazing rod.Can you guess which of the two is better? The amazing rod will get you out farther, but theworn-out rod will do fine if you are just trying for anchovies, snapper, or black trout. Section12 will be about fishing with the worn-out rod, and the fish you can catch with it. If you arelooking to catch bigger fish or Seadramon himself, you can find that in Section 19: DragonEye Lake II. The worn-out fishing rod that you obtained from Trash Mountain isn't toobad. It reaches far enough to get decent fish like the black trout, which raises all of your

Digimon's stats slightly. There are two places to fish in Dragon Eye Lake: a northern shoreand a southern shore. The northern shore can be found by heading northwest from theNative Forest toilet; the southern shore can be found by going one screen south of the NativeForest toilet, then west until you reach the shore. Here are the fish you can catch in eachsection with the worn-out rod. *************** Northern Shore *************** Fish Bait usedLocation Appearance ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DigiAnchovy Closest fish to shore, west side Smallest fish Any bait but

a 500 bit fish! Also, remember that if a fish steals your bait, then if you reel in your linenormally, it may get snagged on an item like a restore or omnipotent! If you're interestedin finding Seadramon in Dragon Eye Lake, then it's time to visit Geko Swamp to claim your amazing rod. You'll need it if you want to catch Seadramon, the lake's guardian. SECTION14: GEKO SWAMP Geko Swamp lies north of Gear Savanna. Yanmamon patrol the

area during the day, while Gekomon wander through the swamp at night. Believe it or not, there is a purpose to Geko Swamp, which is only two screens in its entirety. While walkingthrough the southern screen of Geko Swamp, you may encounter Otamamon, a blue tadpole-like Digimon. Otamamon appears about once out of every four times you visit his screen.Otamamon isn't the most polite Digimon, and you'll be thrown into a battle with him beforeyou even know what's going on. Defeat Otamamon, and you will find yourself in front of theleader of Geko Swamp: Shogun Gekomon himself! Shogun Gekomon gives you plenty of information about the Misty Trees area, which is north of Geko Swamp. Shogun Gekomonwill also help you out by casting a spell on you which will allow you to walk through the mist,to reach the Misty Tree Guardian, Cherrymon. If you didn't notice already, ShogunGekomon is a huge dealer of cards. He will trade you points for cards, and then you can tradethose points in for items. What is even more interesting is Shogun Gekomon's items.Shogun Gekomon carries the amazing rod, which can be bought for 300 points, as well asmany stat chips and digivolution items. Here is a list of items that Shogun Gekomon will tradeyou for. A list of card point values can be found in the card section. Item Points****** ******** Sup. Recovery 20 Sup. Restore 100 Amazing Rod300 Offense Chip 800 Defense Chip 800 Quick Chip 800 BrainChip 800 HP Chip 800 MP Chip 800 Rainbow Horn500 Water Bottle 500 Red Shell 500 Hard Scale 500 Ice Crystal500 If you're looking to stash up tons of stat chips, here's a way to get them fromShogun Gekomon without going totally broke. Buy 99 med. recoveries from the File City ItemShop, then buy cards from the card machine until you have nine of one of your 100 pointcards. 100 point cards are Phoenixmon, Hercules Kabuterimon, Mega Seadramon, ShogunGekomon, and Myotismon. Don't buy any more cards after you have nine of one of these,

because then it is just a waste of 100 points. Take your cards, 99 med. recoveries, and an Auto Pilot with you to Shogun Gekomon. Trade him your cards until you only have one of each kind. You want to save one of each kind because it makes it easier to pull 100 pointcards from the machine. There is an exception for the common and bad cards though. Tradeall of your cards below Penguinmon to Shogun Gekomon. Those are easy cards to pull andyou'll never have a problem finding them. Once you have only one of each card remaining, buy as many stat chips as you can with your points, then leave. Go north through MistyTrees and then on to Freezeland, to where the Mojyamon are. Trade the southwesternMojyamon all of your med. recoveries, then use the auto pilot to return to the city when youfinish. Sell the Super Disks you got from the Mojyamon, and you will have more money to

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

buy cards or items. If you need more stat chips, repeat the cycle as many times as needed. It's a time consuming, but excellent way to get a massive amount of stat chips. Personally, Ihave 17 of every stat chip stocked in Agumon's item shop thanks to this little cycle. _̂^ Notto mention a fair amount of money! Recruitment Digimon?! Well, I'm not too sure. AGekomon standing near the front entrance of Shogun Gekomon's room informs you that hewould like to join the city. The game gives you the happy little message that Gekomon joinsthe Arena, but does he really? I've never seen him there at all. I don't believe that Gekomon

does anything because he isn't even at the Arena, but maybe it is like the Sukamon situation.Gekomon is not supposed to join the city. But maybe he does, if you miss Sukamon? Maybehe's like a backup to getting full prosperity points. SECTION 15: MISTY TREES When

you first enter Misty Trees, the mist in the area will be fairly thick, making it a little difficult tosee enemies and routes. There are two recruitment Digimon in Misty Trees, but they mightbe hard to see if you don't get rid of that mist. To get rid of the fog, you must speak withCherrymon, the guardian of Misty Trees. You can find Cherrymon in the northernmostsection of the forest, blocking the entrance to Toy Town. To get to Cherrymon from GekoSwamp, go east one screen, then north three screens. Cherrymon should be blocking thenorthwestern path there. Talk to Cherrymon, and he should tell you what made all of theisland's Digimon lose their memories. Once he's done, he will remove the mist for you.Cherrymon is not a recruitable Digimon, but is actually a training area within himself.Cherrymon can train your Digimon in brains and MP. Recruitment Digimon! Once you'redone with Cherrymon, you can look for the recruitment Digimon of Misty Trees. The first can

