Design a whole new cover look for the box set ‘The best of Roald Dahl’, reinventing it for a new generation of readers, encouraging children (and adults) to revisit it and ensuring that it remains an integral part of childhood

Dahl was a master of language and of making up words. His stories are full of fabulous visual twists and turns

CHILDREN PRIZE
Design 1Focusses on one quote from each of the books. The quotes are really strong and magical so they are the main focus on the cover. This will intrigue the viewer and make them pick it up to find out what the book is.
The title of the book has been made into a little logo, which is then read second to the quote (the colours are chosen so the title stands out more)
The box set focusses on the fact that roald dahl is the No.1 best seller, and uses the same design style as the book covers, creating a little logo for the title of the box set. Book marks are sold with the set but can also be sold separately as promotion

Design 2the second book cover design focusses on several quotes from each book, which form an image wich is iconic to the book. This is to make the viewer intriqued in what the im-ages are saying, therefore making them pick the book up.
The box set uses the same idea, but has been made into a notebook style, displaying quotes roald dahl has said himself.
Book marks have also been made to be sold with this set and separately as promotion.

Has a more sophisticated design element. To appeal to an older market. Colours have been kep quite soft since it is a childrens book. Simple decorative imagery has been used, creating an iconic shape from the books (peach, books and chocolate)
The box set implements the same design rules, focussing on decorative imagery encassing and highlighting the title.
Book marks have also been made here, using different design elements from the book covers. Can also be sold separately.
