Competitor product performance analysis and benchmarking. Conduct and evaluate safety tests on part /product as per agency requirements. Co-ordinate between vendors and designers to solve part / product issues. Perform pilot runs in association with quality team; verify the performance of new parts in the regular

manufacturing process. Generate & Implement an ECO (Engineering Change Order). Maintain approved manufactured list in database. Test Schneider products as per test request and test data sheets in compliance engineering database. Verifying bill of material (BOM), drawings, and components specification. Evaluate sample in lab as well as in product against performance requirements.

PROJECTS @ Schneider Electric

PEP (Product Evolution Process) Projects

Responsibilities:

Design study analysis of modified/redesigned part or new part. Create part change request (PCR) or new part request (NPR). Supplier specification/drawing analysis & verification. BOM (bill of material) verification. Supplier manufacturing process verification. Verification of proto sample & supplier test reports. Proto sample testing & validation (at supplier end, SE test labs). Product level testing & validation. Safety, Compliance & Environmental approvals. Implanting ECO (Engineering Change Order) to communicate designer, quality, purchasing & production. Pilot run in running product. Database management of all relevant documents related to development. PPEP (Part/Product Evaluation plan) with supplier quality team.

Projects

Choke Redesign for Better Cost & Efficiency

Summary: Redesigning & development of dry type Aluminum winding choke rated 250kVA instead of Copper to cut down the cost & to improve the overall efficiency of grid tie solar inverter.Technology used: Use of high grade core with Aluminum winding with optimization of performance with increase of efficiency by maintaining part as well as product critical electrical and mechanical parameter. Duration: March 2014 to Dec 2014.Team Size: 5Achievements: 1200$ of savings per units, less than 1 month of return on investment (ROI) & over 900000$ cost saving per annum, efficiency of the unit more than 97.5% with cutting down the overall weight of the product up to 70Kgs.

Control Transformers & Chokes Development for New Product

Summary: Development of control transformers ratings 171VA, 800VA, 1.kVA and 3kVA & chokes of rating 250kVA for new product (UL certified grid tie solar inverter) within the time frame to meet the solar market demand.Technology: Dry type chokes of high grade core & Copper windings with UL certified Class H insulation system. Duration: Nov 2013 to Jan 2014.Team Size: 5Achievements: Released parts for mass production within the time frame by maintaining the high quality which meet the requirement of the product and provide higher operating temperature range & smooth operation.

Hardcore Wire Harness Development for New Product

Summary: Development of hardcore wire harness (control wire, signal cables, ground cables, power cables) for new product (UL certified grid tie solar inverter) within the time frame to meet the solar market demand.Duration: Nov 2013 to Jan 2014.Team Size: 5Achievements: Released parts for mass production within the time frame by maintain high quality which provides smooth flow of current, voltage and signals for better operations of the product.

Medium Power Torridial Chokes

Summary: To cut down the noise level of medium power UPS (120kVA) by developing the torridal chokes instead of conventional foil type chokes which produces very high level of noise without changing the mechanical con-straints within the product and its high quality.Technology: Torridal choke with circular high grade core, CU windings, UL certified Class H insulation system.Duration: Jan 2012 to Dec 2013.Team Size: 3Achievements: Improved quality of the product with cutting down the noise level of the product with higher effi-ciency & low cost the part.

Competitor Analysis Project

Product analysis between EATON & SE UPS (600VA & 900VA)

Summary: Product analysis of EATON & SE UPS (600VA & 900VA), to improve quality & cost of the SE product by adopting better technologies, child part by making comparison data/chart of performance & bill of material (BOM) between two UPS. Duration: Jan 2014 to Feb 2014.Team Size: 3 Achievements: Identified major area of improvements related to technology, process, child parts with respect to competitor product, which helped us to attain low price, high quality SE UPS.

Supply Chain Projects

Developed the control transformer from local suppliers for both UL & Non UL Grid Tie Solar Inverter (680kVA) to meet cost target.

Developed multiple suppliers for PFC, Inverter, and Battery chokes with better cost & benefits.
