pema electrotehnic Romania produced part of the components belonging to one of the greatest mobile concrete casters in the world used for the intervention in Japan aimed to settle the temperature of nuclear power plant reactors and to cast the concrete necessary for the insulation of nuclear power plant reactors at Fukushima Daiichi?

The mega pump is leased for a site project where the American Government is building a MOX power station. Japanese people have a greater need for this unit than we do, so we must give it up`, declares Jerry Ashmore, whose company, Ashmore Concrete Contractors, Inc. from Agusta, U.S.A. Is providing fuel for that power station. The pump, manufactured by a famous German company, can be remotely controlled and has now a lever of 70 meters, which makes it adequate for radio-active environment, as it was in Fukushima. There are only three such pumps in the whole world, and only two of them are indicated for such extreme interventions, so we need to send this pump to Japan as quickly as possible, says Ashmore.

The pump is easily modified and transported to the International Airport in Atlanta, and the biggest Russian cargo plane in the world, Antonov 225, transported it to Tokyo. Four smaller pumps are engaged at Fukushima, diffusing water to the reactors. In the first phase, the pump puts water on the reactors and thereafter it is used for concrete cast aimed to bury the reactors in a tomb. We remind you that the nuclear incident took place at Fukushima-Daiichi on the 11th of March 2011, at Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant which contains 4 nuclear reactors, and following the earthquake in the Eastern Japan arisen at 14:46, a powerful tsunami took place. On the 15th of March, the authorities in Tokyo announced that an explosion occurred at the 2nd reactor (block) at Fukushima damaging its coating and provoking a radioactivity increase in the surrounding area.