be found by traveling north from the Geko Swamp entrance. You'll find a Gabumon hiding off to the left of the screen, behind a cliff-like area. When you speak to him, he'll challenge youto a battle. After defeating Gabumon, he'll join the city because, well, he's bored and hasnothing better to do. Gabumon joins Drimogemon in the Treasure Hunt Shop, but doesn'tseem to have any real purpose there. Recruitment Digimon! If you talk to Yuramon, he will

tell you to walk in the mist early in the mornings and something good will happen. If youtravel two screens east of the Geko Swamp entrance, you may see a Kokatorimon if you visitbefore sunrise. The Kokatorimon usually appears anytime after 4am, but disappears from thearea when the sun rises. When you find Kokatorimon, he will fight you. Defeat him, andKokatorimon agrees to join the city. In File City, Kokatorimon creates several statues: onenear the File City toilet, and the other in the city fountain. With Cherrymon out of your way and the two Misty Trees Digimon recruited, it's time to move on to Toy Town. If you'rerunning short on recovery items and food, it might be a good idea to take a trip back to thecity to stock up. SECTION 16: TOY TOWN Toy Town is virtually deserted. If yousearch the town, you'll find little more than a costume shop, a Robot House, and a mysteriousclosed off mansion. You may have visited the costume shop and seen Monzaemon, theteddy bear Digimon. He sits on the couch, lifeless and still. Believe it or not, Monzaemon isthe key to opening the giant mansion and saving Toy Town. Recruitment Digimon! Yes,Monzaemon IS recruitable. How? Well first, you're going to have to wake him up. Trainer gives you a clue when your Digimon refuses to climb into the Monzaemon costume, sayingthat your Digimon would have to be slippery to wear the costume. So, to put on the costume, you're going to have to bring a slippery Digimon along with you. If you visit Shogun Gekomonin Volume Villa, he will tell you to bring a Digimon like a Numemon along with you to see whathappens. Once you raise a Numemon, return to Toy Town and visit the Monzaemoncostume. When you touch the costume, it will fall over, leaving the back open for your Digimon. When your Numemon comes in contact with the Monzaemon costume, he willdigivolve! It doesn't matter how old your Numemon is; the contact between Numemon andthe costume causes your Numemon to digivolve. I brought a 6 day old Numemon to theMonzaemon costume, and he digivolved then. Your Numemon will assimilate with the

Monzaemon costume, and you will now have a Monzaemon instead of a Numemon! Isn't thatnice? ^_^ Now that you have a Monzaemon, take him to the Robot House. The Tinmonwill now greet you, and beg you to save their friend who was kidnapped by WaruMonzaemon. The Tinmon opens the door to the mansion for you, allowing you to find WaruMonzaemon. When you enter the mansion, you will find that there are three floors with several enemies oneach. You will also notice that there are three doors on each floor; only one door is correct oneach level to advance to the next floor. If you choose the wrong door your Digimon gets hit, taking off a good amount of HP. On the first floor, you will find three Toy Agumon guardingthe doors. The Toy Agumon are avoidable, provided that you are talented at avoiding enemyDigimon. On the second floor, you will find two Tankmon. The Tankmon are unavoidable,

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/digimon-world-walk-through-i 19/30

unless you are EXTREMELY TALENTED at getting around enemies. The room is simply toosmall and the Tankmon too large for you to escape them. The third floor has three more Toy Agumon, which are avoidable. In the last room, you will find two presents: one large and onesmall. Your job is to choose which one contains WaruMonzaemon. Obviously,WaruMonzaemon can't be as big as the larger present, so choose the small one. When youdo, WaruMonzaemon jumps out of the box, ready for a fight. Defeat him, and he will promisenot to cause any more trouble in Toy Town. He will give you back Hagurumon, who he

kidnapped from the Robot House earlier. Return Hagurumon to the Robot House, and theTinmon will thank you for your help. At this point, the real Monzaemon will join File City, eventhough you never even got to meet him. Monzaemon will remain lifeless in Jijimon's house,

hanging on a coat hook in the back of the house. Even though it seems like you should beable to train a new Numemon and use the costume again, it isn't possible. Monzaemon willremain lifeless for the rest of the game. As for Toy Town, it will be restored and friendlyDigimon will roam its streets. Nanimon sighting! After you defeat WaruMonzaemon, return tothe room where you fought him in the Toy Mansion. Nanimon should be there, and will runaway from you as usual. If this is the first time you have seen Nanimon, he will drop theDigital Keychain that will allow you to carry 20 items in your inventory. If this is the fifth timethat you are seeing Nanimon, then he will drop a second Digital Keychain that will allow youto carry 30 items, and he will join the city! Nanimon can be found in five different areas onFile Island, so if you're having trouble finding him, consult these sections: Great Canyon, Ancient Dino Region, Drill Tunnel, and Factorial Town. To recruit him, you'll have to see him

in all five areas. In the new and improved Toy Town, you will find three friendly Digimonto talk with. The first is a Tankmon who will tell you about the Dragon Eye Lake's Guardian. The second is a Clear Agumon who wants three cards from you as a trade:WaruMonzaemon, Hagurumon, and Toy Agumon. In return, he will give you an X-bandage:Monzaemon's digivolution item. You can trade with this Clear Agumon as many times as you

