The octopus is one of natures most intriguing creatures. One of the smartest animals known to sci-entists, they have been known to use shells to create fortresses and even as weapons, as well as learn at a rate that is probably quicker than most people you know.For this design, I started with the photo of an octopus taken by Kait-lyn Kistler, and tried to find an in-triguing design within the octopus itself. This evolved into circular shapes in 2D, then a more pointed shape in 3D, which evolved into a very geometric pattern at the end.From octopus to geometry - an ex-periment in problem solving even an octopus would approve of.
