TELEVISION As technology has adverted so much during the years people can watch it on laptops, smartphones , tablets and others.Why people watch TVEntertainment • Television is created for views to have a sense of escapism and relaxations from

there normal lives. This has a huge impact on the audience lives as they are hooked one to the TV program which makes the rating high for the specific show.

• For example Eastenders is a TV drama that allows the audience to escape from their everyday life. EastEnders does this by having a lot of real life situations but is magnified to make it more entertaining.

Information• Finding out events around the world and seeking advice on particular matters.

For example the main one that people us in the UK is BBC news where people can find information about what’s going on in the world and gaining a sense of reliable knowledge.

Similarities • Film and TV are very similar, it provides a sense of realism but allows the

audience to escape from their normal lives . Also film can be a series, like Harry Potter. However The main difference between film and TV is that film is Film don’t offend continue in series which disengages the audience.

• Television series can last as long as 10 series like Friends that is one of the most popular TV series , which allowed the TV series t get a lot of money. However the weakness of this is that there could be a lot of money spent on a TV series and it ends up that its not popular which would have lost a lot of money.

Why people use blogs

• People feel like their not alone, whilst they are sharing story online which allows them to form a relationship online with each other.

• It allows people to seek in others lives. For example fan pages on twitter, Facebook and Tumblr.

• People read blogs for the personal touch, the blog offers over a magazine.

• The viewers can relate to the writer on a personal level.

• Not all blog have content but Flickr is a site where people can just post photos.

Similarities/Differences

• Vlogs and blog have many similarities, they both are written, filmed and edited on a personal bases, for example many Youtuber that are into heath and beauty have a blog that talks about there favorites, a famous Youtuber that has just hit 5 million is Zoella The main differences between vlogs and blog is that vlog is a video and it also gives more of an insight into peoples lives more. Which is the threats to blog.

RADIOWhy do people listen to the radio

Information/Entertainment

• Gaining reliable source about what’s going on around the world.

• It allows the viewer to listen when the are travelling.

• For different types of audiences there are channels, for example different genres of music or a channel based on political debates.

Similarities

• In comparison to TV, radio gives out information and provides entertainment for the viewers with different tastes for example there are different genres of music and for TV there are genres of TV shows .

Differences

• Radio is a audio and television is a visual which makes the audience a bit disengaged with the radio. This is the biggest disadvantage for the radio because people can get the visual connection with the TV rather then on the radio you would have to connect the persons voice.

• The biggest threat to the radio is TV because everything that you can find on the radio you can get it on the TV plus it’s a visual.