want, as long as you have the correct cards. The last inhabitant of Toy Town is a Toy Agumon, who stands near the entrance to the Toy Mansion. Toy Agumon tells you aboutcurling, and tells you about getting a perfect score. Other than that, Toy Town is finished, andit's time to take a visit to Factorial Town. SECTION 17: FACTORIAL TOWN FactorialTown is also the source of many Digimon World questions. I'm not sure why, but peopleseem to get stuck in Factorial Town. Factorial Town is the home of mech Digimon, butsomething seems wrong in Factorial Town. You can enter Factorial Town initially by havingWhamon carry you to the Factorial Town docks, and once inside you will have to search hardto open the Gear Savanna gate. Factorial Town has four recruitable Digimon: Numemon,Giromon, Andromon, and Metal Mamemon. When you first enter Factorial Town, headeast from the docks, then north from the main road. You will find yourself in a large area, withseveral enemy Digimon. (Guardromon and Platinum Sukamon by day, Guardromon andGeremon by night.) You will see a manhole that is open at the top of this screen. Enter themanhole, and you will find yourself in a sewer area. You will notice that there is a red fog inthis area, and if you move one screen east you will notice that there is a Numemon there whois getting sick from the red mist. Leave the sewers and you will notice an open door a littlesouth of you. This door is Andromon's control room, and he runs Factorial Town from here.Talk to him, and he will tell you that you have no reason to be here, so that you must leave.Ignore him and leave his room, heading to the east. On the nest screen, you will see twoGuardromon guarding the door to the factory. You're going to have to find a way to sneak byboth of them, but not fight them. Talk to the upper Guardromon, and he will tell you when theshift change times are. He will tell you that the times are midnight and noon, so you mustreturn then. A little before noon or midnight, stake out in Andromon's room and wait untila few minutes after twelve. Now, leave from Andromon's room and head to where the two

Guardromon blocked the door. They should be gone, and will be gone for the rest of thegame. Enter the factory area, and follow the path up to the two Guardromon who guard thenext door. Be careful! There is a glitch if you run into the left Guardromon sometimes, so if you can't avoid them then run into the right Guardromon. After you're done with those two, don't forget the Item Computers that can be found to your left, across the black walkway.Next, enter the door and follow the walkway. There will be a door to your LEFT, which is hardto see. Don't miss it! This is where you will find Giromon, the cause of Factorial Town'sproblems. Fight Giromon, and when you defeat him he will drop to the ground, unconscious.Leave Giromon's room; if you would like to, visit the northern room and visit the ItemComputers there. Once you're done, head back out to Andromon's room. Talk to Andromon,

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/digimon-world-walk-through-i 20/30

and he will apologize for not listening to you earlier. He tells you about some information onhis computers that might be able to be saved, and that he will work on recovering it.Recruitment Digimon! Speak with the Numemon who lives in the sewers after you havedefeated Giromon. He'll have no memory of who you are, and decides he wants to battleyou. Defeat him, and he'll join the city. Numemon works in the Secret Item shop, sellingenemy repelling and enticing items. Thanks to all of you who e-mailed me and reminded methat I left Numemon out! Without him, this walkthrough could not be complete! ^_^

Recruitment Digimon! Andromon won't be done recovering the information for a few days, soleave and come back later. When Andromon is done with the recovery, he tells you about theisland and about people who fought the Digimon. After Andromon is done, speak with him

again and he will join File City. Andromon stands outside Birdra Transport from time to time, apparently serving no purpose. Recruitment Digimon! Giromon is still lounging in his roomafter the incident. He's getting a little better, and wants to join the city. Visit him and talk tohim, and he will join the city. Giromon hangs out near the jukebox in File City's Restaurant, and takes requests to hear music. WARNING! Talking to Giromon in the restaurant willCRASH your Playstation, so be careful! Recruitment Digimon! Metal Mamemon randomlyappears in Factorial Town, on the screen east of the Factorial Town docks. On the screenwith a road shaped like a backwards L, you will notice that the usual enemies are missing.Instead, you will find Metal Mamemon standing on the right side of the road. Apparentlyanother glitch, Metal Mamemon thinks he's Metal Greymon, and wants to fight you. DefeatMetal Mamemon, and he will join the city as Metal Mamemon, not Metal Greymon. _̂^ Metal

Mamemon appears in Penguinmon's curling rink after you beat Penguinmon with a perfectscore of 10. Nanimon sighting! After defeating the Numemon in the sewers, you can findNanimon hiding in the sewers on the same screen. If this is the first time you have seenNanimon, he will drop the Digital Keychain that will allow you to carry 20 items in your inventory. If this is the fifth time that you are seeing Nanimon, then he will drop a second

Digital Keychain that will allow you to carry 30 items, and he will join the city! Nanimon canbe found in five different areas on File Island, so if you're having trouble finding him, consultthese sections: Great Canyon, Toy Town, Drill Tunnel, and Ancient Dino Region. To recruithim, you'll have to see him in all five areas. There's nothing more to do in Factorial Town,or is there? Now that you're finished with Factorial Town, it might be a good idea to stock upon items for the battle at Mount Infinity. By now, the entrance to Mount Infinity should beopened and waiting for you. SECTION 18: MOUNT INFINITY Once File City has aprosperity rating of 50 or more, the entrance to Mount Infinity will be available. Talk to Jijimonwhen you have 50 city points, and he will tell you about the entrance. When you leaveJijimon's house, Airdramon should attack you. After you defeat him, Jijimon tells you that thesource of all the island's problems needs to be eliminated as soon as possible. The only waythat you'll find this source is to visit Mount Infinity, whose entrance lies east of Drimogemon'sTreasure Hunt Shop. Mount Infinity has three recruitable Digimon for you to find the firsttime through, and one extra one after you beat the game. When you first enter Mount Infinity, you will notice that there are tons of enemy Digimon lurking on each floor. There are twotypes of enemy positions in Mount Infinity: enemy Digimon that chase you, and enemyDigimon that are stationary. Enemy Digimon that are stationary usually block the entrance tothe next floor, such as the Vermilimon that you will encounter on the first floor. There aremany kinds of enemy Digimon in Mount Infinity, such as Rockmon, Vermilimon, Piddomon, and Gururumon. Green panels on each level take you to the next floor, while red panelsreturn you to the previous floor. To progress through Mount Infinity, go to the green panel oneach level. There are four levels where there are no enemy Digimon roaming, and these arethe boss levels. Boss levels are simple battles; you fight the boss Digimon, then he joins thecity. The first boss you will encounter is Devimon. Once you defeat Devimon, he will join the

