This self-named kids apparel store aims to have a

cool, child–friendly, and unique design. Thus, I

came up with a concept where modern simplicity

and bold colors meet, a playful interior but doesn’t

disintegrate sophistication and class. Its design

integrates bold and disciplined use of two

minimalistic principles: white surfaces and black line

drawings. Every detail of the interior has a unitary

function, bringing it with an aesthetic pleasure.

Each furniture is in proper coordination and it is

ensured to use soft, curvy edges for the furniture for

safety. Colors in rainbow palette and its unique art

style is added to create a young atmosphere in the

space that appeals not only to kids, but also to pre-

teens, teen, and older ages.

The Philippine Blood Center lobby café is the place

that serves as the meeting point of many people

around. It is the most comfortable place in the

center and also for doing some business deals. But

since it is a hospital café, it is more complex and

difficult to design suitably than a typical café shop.

Functional requirements, codes, and health

department regulations are strict with respect to

the interior design of hospital departments. So, a

sophisticated, elegant, and relaxing interior space

is aimed for this lobby café with high-class design

and feeling. The color scheme is inspired from the

colors of the blood cells as well as from the color of

coffee bean. The chandelier with capiz shells serves

as the focal point of the space. It is a space that

reflects positive energy within the building.

Calvin Klein Jeans is one of the most popular brands of

clothing especially for denims. For this project by pair, we

decided to make a design that will clearly say that “this is

Calvin Klein” but with more innovation. The mixture of slate

flooring, teak wood, and neutral palette is used since these

are usually used in CK’s trademark interiors. Proper flow of

people and space planning is carefully observed and

aesthetics is also considered. As much as possible,

The goal of perfecting details and telling stories through each carefully conceptualized

and executed part of the design create one unique experience. A sense of place is not

merely about what you see, it is what you feel. This design successfully exudes a restful aura

while expressing its historical and cultural identity. It showcases a gentle elegance, a rustic

atmosphere, and details of the lifestyle of the Aklanons of Boracay, such as the sagwan and serene pastel shades that remind one of the beauties of Boracay beaches.

The underlying theme of this interior is multiculturalism: design bursting with images and

bright colors inspired by observations through a Filipino’s perspective.

Inspired from Ati-Atihan Festival, the Ati tribe embodies the rich culture of the Filipino

people. Today, these indigenous people are considered extinct and only imitations of their

customs and traditions can be seen in festivals. In a typical hotel suite, the spaces are

simply for comfort and leisure, and some are creative interiors that will surprise guests. This

hotel suite’s interior centers on expressing its own history while distinguishing itself from every

other hotel in the country, through the impermanence of Philippine culture.

To meet the expectations of a deluxe room, refined elegance and beauty in the simplest

details are evident in this design. Inspired by the vivid, blazing sunsets, rich, royal tones of

violet and lush, varied hues from the orange color palette are found in this room. Green

shades add a cool yet suitable touch as well. Geometric details not only mimic the sun’s

rays but add yet another fascinating detail to be appreciated in the design. Warm wood

and gentle neutral tones contribute to this restful “home away from home” experience.

The warmth and radiance of the sun reminds one of freedom and

joy, fun and relaxation. When translated into color, it is bright,

vibrant and happy. With all these in mind, the aim for the design is

to “let the sunshine into the room” to enliven guests, through

joyous colors and ample lighting and a comfortable ambiance.

Translating the sun into design, touches of bronze, gold, honey

hues are abundant in the interior. Warm lighting, earthy tones and

the radiant gold and yellow combine flair and a homely

atmosphere. All these aim to give the user a sense of comfort and

warmth, while appreciating the beauty and liveliness of the

summer vibe.

When a male and a female shares

a space, the attempt to keep

things gender neutral often results

in a bland atmosphere that leaves

everybody cold. In any home

inhabited by both men and

women, it's important that both

genders feel comfortable and at

home in the space. It must make

sure that no-one feels like an

outsider in their own home. With

men becoming increasingly active

in home life, it has never been

more important to compromise

when it comes to interior design.

Located at Maog Residence,

Lancaster New City Cavite, the

concept is to create a gender-

neutral design, maintaining a

harmonious balance between

gender-specific elements, steering

clear of distinctly masculine or

feminine themes.
