Enzymes
Enzymes are chemicals which break the larger molecules down into smaller molecules.
They work like scissors!
Amylase- cuts the carbohydrate Starch into smaller sugar molecules.
There are 3 types of enzymes we have to know about:
Protease - cuts proteins down into amino acids.
Lipase
- cuts fats down into the smaller fatty acids and glycerol.