city and work in the Secret Item Shop, selling Devil Chips. The next boss you will find isMegadramon. Megadramon doesn't attack you, and won't unless you choose to fight him.Battle and defeat him, and Megadramon will join the city. Megadramon stands outside of Greymon's Battle Arena, and may fight in some arena tournaments. When you notice achange in your surroundings, you will know that you are close to the end. Metal Greymonwaits for you in the first corridor. Defeat him, and he will join the city, opening a rather useless booth in Greymon's battle arena. Pass through Greymon's area and you will findyourself in the main boss room. Here you will meed Analogman, a human who believes thatDigimon should be slaves to people. Analogman has his own partner Digimon:MachineDramon! Isn't that unfair? Analogman gets to use one of the Dark Masters, and the

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/digimon-world-walk-through-i 21/30

highest you can train is up to ultimate. Totally unfair. ^_^ Machinedramon isn't too tough of abattle, but has a high HP meter. Count on his HP being close to the max 9999. When youdefeat Machinedramon, Analogman will try to escape, but your Digimon friends will stop him. Airdramon will save you, and return you to File City. The game ends here: or does it? Youwill see the game's ending, but when the ending is over, reload the game. You will be able tocontinue your game, to collect any recruitable Digimon you may have missed earlier. Also, inthe movie sequence, Mamemon informs you that Analogman is back, and that you have to

defeat him. Note that after beating the game, Machinedramon will become accessible in twoplayer mode. Cool, huh? If your Digimon is still strong and healthy after theMachineDramon battle, check your supplies and head into the Mount Infinity entrance again.

Go through the entire dungeon as you did the first time, but this time there will only be oneboss Digimon at the end. When you finally reach Analogman's room, you will notice aDigitama sitting in the middle of the room. What could it be? Inspect it and you will find that itis Digitamamon, the egg Digimon. Defeat Digitamamon, and he will join the city.Digitamamon will show up from time to time in the File City restaurant, cooking up dishesmade with eggs. ^_^ If you are completely finished with Mount Infinity and are looking for somewhere new to visit, try Dragon Eye Lake and Beetle Land. Beetle Land can only beaccessed by Seadramon initially, so it's time to catch the Lake Guardian and ask him for help.SECTION 19: DRAGON EYE LAKE II: BEETLE LAND Now that you have the amazingrod from Shogun Gekomon, you will be able to fish for the larger fish of Dragon Eye Lake. Among them you will find the Catfish which makes your Digimon completely full, the Sea

Bass which refills HP and MP while also extending life, and the Lake Guardian himself,Seadramon. With your amazing rod, you can catch these big fish with ease. Theamazing rod is both stronger and able to withstand pressure from larger fish. Sea Bass prefer Black Trout or Catfish as bait, while Catfish like moldy meat and Sirloin. But you're not reallyhere to catch bass and catfish, are you? You're looking for the big fish: Seadramon. This

is the most asked about section of Digimon World. Everyone wants to know how to getSeadramon's Blue Flute from the lake. Well, here are some things you need to do first toprepare yourself for Seadramon. * Talk to the Tankmon in Toy Town who speaks about theLake Guardian and when he appears. This will tell you that Seadramon shows up in themornings and afternoons in the southern end of the lake. * Talk to Angemon in Jijimon'shouse to see if he says anything about the Lake Guardian. * Read Shellmon's bulletin boardpost about the Lake Guardian. After you have done all three of these, head down toDragon Eye Lake. Seadramon swims in the southern end of the lake, and you will find himthere in the mornings and afternoons. Seadramon likes regular meat as bait, but I'm prettysure that he eats almost anything. If you don't see Seadramon there when you arrive, leavethe screen then come back and you should find him. Seadramon is easy to spot inDragon Eye Lake. He's the gigantic shadow that swims in an S like pattern, patroling thelake. To speak with him, you'll have to catch him like an ordinary fish. The best spot to throwyour line to catch Seadramon is between the shadows of the tallest pole, and the bucket thatsits in the water in front of you. Put your line right in Seadramon's path, and he should takethe bait. When he does, reel him in. After you catch Seadramon, you will get to speak withhim. You will have three choices in what to say to Seadramon. It doesn't matter if you askhim for the blue flute first or not, because if you ask him for other things first, it might be morebeneficial. * If you ask Seadramon for an item, you will recieve the Water Bottle:Seadramon's digivolution item. You can ask him for it more than once. * If you askSeadramon to teach you a technique, he will teach you a water/ice technique that you don'tknow yet. You can ask him for it more than once. * If you ask Seadramon to be your friend,he will give you the blue flute. When you use the blue flute, Seadramon is summoned to takeyou to Beetle Land, the home of bug Digimon. You can catch Seadramon as many times

as you'd like, as long as it is still morning or afternoon. After you catch Seadramon and askhim for something, he'll swim away and the lake will be empty. You won't be able to fish withthe lake like that, so leave the lake screen and then come back. The lake will be full of fishagain, and Seadramon should be on patrol. Catch him again, and ask for something else. When Seadramon won't give you any new techniques and you have a water bottle or two, catch Seadramon and ask him to be your friend. He will give you the blue flute and you willbe free to travel back and forth from Dragon Eye Lake to Beetle Land. SECTION 20:BEETLE LAND Beetle Land is the home of bug Digimon. There's not much to do hereother than training or fighting in the tournament, but it is a new place to visit. When you firstarrive in Beetle Land, you will notice a new enemy Digimon that you couldn't find on the main

