WHAT ARE ICC?
Inter-Country Committees (ICC) are activities of Rotary International. ICC promote contact between districts and clubs in two or more countries and increase fellowship and intercultural understanding among the people of various nations. Rotarians are encouraged to create new Inter-Country Committees to foster stronger ties between Rotarians, clubs and districts from different countries and establish networks across borders, continents, and oceans.
MISSION OF THE INTER-COUNTRY COMMITTEES
Mission of ICC is to build a force that will
encourage Rotarians to visit each other’s countries
and homes, to strengthen friendships and projects
so formed by encouraging clubs and districts to
connect with clubs and districts in other countries,
and to contribute to world peace.
RECOMMENDED ACTIVITIES
•sponsor new Rotary clubs
•develop a sister or twin club network between participating countries
•conduct Friendship Exchanges between the two countries
•initiate or carry out International Service projects
•initiate or carry out Vocational Service projects
•and many others (partnerships, RYLA, MG)
ORGANIZATION OF AN ICC
• In each of two countries, a national section is being organized, with
the approval of the District Governors and the ICC National
Coordinator for the section in their country.
• After both sections have been approved and are fully operational the
charter is being celebrated in one of the two countries, the next joint
annual meeting will take place in the other country
• Each national section is autonomous and conforms to the rules in its
country.
• It is open to all districts in the country.

NATIONAL COORDINATORS AND
EXECUTIVE COUNCIL
• The ICC National Coordinator promotes,
coordinates and supervises the ICC in the
country. The NC is beeing selected for a three year
term by the governors of the country
• The National Coordinators form the ICC Executive
Council. The Chair of ICC EC serves as a liason
between ICC and RI
• NCs send an annual report of ICC activities to the
Chair and General Secretary of the EC submit to
General Secretary of RI

“The Challenge for Peace” Austrian Rotarian Toni Polsterer,
former chair of EC ICC has offered to contribute 10 000 USD
to the Rotary Foundation for a selected peace project proposed
by representatives of ICC.
