Tezpur University is looking for Guest Faculty initially for one (01) semester (Autumn 2016) as per thefollowing details.

Essential qualification

(i) Good academic record with at least 55% of marks or anequivalent grade on a point based scale wherever gradingsystem is followed at the Master's Degree level in PublicAdministration or Political Science (with specializationin Public Administration) from an Indian University, or anequivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidatemust have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET)conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited bythe UGC like SLET 1 SET.

(iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and(ii), candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D.Degree III accordance with the University GrantsCommission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Awardof Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted fromthe requirement of the minimum eligibility condition ofNET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment ofAssistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities 1Colleges 1 Institutions.

(iv) NET 1 SLET 1 SET shall also not be required for suchMasters Programmes in disciplines for which NET 1 SLET 1SET is not conducted.

Desirable: Ph.D. degree

Honorarium: Rs. 1,000/- per Lecture subject to Rs. 25,000/- (Maximum) Per Month.