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/digimon-world-walk-through-i 22/30

part of the island. It's Tentomon! ^_^ While Tentomon is not an available partner Digimon,it's nice that he does make his appearance both as an enemy Digimon and at the Tournamentregistration desk. While you're here, there are also two recruitment Digimon to find:Kuwagamon and Kabuterimon. Recruitment Digimon! There are several Kabuterimon in thegym area to the right of Tentomon's registration table. Talk to them, and the Kabuterimon inthe back will ask you a question about the city. Kabuterimon will ask where you train, andwhen you reply at an Arena, he joins the city. Anyways, after you recruit Kabuterimon, he

moves to the Green Gym area, where he revises all of the training equipment. From then on,when you train, your stat gains will be slightly higher than before. Recruitment Digimon! There are also several Kuwagamon to be found in Beetle Land, in the gym area to the left of

the registration table. The Kuwagamon in the back wants to know a good way to beatKabuterimon in battling. If you answer him saying that there is a sure fire way, he will join thecity. Kuwagamon joins Kabuterimon in Green Gym, upgrading the gym for the final time. Statgains will be slightly raised again. Beetle Land is famous for the bug tournament that isheld on the 22nd of each month, whose prize is a Beetle Pearl: H-K's digivolution item. If youwould like to register for the tournament, speak with Tentomon, who runs the registrationtable. If you speak to him on any other day, he'll just inform you that they're in betweentournaments and that he's bored. Oh, another thing about participating in the bugtournament: you need a bug-type Digimon to compete. This means Kunemon, Kabuterimon,Kuwagamon, or Hercules Kabuterimon. Although I don't see why you'd enter the tournamentwith a Kunemon. ^_^ Well, on second thought, it might be funny if a Kunemon won the

tournament. SECTION 21: THE BACK DIMENSION Just when you thought the gamewas over! The Back Dimension can be found in one of the few dungeon-like areas of thegame, and I believe that it is random for each game. The Back Dimension looks exactly likeMount Infinity, and is overrun with enemy Digimon. You'll encounter Piddomon, Tekkamon,Tankmon, IceDevimon, and Blue Meramon here. When you first enter, you'll also find the

Ray Gun: Vademon's digivolution item. Your first step will be to find where the BackDimension is located in your game. Check the Ice Sanctuary, Ogre's Fortress, and GreyLord's Mansion to find it. The good thing is, if the area you are in is the Back Dimension, thentypes will be ignored. For instance, I entered the Back Dimension in the Ice Sanctuary Areawith a Megadramon, even though he is a virus type that wouldn't usually be allowed in the IceSanctuary. The Back Dimension cancels out the effect of type specific places such as the IceSanctuary and Grey Lord's Mansion. Once you enter the Back Dimension, you will findyourself in an area that looks like Mount Infinity. Things are a little backward here, so you'renot always looking for the green level transporter. Pay attention to what color transporter youstart at, then head to the opposite color. When you reach the third level, make your waythrough the floor and you should find yourself in front of the last transporter. This transporter will take you to the boss, so make sure that you're good and ready before you go! When youget to the boss, there's no turning back or running away. Always be prepared! You willknow when you are in the boss room when the screen says the name of the regular areainstead of Back Dimension. Let's say that you went through the Ice Sanctuary area. You willbe back in what looks like a room in the Ice Sanctuary, but Analogman and Machinedramonstand before you. But wait! Analogman disappears! Unfortunately for you, Machinedramondoes not. Machinedramon challenges you to a battle; this battle is longer and harder than anybattle you've had before in the game, so be careful! It's not Machinedramon's attacks that areirritating, it's more his super defense. Make sure that your Digimon has a decent offenserating before you battle Machinedramon. I first fought Machinedramon with a Megadramonthat had about 600 offense, who used the attacks DG Dimension, Metal Splinter, and PulseLaser. Whenever Megadramon attacked with DG Dimension, it would hit Machinedramon for only about 100 hit points. Pretty pathetic, when you consider that Machinedramon has close

to 9999 HP to start with. How do you defeat him? Watch your Digimon's HP and MP levelsclosely so that he's never knocked out and never low on MP. Next, make sure that your Digimon is constantly attacking Machinedramon. Machinedramon's so fast that it would beimpossible to switch from offense to defense in between his attacks. His attacks can hit youfor anywhere from 600-1700 HP, depending on your defense stat. Also, watch out for hisspecial attack, which can do 2000+ damage to your Digimon's HP. Last, keep an eye on your Digimon's "finish" meter. When it's full, be sure to use it! Just be careful not to get hit whileyour Digimon is charging up. My Megadramon hit for 100 HP with DG Dimension, but withhis finishing move he hit for 600 HP. This can be very helpful in what is otherwise a long andtiring battle. Once you defeat Machinedramon, you'll find that he isn't really

Machinedramon. He's a fake! It was just another enemy Digimon who was made to look likeMachinedramon. But why? After the Machinedramon dedigivolves into the regular enemyDigimon, you will be transported back to Jijimon's house. Jijimon will congratulate you ondefeating Machinedramon, and give you a chain melon. How nice of him! ̂ _^ Guillaume tellsme that you can talk to Jijimon every 25 days, and that you can run the Back Dimension over again. So does this game really have an end? Stay tuned to find out, on the next DigimonWorld: same Digimon time, same Digimon channel! XI. FAQ This is where you can ask

me questions! I answer questions for several Digimon websites, most notably digital-monsters.com. I answer 50-70 questions about Digimon World a day, and these are the mostasked questions. If you have a question of your own, feel free to e-mail it to

