CONNECTING COMMUNITIES FOR GENERATIONS TO COME.PROJECT BENEFITSDOWNTOWN SAN BERNARDINO PASSENGER RAIL PROJECT:∙ Extends Metrolink service one-mile from the Santa Fe Depot to the multi-modal San Bernardino Transit Center∙ Increases usage of the Sante Fe Depot∙ Improves grade crossing safety∙ Provides a link to additional transit options in San Bernardino, Redlands and Loma Linda∙ Helps create an environment for sustainable communities∙ Provide safe pedestrian overpass at the Santa Fe Depot ∙ Part of a strategy to meet AB 32 (Global Warming Solutions Act) and SB 375 (Sustainable Communities Strategies) goals∙ Paves the way for a future commuter rail system to the City of Redlands
