Turbines in drinking water systems
Application of turbines to the conditions in Water Supply Systems
� The bearings of the guide vanes are maintenance free, without any need for lubrication; thebearings of the runner are located outside the turbine casing so the water cannot be polluted bylubricants.
� Special design for reduction of water hammer effect,even in long pipelines.
� The regulation of the control system is based on theactual flow in the pipeline or on the water level in theupper tank or behind the turbine.
� A special design ensures smooth operation and highefficiency with varying heads and flow at the sametime (e.g. day and night intervals).
� Reference plants operating in Slovakia, Czech Republic,Romania, Portugal and Armenia.