[email protected], and if it hasn't already been answered it will be posted on thisFAQ. PLEASE don't e-mail me any questions about how to get Seadramon or how to getspecific partner Digimon; I'm working on adding the partner Digimon to the FAQ, andSeadramon's info is already up here. Any e-mail questions about how to get Seadramon or about getting a specific Digimon will be trashed unless there is something further to your question. Please don't waste my time by asking me questions that are already answered onthe FAQ, because it takes time away from others who have questions that are not answeredon here. Can I get life hearts back? XIV. How can I save my game progress? ******************* Answers ******************* 1. I just started a new game of Digimon World. Why is Jijimonasking me questions? Jijimon will ask you a series of questions, and by your answers hewill choose a partner digimon for you. Based on your answers, he will give you either an Agumon or a Gabumon to start. 2. My Digimon is telling me he's hungry, and I have nothingto feed him. What do I do? Your Digimon will often tell you it is hungry. Talk to Tanemonin File City, who has a meat farm a little north of Jijimon's house. She will give you threepieces of meat a day for your hungry Digimon. You may also find additional pieces of meatfighting Goburimon or Tsukaimon, inhabitants of the Native Forest. Also, sometimes in theNative Forest, you may find a Digital Mushroom on the ground, which you can feed to your Digimon. 3. My item window is empty, and there doesn't seem to be a store. What do I do?Talk to Tokomon in Jijimon's house. He will give you just enough items to get started. Youcan then fight enemy Digimon in the Native Forest, such as the ModokiBetamon who willsometimes drop the very important sm. recovery disk. If you are really strapped for items, make it a point to recruit Coelamon at Coela Point, and he will open up a small item stand for you. 4. How long will my Digimon usually live? Your Digimon will go through 5 life stages(hopefully.) Its first life stage, the baby stage, will last only a few hours. It will then digivolveinto an in-training Digimon, such as Koromon or Tsunomon. Your Digimon will remain as anin-training Digimon until it is a little over a day old, then will become a rookie Digimon. RookieDigimon then digivolve into champion Digimon when they are about 4 or 5 days old, based onits stats and how well you care for it. The last form your Digimon will reach is the Ultimatestage. If your Digimon's stats are high enough, or if you have satisfied other requirements for

techniques, your Digimon may become an Ultimate any time after it is 11 days old.Champion Digimon live until they are about 15-18 days old, while Ultimate Digimon live untilthey are 18-20 days old. 5. I fought Agumon and defeated him, and my rookie or championDigimon is strong enough for me to explore now. What do I do? If you are confident inyour Digimon's abilities, take time to explore the Native Forest and surrounding areas. In theNative Forest, you will find Kunemon and Palmon, two very important additions to your city! Also, be sure to check out Coela Point for a dark shape in the water. If you're ever in doubtabout where to go, ask Yuramon, who stands outside Agumon's item shop from time to time,or ask Tsunomon, who's always bouncing around in the middle of the city's square (the areathat looks like a computer chip.) 6. What are the most important Digimon to recruit

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/digimon-world-walk-through-i 24/30

for my new city? With your new city, you will want to recruit Palmon and Coelamon assoon as possible. Palmon takes over the meat farm, and gives you three giant meats a day, which satisfy your hungry Digimon better than Tanemon's regular meat. Coelamon providesa badly needed item shop, essential for any adventure or trip out of the city. 7. My Digimonwas beaten badly in a fight and needs to be healed, but I don't have any recovery items! What can I do? You can always heal your Digimon in Jijimon's house. Talk to Punimon, who is sitting in the chair on the right side of the house, and he will let you rest for an hour,

which restores some HP and MP. 8. Help! I don't want a Numemon! Or if I don't have aNumemon, my Digimon seems to be digivolving to the same champion Digimon all the time. How can I fix this? If you are getting a Numemon, it could be one of three problems. First,

you may have made too many care mistakes on your Digimon. If that's not it, check your Digimon's weight. Most rookies need to be at 30 before they can digivolve to a decentchampion Digimon. If it's not the weight, then the problem is that your Digimon's stats are toolow. Any problems in these three areas can cause your Digimon to digivolve into a Numemontype Digimon. As for a Digimon who always Digivolves into the same champion Digimon, it isas simple as what stats you train your Digimon in. For example, if you train an Agumonheavily in Defense, it is most likely that he will become a Tyrannomon. If you train the same Agumon heavily in Brains, it will become a Centarumon. And if you train it evenly all around, itwill most likely become a Greymon. When it comes to acquiring different champion Digimon,be creative and try new stat combinations to see what you get. 9. Can I get all of theDigimon from the television series? What if I want a Gatomon or a Gomamon? Sorry! In

Digimon World, several different digidestined Digimon have been left out. Tentomon,Gomamon, and Gatomon will not appear in the game. Neither will Motimon,MegaKabuterimon, Bukamon, Ikkakumon, Zudomon, Salamon, Togemon, Lillymon, or  Angewomon. You will, however, find Kabuterimon and Hercules Kabuterimon, the championand mega forms of Tentomon: in Digimon World, Hercules Kabuterimon is the ultimate form

