DIFFERENT CAMERA ANGLES
Extreme Close UpThis is mainly used to illustrate an object of significance that may effect the storyline or the character related to it.
Close UpThis is used to show character’s different emotions, and is mainly shows just their head. A close up can also be used on objects to illustrate their importance
Medium ShotThis is a shot of the character generally from the torso upwards. It gives the audience more of an understanding of what the character is feeling and the setting that they are in
Long ShotThis shows the character/characters from head to toe in the setting that the scene is taking place and gives the audience a sense of what is going on.
Establishing Shot/ Extreme Long ShotThis shot is used to illustrate the setting to the audience
Over the Shoulder ShotThis is generally used when characters are in conversation so that the audience can see the opposite character's reaction to what is being said.
High Angled ShotThis is used to make the character appear powerless and inferior, as the audience are having to look down on them
Low Angled ShotThis makes the characters involved appear in charge and intimidating as they are looking down on the audience
