bioI have just finished my degree in Interior Architec-tural Design (BA Hons) at the University of Salford. Before that I was a carpen-ter, working on the produc-tion, manufacturing and restoration of handcrafted furniture. I come from a hard working class back-ground, so I’ve the ethic and drive to be asset to any company. Thanks to my past experiences both inside and outside of employment and education have shaped me, into becoming a highly driven and adaptable individual. I am able to fit in to any given environment and fast paced working atmos-phere. Being highly aware of my weaknesses and space for improvements makes me more capable of efficiency when trying to rectify and develop them as quick as possible. Both past life and employment history have taught me discipline that I can bring to my work. I often teach myself new software programmes to broaden my knowledge in current design programmes. I am dedicated to bringing humour, positivity, strong work ethic and effective-ness when working to a design practice.

- Module: Material Specification & Detailing. In collaboration with the RSPB, Salford City Council &

Salford University

- About:To understand outdoor structures built from natural materials and how to become sustainable in surround environment. Practicing technical detailing

and material specification. The design proposals intent is to create a closer relationship between structural

synthetic spaces, the occupant and the natural habitat that backdrops the space. A three way holistic

interaction cycle. To bring a sense of community & regeneration to what was once a derelict area.

Develop model making & software skills.

- Materials: Locally sourced timber from local manufacturers based in Salford & Manchester. Two

way outdoor weatherproof mirrors to fitted into wooden frame panels on timber structure.

- Term: Spring 2012. - Course: Interior Architectural Design. - Critic: Andrew Wilkins. - Module: Spatial Design for Context - About: Using similar principles as Frank Lloyd Wright to design a 21st century city house for a young professional couple. Implementing similar elements to Wright but using modern techniques and materials. The aim was to mirror their lives through a physical structure. Using exposed & raw materials I was able to capture a holistic atmosphere between the client and their surrounding environment. Such elements as: Local history/Honesty/Clear/Precision/Influential were used in the design process. Plan models and hand draw perspectives were included.- Software: Autocad, Photoshop, Sketchup, Artlantis rendering package.

- Term: In my own time - Critic: Myself - About: This was a short project I set myself to practice my rendering skill. I find bringing lines from AutoCAD to real life & giving the client as near as possible vision of a concept the most exciting part. I tried practicing using the geometry within the 3D model as the lighting to create varied and almost heavenly symbolic feel (hence the church) I believe in always pushing yourself out of University, this shows passion, enthusiasm and motivation - Software: AutoCAD, Sketchup & Artlantis

Institutions - Government, churches, industries and the like

have properly no other function that to contribute to human

freedom: and in so far as they fail, on the whole, to perform this

function, they are wrong and need reconstruction. CHURCHISM.

NEGOTIATED FINAL MAJOR PROJECT

The Scarab House Project

- Term: Spring 2014 - Course: Interior Architectural Design - Critic: Mathew Morris, Trevor Stratford - Module: Negotiated Final Major Project - About: To come up with a suitable solution to the current housing crisis in the UK. Create awareness to everyone from architects, to young families, to see the potential of a self-sustainable community, housed in pleasant dwellings and engaging with one another. The houses must be adaptable to the surrounding environment, giving longevity and be populated by dwellers that help one another to belong and become proud of their living spaces. The design must influence people, work around the people and the environment, and be affordable. The houses I designed do not have any interior, as the interiors are completely unique to every inhabitant, as they are able to interpret their space through the ingenuity and craft of the house’s intelligent structure system. This results in infinite interpretation, as there is an increase in adaption. - Materials: A.H.M.S (Adaptable Housing Mechanical System) Intelligent durable flexi skin (external weatherproof skin covering adaptable structure) 4DG Bricks (4 Dimensional Graphextable) Cottrell precipitator.- Software: AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Microsoft Office, Acrobat, Autodesk MAYA (Animation)

“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is

the one that is most adaptable to change.”

~ Charles Darwin

- Whilst working at Décor Fusion I also helped out on other colleagues works such as a shisha bar, restaurants, and take always. My technical drawings and specification sheets have improved immensely since my time at both University and my 5-month experiences of design internships. At Décor Fusion I learnt a vast amount of industry standard knowledge such as how to speak to clients, site visits, technical skills and what its like in the office, where as I learnt more about myself and the work ethic of that of that the Hong Kong and mainland peoples on an international context over seas in China. I come from a working class background, and have strong ethics that I adhere to, resulting in me being immensely driven, adaptable and reliable. I have lead an interesting past that has shaped who I am, and I can honestly say I would be asset to any company. Thank you for taking the time to study just a fraction of whom I am and what I do, please feel free to contact me.

MODEL/

It is rare you get the oppurtunity to build many models in University, but when I have the chance, I am down in the workshop straight away!

It can often become to easy to be entranced into the techno age and use digital media to produce projects electronically. There is something very satisfying when making physical models.