for Kabuterimon. You may find some of these Digimon as characters in the game, such asTentomon in Beetle Land, but they cannot be used as partner Digimon. 10. I've just defeated[insert Digimon name here]. How come I can't ask it to come to the city? Most likely, whatyou have defeated was an enemy Digimon, not a recruitable Digimon. You can spot mostenemy Digimon easily: they look like the recruitable Digimon, but they are odd colors. For example, the recruitable Gabumon looks exactly like the Gabumon from the television series. He has a blue fur coat and a yellow body underneath. In Gear Savanna, you will oftenencounter Psychemon, which look like Gabumon except for the fact that they have pinkbodies instead of yellow. Psychemon are not recruitable: they are just there to battle youwhen you bump into them. Gabumon, on the other hand, is. Always pay attention to whatyou're battling! 11. Where do I get the Digimon cards? Once you recruit three of the largeitem shop Digimon, the card vending machine should appear in the item shop. The item shopDigimon are Patamon, Unimon, Monochromon, and Biyomon. Also, you can buy cards fromthe special shop in the Gear Savanna, found only from the first to the fifteenth of each month.12. In the player menu, there is a spot for medals. What are those for? Where can you getthose medals? Medals show any milestones you've reached during the game. Theseinclude having 999,999 bits, catching 100 fish, collecting all of the Digimon cards, andfinishing the game. There are 16 medals in all. 13. What is the item Leomon wants? Wherecan I find it? Leomon wants his ancestors' sacred tablet, but you will not be able to findthe tablet until your city's prosperity rating is higher than 45. 14. Who are the main rolecharacters you can play with? There is only one human character in this game! You are aboy who has been sucked into Digimon World to help save File Island. The boy doesn't reallyhave a set name, because it is whatever you type your name in as. You do, however, haveanother character with you: your Digimon! 15. I want a Gabumon! Why can't I get my

Tsunomon to digivolve to Gabumon? I know why you're confused. In the televisionseries, Tsunomon becomes Gabumon. This isn't true in Digimon World. I tried to get aGabumon with a Tsunomon, and ended up with a Penguinmon instead! ^_^ To get aGabumon, train a Koromon in defense and speed, the opposite of Agumon's offense andbrains. 16. My happiness meter started blinking. It goes from a yellow happy face to a bluesad face. What does that mean? A blinking happiness meter means that there issomething wrong with your Digimon. It may be weakened by the outside environment, and istrying to tell you with the meter. For example, fire Digimon have a horrible time when visitingFreezeland. Stay there too long, and your Digimon may get sick. I have also observedanother status related to the happiness bar. You can tell if your Digimon is suffering from this

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/digimon-world-walk-through-i 25/30

status if there is a fly or butterfly whizzing around his head. This is a bad status to have, because your Digimon will lose some of his stat points when the butterfly makes a circlearound him. I have recieved some e-mails that say that you can cure this status by standingon one of the many outlets you can find on the ground, but I haven't tested this so I don'tknow for sure. 17. Can you tell me any cheat codes for this game? Nope! I don't cheatand I don't own a game shark, so don't ask me about cheats. If you want to cheat in a game, why do you need my help? This FAQ is for people who want to play the game through

themselves but need a little push in the right direction. 18. Can I get life hearts back? No.Once a life heart is gone, it's gone. There's no way to get it back. So be careful and mindyour Digimon's HP! 19. Where and when can I save? You can save when your Digimon

sleeps, and also in Jijimon's house with the red digivice. If you save with the Digivice, youmust say yes to saving, but no to saving for battle card data. XII. ENEMY DIGIMONHere is a list of enemy Digimon. I realize that the list is not entirely complete, but I'll beupdating it often. DIGIMON WORLD GLITCHESDidn't think that my FAQ was so complete as to even have a glitch list? Well, it is and it does! This is the glitch section of Digimon World. You know, sometimes glitches are funny. Aperson may be walking around in the air, or may say something wrong by mistake. Some

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/digimon-world-walk-through-i 27/30

glitches in Digimon World are funny, but there are many that can be more IRRITATING thanfunny. Here are all the glitches that psychic_strata and I have been able to find in the game, with a little note if the glitch is harmless or harmful. If you know of any other glitches, harmfulor otherwise, please email me at [email protected] and let me know! Thanks!Glitch #1: When you continue your saved game, you notice that your Digimon has a coupleextra mon's. For example, a Patamon may be read as Patamonnmon on the game loadscreen. This glitch is harmless and is kind of funny, but unfixable. It doesn't harm your

Digimon's name on his status screen at all. Glitch #2: When you go to Agumon's Item Bank, switching from stored items to in-hand items makes it so that some items get "rubbed out" onthe screen. You may only be able to see half of the name of an item, or nothing at all. This

glitch is harmless and can be fixed by scrolling down and then up again on the item menu.Glitch #3: When you talk to Giromon in the File City Restaurant, he tells you about the jukebox and asks if you would like to make a request for music. What you don't know is thatGiromon is really an evil, ruthless Digimon planning on killing your Playstation! Okay, notreally, but having Giromon play music on the jukebox will eventually freeze your game. It'snot funny if you have been playing the game for a long period of time without saving, and thenGiromon goes and crashes your system. This glitch is VERY HARMFUL and the moral of thestory is, don't play with Giromon! This is not a once in a lifetime occurence. I've talked toGiromon five times and he's frozen my system all five times. The same thing has happenedto psychic_strata. So don't think I'm lying or that you have a better Playstation than me,because it has happened to other people. Just don't play with Giromon, unless you've saved

before going to him. I guarantee it'll crash. Why, I don't know. But it does. Glitch #4: Themoney making Mojyamon is really a trap? That's what it seems like. The southwesternMojyamon will trade you 2,000 bit Disks in return for 500 bit med. recoveries, but at a price. When you trade with this Mojyamon, he likes to move around a little. Eventually, you getstuck, and there's no getting away from the Mojyamon. Or is there? ALWAYS CARRY AN

