General: It must present the photographers portfolio of selected capturing light photography. It should encourage others to return to the website and share with others. Ideas are formed as thoughts shape themselves and are expressed in several ways to the world, like the portfolio, this project is an expression of my ideas through digital mediums.

The other main purpose of my website is to promote the photographers work because I want to express my interest in her capturing light and allowing other amateur photographers to learn. SurveyA survey is appropriate because I need to see how different people view my interpretation of design and the purpose of the website and ranging between age group, etc.

SurveyA survey is appropriate to see peoples opinions on whether they were encouraged to learn capturing light photography and found her work an exceptional example.

Aesthetics: My website must have a black and white theme that presents the photographers work professionally. My website should have a page that implements a photographers biography and give background knowledge to viewers. It should be appealing in terms of the theme. Each photo should have a paragraph about each photo that describes the - why, what, when, where - elements. It should also have quotes that describe the photo for the captions that are chosen by the photographer.

I need to know what type of theme the website must be implemented and should be approved by both the photographer and myself. The theme previously chosen was black and white and I felt that it best suited the photographs. It also portrayed the subjects of the images professionally. It should implement a photographers biography and give background knowledge to viewers allow amateur photographers to relate to the artist and understand how she learned her own skills. It should also match with the theme of the websites specifications. Each photo should have a paragraph that describes the - why, what, when, where elements according to the theme to further describe how it was taken. The captions should be quotes that are chosen by the photographer as she felt it portrayed the photo to her own taste and as well as provide depth to the photography. ChecklistA checklist will help to remind me of what type of theme and layout I am creating on the website and being able to stay on the right path when creating the visuals, such as the headers and graphics. It will also narrow down the number of objects that I have to create. ChecklistI will check if the website has a link to a photographers biography that gives background knowledge of the photographers work to viewers.

SurveyA survey is appropriate because I need opinions from the audience on the websites aesthetics.

ChecklistI will check to see if I have used the why, what, when, where elements in each of the paragraphs per photograph. I will also check to see if I have implemented the selected quotes as captions.

Function: The website should have easy navigation. The links should lead to the direct page without technical difficulties. The information should be presented by one of the three set fonts and follow the right sequence. The photos should have the option to be enlarged to full resolution for viewers to see clearer.

Navigation between links and accessibility within the homepage is very important as it allows viewers, especially newcomers, to move between pages without difficulty. If the pages have broken links, it hinders the professionalism of the website design. One of the important parts of website design is using no more than three types of font styles and sizes, therefore my headers, sub-headers and main body text all have different size and style variations. High-resolution photographs are extremely important for a portfolio, as it is the main subject of the artwork. The option to enlarge photos not only demonstrates skills, but also provides detail to the work. SurveyI will need the audiences opinion of the simplicity of the navigation and if they reached the desired pages.

Practical Skills: It demonstrates how my HTML skills have developed from beginner to at least intermediate. It demonstrates my skills on creating effective layout and composition. It also demonstrates my level of creating aesthetics. The website should demonstrate an intermediate degree of my learning of HTML and CSS skills and the implementation of those skills should be reflected within. The websites homepage best portrays a high level of aesthetics and using the given elements to create effective and interesting composition and layout. SurveyA survey is appropriate because I need others views on whether it is noticeable that the website was created by someone without extensive knowledge of HTML.

Theme/PaletteThe black and white theme was first requested to be a design specification by the photographer and in her previous website, I believe that the palette should match the black and white theme as it best portrayed her work and demonstrated a sense of professionalism.It must have a black and white theme that presents the photographers work professionally. It should be appealing in terms of the theme.

My interpretation of the portfolio is about capturing light and by recreating the ideals behind the photographs in the website, it is trying to create a message to the audience that the work is professional and the techniques used are very specialized. The theme of the website is very important as it sets the purpose.

GraphicsTo have a variety of graphics such as the header and tags demonstrates my practical skills in both coding and displaying my ability to identifying interesting composition and layout. The graphics are also in theme with the rest of the design and implements the photographers work in them so the viewers do not lose focus of the purpose. It also adds to its uniqueness.It demonstrates how my HTML skills have developed from beginner to at least intermediate. It also demonstrates my skills on creating effective layout and composition. It also demonstrates my level of creating aesthetics.The graphics reflect the essence of the website and must implement inspiration from the photos. My headers and tags shown above applies ideas I found in my analysis of sample websites and used the photographs to recreate the same ideas. This demonstrates my ability to use my analysis to inspire and implement them in my graphics. My graphics are also in theme with the black and white theme obviously. It also uses the set font styles.

Font StylesTo add to the professionalism of the portfolio, choosing no more than three styles of fonts is important in maintaining the simplicity. The font style is very important as it reflects the ideals of the website.The information should be presented by one of the three set fonts and follow the right sequence.For the header and sub-headers, I used the same font Helvetica Neue, but changed the font size to differentiate between the main header and the sub-headers. The captions are another font style altogether as they add idealism to the photography.

ImagesThe photographs that the photograph selected in her capturing light portfolio are the focal point, which fits the black and white theme perfectly. It maintains the flow of overall aesthetics. It must present the photographers portfolio of selected capturing light photography. The photos should have the option to be enlarged to full resolution for viewers.I have obviously implemented in my original graphics and followed the photographers specifications on how to portray her work. I have thought of interesting ways to use her work for different purposes.

It adds to the sense of relevancy and connects the photographer to the viewers. It should have a page that implements a biography.Each photo should have a paragraph that explains the - why, what, when, where elements, along with quotes as captions chosen by the photographer.Each tag contains photos of the same location and each photograph has a caption of the quote chosen that best suits the idealism of the subject and has a paragraph that explains the subject of the photo, how the photo was taken, which techniques were used and where the locations were. This is to teach other people of her skills.
