“Hasani” is the toponym that the central area of the former airport site had, during the long of Turkish Occupation.Etymologically, the term “Hasani” has the meaning of“Rough and Anomalous Land” and this is indicative ofthe geomorphologic character of the area before the establishment of the Airport*. It was a barren and rocky land that was crossed by many streams.