AUTO PILOT WITH YOU! I can't stress that point enough. Even if you do get stuck with theMojyamon, an Auto Pilot can save the day. It's a whole lot better than restarting your game, isn't it? Trust me, once the Mojyamon locks you in, there's only one way of getting out. That'sthe Auto Pilot. This glitch is HARMFUL only if you don't heed my warnings and carry an AutoPilot with you at all times. Oh, and there is a funny thing about this glitch. Trade with theMojyamon enough, and eventually you should see the Mojyamon that usually sits in themiddle come dancing towards you. The glitch with the southwestern Mojyamon doessomething to the middle one which makes him dance on the water, apparently going nowhere. Funny, huh? ^_^ Glitch #5: In Factorial Town, you will find a glitch much like theMojyamon glitch. Inside the factory area (where you had to sneak past the two Guardromonduring the shift change) you will find two Guardromon blocking your path to a door. Just soyou can know your surroundings, there is a black platform to the left that leads to two ItemComputers. Anyways, the left Guardromon will be the glitch for you. If you bump into him, then you will run to a section of the screen to shout out orders to your Digimon like youusually do. So what's the problem? The section of the screen you are standing on is a partof the background! You can't walk on a part of the background! You'll be stuck there, with noway out UNLESS YOU HAVE AN AUTO PILOT! Be wise and always keep an Auto Pilot withyou! In order to avoid this glitch, you're going to have to approach the right Guardromon.Good luck avoiding the glitch! Glitch #6: Thanks to Guillaume, we now have a glitch that cantell you what medals you are missing! For it to work, you must have the top left medal, whichis winning the D, C, B, S, and S tournaments at the Arena. Once you have it, enter the medalchart and place your cursor (yellow square) on a medal that you don't have. Now, presstriangle twice to return to the main menu. Highlight "Digimon" and press X to see your Digimon's stats. As soon as you see your Digimon's picture, press triangle to exit back to the

main menu. Highlight "Player" and press X. Press right twice to highlight "medals" and pressX. Now you will be able to see both the name and the requirements for the absent medal thatyou highlighted in the first step! Thanks again, Guillaume! This glitch isn't harmful, since it'snot going to freeze your game or anything. Glitch #7: Thanks to everyone who e-mailed meabout the card glitch, especially PARAPPA66 who gave me the specific directions for it.WARNING! Before you try this glitch, make sure you save. This glitch is harmful, and mayfreeze your game, so be prepared! To see this glitch, you need to have at least one Digimoncard. Go to the card screen and select a card to bring up its enlarged picture. Now, quicklyhit triangle, X, and triangle, and the card should be there. Keep hitting the triangle button, and the card will be frozen on the screen! You can still play and walk around with the card's

8/6/2019 Digimon World Walk Through I

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/digimon-world-walk-through-i 28/30

picture on the screen. PARAPPA66 also says that you can bring up the Digivolution charts inthe menu, and that it will show you some completed charts. I've tried this but haven't beenable to see complete Digivolution charts, just random ones that don't make sense. Also, thedigivolution charts may freeze your game. Glitch #8: You can find a harmful glitch in GreyLord's Mansion, after defeating Skull Greymon. When you defeat Skull Greymon andMyotismon returns to his place in the dining hall, you will be able to access this glitch. If youreturn to the caged area where Myotismon and Bakemon were being held, then enter the

area, your game will freeze. It's happened to me every time I've tried it, and it happened toneosigma_2000, so I'm confirming it as a glitch. Thanks to neosigma_2000 for being mytester and double checking it for me. Your help is greatly appreciated! ^_^ There's no way

out of this freeze, so if you get caught in it, be prepared to reset! Glitch #9: Once you saveMyotismon from Skull Greymon, you will find him sitting in the dining hall of Grey Lord'sMansion. Myotismon proceeds to tell you about his research, or does he? Thanks to a glitch,a chunk of Myotismon's words are lost, and we have no idea what he's saying. Guillaumehas given us his translation, uh....I mean guess, on the subject. ^_^ Guillaume's guesses areplaced in CAPS: "My research shows that sometimes, when Metal Greymon fades away, heWILL DIGIVOLVE TO SKULL GREYMON. It's the same thing for Bakemon, Devimon, andPhoenixmon, although we don't know who they were at birth. The digivolution charts don'tsay." These Digimon can digivolve to Skull Greymon with a certain probability, only if theylose a life heart. This is what it means by "fading away." Glitch #10: It seems that in someplaces, enemy Digimon seem to attack you, but then a glitch strikes. Some enemy Digimon

may just keep running into you and saying the same thing, like the Blue Meramon in the BackDimension. Others may trap you in one spot, leaving you unable to move. I've also heardone person e- mail me and tell me that they got stuck up on an Agumon's head somehow. What's the best way out of these glitches? Well, for the Digimon that keep running into you,try pressing and holding the D-pad away from them while pressing X to acknowledge what

they say. Usually you should be able to break away. If that doesn't work, and for the onesthat leave you unable to move, use an Auto Pilot to return to the city. If all else fails, the resetbutton is your friend. ^_^ This glitch also includes the third clear Agumon in the Toy Mansion, the one on the left who keeps talking to you. Glitch #11: Want to see something funny? Takea Digimon who can use DG Dimension to Toy Town, and enter the Toy Mansion. When youfight Tankmon or Toy Agumon on one of the upper floors, make sure that your Digimon usesDG Dimension. When he does, the question-mark doors should disappear, revealing threesets of stairs. This doesn't really have any point to it, it's just kind of funny that the doorskeep disappearing. XV. DIGIMON CARD LIST BY PSYCHIC_STRATA Thanks topsychic_strata, we have a complete Digimon card list to post! I could have done it myself, butit was awfully nice of psychic_strata to write it all out. It saves me a lot of trouble, since therest of this FAQ is insanely long, and is a ton of work to write.
