Optimized project design. Our simulation

software can quickly design the optimal system

based on a project’s requirements such as loca-

tion, weather conditions, building layout, energy

consumption, legislation and ppA/FIT rates.

Investment ( ROI ), and improves such design

to optimize the client’s ROI.

Energy generation projections, custom for

Unlimited design. While most pv racking offers

limited tilt angles and inflexible designs, our

unique, proprietary software-based engineering

and manufacturing approach allows us to gene-

rate quickly designs with custom tilt angle

( from 5o to 30o ) on tilted roof, flat roof, or on

the ground, unlimited inter-row spacing and

virtually unlimited modules elevation from the

roof deck or ground. We provide more data and

more options than any other manufacturer to

help you take better decisions.

Ultra-resistant, light, all aluminum innovative design. Highly resistant to corrosion without

anodizing, 6000-series structural aluminum

alloys and 304 stainless steel components offer

outstanding quality. 10 years warranty standard

( 20 years available ).

Design for high wind and heavy snow loads. Opsun’s racking design can be rated for wind

speeds up to 160 mph/255 kph ( hurricanes

proof ), or for snow loads higher than

100 psf/4.8 kpa.

Clicloc* quick-connect & grounding clamps. All Opsun racking systems use the best tech-

nology on the market: the Clicloc clamps click

in the rails, slide in place and lock the modules

with a single tool, while providing UL 2703

compliant grounding solution.

versatIle Flat rooF raCkIng DesIgn

DetaIls

Various configuration. Flat roof systems can be

built with tilt angle from 5o to 30o and unlimited

inter-row spacing ( shading angle ). A wide

range of rails and components selection gives

us the flexibility to design any level of rigidity

so that an appropriate racking structure can

be created for each project.

Highly structural design. Stronger rails allow

low loads on roof. System can be adapted

to the highest wind and snow loads.

Easy leveling and adjustment. Components are

designed with leveling and adjusment features

that can correct installation misalignment,

uneven roof and local roof deformation

( i.e. drain ).

Open Array. Roof is kept accessible for main-

tenance after installation, since there is no

wind deflector. Open back allows module to

operate at lower temperature, thus generating

more power.

Anchored Solution. Opsun’s highly structural

racking reduces the number of anchors

required, and allows the creation of entirely

anchored solutions for a low cost.

Custom engineering. Structure is imagined and

designed to meet the project’s requirements,

local loads and legislation. Modules can be

installed in portrait or landscape position.

Ideal racking for bifacial PV. Open array struc-

ture with large span and a high roof clearance

optimizes the energy collected from the back

side of the bifacial pv panels, and increases yield.

other Features

High profile: large air gap, modules above snow. Modules are usually from 7 to 15 inches

above the roof deck, allowing for significant

snowfall before the modules get covered with

snow. Elevation of modules on the roof

is fully customizable.

Roof protection. All Opsun roof racking

includes thick rubber pads to protect the roof

and is compatible with most roof’s warranty.

Sacrificial membrane is rarely required.

Preassembly. All ground rails ( up to 24’ ) can

be preassembled in chain, at factory, greatly

accelerating installation time. A unique clamp

design allows to install cross rails with a simple

quarter turn of the wrist.

BOS connectivity. Our team can design the

arrays to allow installation of components like

combiner box, inverter or switch anywhere

along the rails. Inverter racking can be easily

integrated on the solar structure. Rails slots

can also be used for wire management.

Wind tunnel tested by a leading test facility. All flat roof racking systems were tested to

minimize wind loads on the roof as well as the

amount of anchors or ballasts. Racking systems

are Building Code compliant even at tilt angle

as high as 30o.

Software simulated. Our team tests each

custom assembly in advanced aviation-grade

software to verify its structural integrity under

project-specific loads.

Air gap up to 6 inches. Brackets offer easy

adjustment to roof unevenness. Components

can be easily connected anywhere along the

rails’ channels for faster installation ( 4” standard

air gap, can be increased ).

Low cost flashing. Roofing adhesive membrane

seals the roof fixture. Simple flashing design

allows to drill lag bolt anywhere, reducing

installation time.

SMC™ Fixtures. patented fixture goes on top

of corrugated metal roofs ribs. Many models

available with shapes that match exactly most

brands in America.

No new holes pierced into the roof. perfectly

sealed with special roofing membrane. Load

is distributed on a 4” x 4” surface, to better

protect the roof.

Customized structure for the local loads. different aluminum rails and custom engineer-

ing allow to design a structure specifically for

the location of a project, adapted for the local

weather conditions.

Prevents PV degradation. Aluminum rails

have the same thermal expansion than the pv

modules, slowing silicon degradation. Modules

supported on their full length limit deflection

and reduce stress, further reducing degradation.

Several modules per pile. Our engineering team

will match the array design with the project’s

requirements, such as inverter strings’ length,

and will reduce the number of ground piles

as much as possible.

Piles & foundation versatility. Compatible with

all types and size of piles and soil, ballasted

options possible on some soils.

BOS connectivity. Avoid extra work by connect-

ing any component, like combiner box, inverter

or switch anywhere along the rails or the array.

Adjustable. Up to 2” tolerance for piles’ position

( in all directions ) allows cheaper and faster

posts set up.

Features

aDDItIonal Features

Seasonal adjustment. One bolt can be quickly

changed between two positions to switch the

system’s tilt from 35o to 55o, which provides the

best solution to harvest up to 5 % more energy,

for a minimal cost.

Preassembly. 80 % of components can be pre -

assembled in chain in a factory. Efficient trans-

portation ( up to 500 kW per flatbed truck ).

preassembled components can then be placed

on ground posts by hand, no lift required, and

installed with only two bolts.

Hookclamp™. Opsun’s innovative components

allow cross rails to be inserted and locked in

place with a turn of the wrist, significantly

speeding-up installation.
