The patient’s name plays back after the Patient Unit # is entered.Press 1 to accept and continue or press 2 to correct.Press 2 to dictate.If Patient Unit # entered is not valid, system states “Patient name is not found or unique.” Press 2 to correct, re-enter Patient Unit #.Press 8 to save dictation & start new.Press 5 to save dictation & log off.

• Edits/Corrections - Electronic signature is available for review/editing. • Edits/Corrections - Fax to 604-806-8257, no “draft” service, cannot dial back into system to edit. • Addenda - Dictate separate report. • Lab results/Med dosages - Clearly state (e.g., 15 vs. 50, mg vs. mcg). • Priority - Press 6 on keypad at any time during dictation, state reason for priority. • Cellular or Speaker Phones - Do not use.

• Identify - Identify yourself, your preceptor, TWO patient identifiers (full name & patient unit / MRN #) • Date of Service - Dictate the date the service was delivered to the patient. • Carbon Copies - Dictate full name of cc and location/specialty if known.

Facilities• Enter *3 to return the dictation system to a previous prompt.• You can only edit any of the demographic prompts PRIOR to dictation.• To move back more than one prompt, enter *3 twice (i.e. wrong facility code after entering pt unit #).• To correct facility ID, you will be prompted to re-enter your dictation ID.
