RELATIONAL DATABASE AS-A-SERVICE • Built on SQL Server provides highly available, scalable multi-tenant database services

hosted by Microsoft. SQL Azure databases are easy to provision and deploy.

• High availability and fault tolerance is built in with no physical administration required

• Provides Transact-SQL (T-SQL) over Tabular Data Stream (TDS) and supports ODBC and ADO.NET, LINQ, WCF Data Services (formerly “ADO.NET Data Services”) and ADO.NET Entity Framework etc. OLE DB is not currently supported with SQL Azure.
