DIGITAL FABRICATIONS3D PROTOTYPESWe use the latest digital fabrications techniques including 3D Printing, Laser Cutting and CNC Machining that are connected with the state-of-the-art CAD and BIM design software. Technical Security SystemsDB offers companies and organization security services that protect them from unexpected incidents. We implement and maintain different technical security systems such as:

• Access control and attendance • Intrusion prevention • Perimeter protection • IP Video security surveillance systems

In addition to using the NICE Situator which is a software platform that monitors technical security systems, reports on any damage, risk or error and coordinates the response of action when emergency incidents happen.

Electrical Services DB offers design and construction services of electricity infrastructure, lighting, power supply facilities, besides the reconstruction and adaptation of existing electrical systems. With the substantial efficiency and quality we’ve attained, our goal is to become a full-fledged system integrator and supplier of the needed materials and equipment for the technical solutions implementation. In addition to providing our clients with unique systems for real-time remote monitoring and control of power networks (SCADA).

Mechanical ServicesWe provide diversified solutions to our business clients that include design services, equipment delivery, implementation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing and fire systems.Our system design services cover the review and analysis of existing systems, budgetary cost analysis for system upgrades, technology review and selection, trade coordination and the design of Building Management System. All of our designs are based on universal standards like ASHRAE and SMACNA.

CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISIONAt DB, protecting the environment is part of our core values; accordingly, we use paperless communication between architects, engineers, owners and project participants, certified by digital signatures to promote an eco-friendly mode of communication. In addition, the team oversees each phase of a project from the very beginning all the way to post-construction operations to solve any technical difficulties.

MANA’EESH INC.The elliptical shaped dough of Mana’eesh Inc. is inscribed into interlocking pentagonal dining tables. The resulting geometries are reinterpreted into a CNC’ed abstract wall pattern all along.

PRESSDESIGNSPressDesigns is a brand by PAD10. It is a concept store that offers a range of products designed by PAD10. The collection is manufactured from reused matter sourced at Four Films. The materials utilized in crafting the products include paper, wood, metal and acrylic. The collection covers five departments: Stationery, Home Accessories, Children’s Gamesy, Women’s Accessories and an exciting section that showcases products by local and international Guest Designers.

The eco-friendly and contemporary products possess a uniquely modern sensibility with aesthetic and functional relevance.

PAD10 OFFICE SPACEPAD10 is an interdisciplinary design studio that hosts creative minds to provide design solutions. The office is the work space of creative professionals who work in the fields of Architecture, Book Design, Branding, Editorial Design, Events, Exhibitions, Furniture, Identities, Interiors, Packaging, Posters, Print Matter, Publications, Rebranding, Signages and Websites.

The tenth floor, with panoramic views of Kuwait’s urban center, is designed with a setback from the perimeter’s full height glass walls, while the remaining walls are painted with matte black to suppress any glare or distraction from the breathtaking view on a nice day.

The open plan layout stresses on the collaboration among disciplines. The desks, arranged in synchronization with the plan structural bays, compose a central strip running parallel to a low library shelving system. The desks’ surfaces are imprinted with graphic design and architectural references. The conference room is rendered semi-private by a library wall.

The conference table - (deba)table, enforces the idea of an open plan by allowing no single person to head the table, but rather be on either side for a debate with moderation.

GREPCOThe boomerang shape of the floor plan, intertwined with two tiered client interface - with a reception area at the front and a secretary area in the middle, catering to the executive team - creates a series of office spaces with alcove open spaces in between to mediate public with staff.

NBK MUSEUM KUWAITLocated in the central headquarters of National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) in Kuwait City.

The space encapsulates the different periods where NBK played a pivotal role in the history of Kuwait and in shaping its financial base.

With state-of-the-art audio-visual interactive surfaces and traditional construction techniques of mangrove ceilings and other elements, the space narrates and intertwines the story of NBK with that of the State of Kuwait.

DAWRATAtypical individual ‘school’ desks, with hinged desktops and motivational colloquial scribbled imprints, can be fit with one another to form conference tables for collective brainstorming. Multiple pebble-shaped atypical conference tables are fit within the space to transform it from a tutoring classroom to a debating conference room.

MUY.BRARY WALLA long library wall-unit snakes its way up the stairs of a duplex apartment, connecting living to sleeping – public to private and engaging the visitor midway at a split level entry vestibule.

The unit transforms from a deep kneehole desk along the north light window to a shallow low bookshelf unit in the bedrooms area.

White lacquered MDF vertical silhouettes, derived from Eadweard Muybridge’s ‘Nude Descending Stairs’ interlock with clear acrylic shelves.

The fluid interplay of drawers, cabinets, and shelves along 25 meters comes to a pause here and there to feature objects in shelves and cabinets with linear and planar LED backlit colored lenses.

DEBA(TABLE)A unique feature of the PAD10 conference room is the conference table. (Deba)table, as it is aptly called, enforces the idea of an open plan and ensures a moderate debate by allowing no single person to head the table due to a dip all along its central spine. Laser-cut slices rest side by side on a brushed stainless steel frame. The slices’ materials can be syncopated to suggest any desired

NUQATThe stage for Nuqat Conference, designed by PAD10 and built by 4F.E.S.T, reflects on the theme of Copy-Paste Syndrome. Mirror Stage collapses the relation between the performer and the audience through the use of mirror fragments with multiple degrees of reflection and refraction. Upon entering, the viewer is faced with mirror view of the seating, doubling it to erase the boundary between the stage and the seating. Once seated, the audience are faced with their image on the stage, simulating a potential performer in every viewer.

MICROSOFTMicrosoft delivers end-to-end security and access to information through an integrated line of protection and access and identity management products. Microsoft believes that security should be a means to a business end. The company is working to deliver business-ready security to help companies achieve their business goals while managing risk, and at the same time helping ensure that the right people always have access to the information they need to get their jobs done.For the exhibition, reference material from Microsoft’s vast graphic resources helped create relevant, efficient and professional marketing materials that promoted their business solutions.A beautiful drawing, comprising a raised platform and an upper floor was erected as an elegant and unique way to receive VIP visitors to the Microsoft booth. The partners for Microsoft also had a part in the stand: two areas were designated for branding and logos along with counters to receive customers. Demos for clients were carried out in the Workstation area.Understanding what drives customer satisfaction and loyalty is crucial to Microsoft’s continued success. So, the exhibition booth had a special area for the customer, where they could learn more about the company and the offers and solutions Microsoft provides.

VIVAThe VIVA booths at Infoconnect 2012 embody the dynamic silhouettes of the brand. The 20m x 27m booth structure incorporates the wave canopy hovering over the main booth in a cantilever structure. This booth constitutes the Meet and Greet, Try and Buy, and new featured products. A separate 12m x 12m booth caters to VIVA dealers, while a 10m x 5m VIP section is especially reserved for visiting government officials. All booths are made of white lacquer plywood, modular flooring, wide-format and cutout stickers, laser-cut backlit acrylic boxes, and other media. This was a winning design entry that was realized at Infoconnect 2012, held at the Kuwait International Fair Grounds, Halls 6 and 8, Mishref.
