Welcome to the 14th annual sale ofDiamond W in Minitonas,Manitoba. If you have never beento the Swan Valley, I wouldrecommend you make the trip. Thequality of the bulls is very strongfrom top to bottom in both breeds

and the affordability is as good as you will find. You are welcometo tour the bulls at the farm at Hudson Bay any time prior to thesale and then if you can’t attend sale day you can bid online withDLMS.ca this year. The sale numbers are such that if you need anumber of bulls with consistent type and pedigree you can getthem here.There are some definite breeder bulls here and something foreveryone no matter what your program is. There are calving easeand mother making genetics in both the red and black Angusbulls that will help develop the British influence cowherdeveryone wants to have. In the Charolais, there are very easycalving bulls all the way to some big performance white and redfactor bulls that will give any crossbreeding program theCharolais advantage come time to sell your calves. The CharolaisAngus cross has been, and will continue to be, the industrystandard, down the road.The Walkers have been building a strong cowherd for decadesbuying some top herd bulls to complement their AI program andever improving the quality of the herd and the product they haveto offer.Quality also pays a premium when you are selling your calvesand it is a great time in the industry to trade in the older bullsand replace them with some young fresh genetics. Terms: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable immediately afterthe sale in Canadian funds. All settlements must be made with the sale clerksbefore cattle will be released. The right of property will not pass until finalpayment is made. Bidding: Each animal will sell to the highest bidder. Bidders unable to attendthe sale may phone their bids and instructions to the sale manager,auctioneer or special representatives. Bids must be received in sufficient timeprior to the sale. Disputes: Bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If nofurther bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneeraccepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision is final.Announcements: Announcements made from the auction block will takeprecedence over printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are cautioned to payclose attention to announcements. Purchaser’s Risk: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soonas sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonablelength of time. All animals left with the seller must be insured.Certificate of Registration: Each animal will carry papers issued by theCanadian Charolais Association or Canadian Angus Association. A certificate ofregistry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer after payment hasbeen made. Delivery: Assistance will be given in making delivery after the sale. Thepurchaser agrees shipping arrangements will be at the convenience of theseller, but will be as soon as practical after the sale, at the buyer’s risk. Breeder Guarantee - Bulls: Should any bull fourteen months of age orover, fail to prove a breeder after being used on cows known to be breeders,the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within six monthsfollowing the date of purchase or six months after the bull has reachedfourteen months of age. The seller has the right and privilege of six monthsto prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected fromthe bull will freeze.Exception Guarantee: In cases where the animal is subjected to anyhormonal or surgical reproductive techniques after the sale, this guaranteeshall be null and void. The seller is not responsible for damage caused byforeign bodies after the animal has been sold or for sickness not apparent at sale time. In no event shall the seller be responsiblefor more than the purchase price. Accidents: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety andcomfort of buyers, neither the sale manager, auctioneer, or sellers assumeany responsibility and disclaim any liability, legal or otherwise, in the event ofaccident or loss of property.
