Conceptos importantes…
Effective: When the project achieves
its objectives and goals.
Efficiency: Obtains and develops their
goals by using resources in an optimal
manner (materials, time, etc.).
Effectiveness: Effective and efficient
at the time
(Vega, 2001)
What is an environmental action plan?
It is an operational instrument, which operates within the framework of the
environmental management plans ,carried out in a specific environmental
context, where it is necessary to treat and/or solve environmental problems,
providing operational solutions of strategic type
(Definition adapdted from Vega, 2001; Corporación Ambiental
empresarial, 2008)
• It is materialized in a document that serves as a tool Guide for the purposes proposed in previous lines; This must be raised by the members of an organization, under the precept based on the balanced use of natural resources, without neglecting economic and financial resources management, as well as human, for the minimization of environmental impacts caused by the same organization.

Estretegic component
Objectives: Are environmental purposes authorized under the
Organization's policy. They pose as comprehensive and achievable
statements that seeks to achieve a reality .These must be
realistic, effective, coherent and quantifiable.
Goals: Arising from the environmental objectives, and evaluate
the achievement of them. They pose a delimitation and
quantification of the objectives in quantity and time, being a
temporal and quantitative target
Strategies: The paths and steps to follow through ,which later
becomes the objectives the goals articulated.
(Definition adapdted from Corporación Ambiental empresarial, 2008)
Resource component
• Resources available: technological, human and
financial.
• Programs: set of guidelines that determine media that
articulated from the head of the organization can
provide a comprehensive solution to the problems.
• Projects: Articulate programmes as such, developing
them by segments and making them easy to use with
regard to the fulfilment of objectives, indicators
analysis and resource management.

Environmental diagnose
Important:
Define a period of time, long enough to establish a pattern and behavior . Not so long, in order to avoid making futile efforts; or which is sufficiently short to
not set the behavior of the organization.

Environmental evaluation

Importante: Processes are defined, depending on the nature of the Organization, or area and part of the processes of that area.

Management of solid wastes
Reduce the daily amount of solid waste generated in the educational institution during the school day.
50% Daily reduction of solid waste generated in the educational institution during the school day, in pro to control the impacts associated with impaired quality of visual of the educational environment and the soil contamination in the regional context of the institution.
Kg/day/waste generated in the institution. Kg/day/waste sent to recovery by the percentage of recovered waste in the educational institution total waste generated
(Definition adapdted from Corporación Ambiental empresarial, 2008; Sánchez, 2011)
Managemente of solid wastes project
Project: "Give a break to the world" (proper management of solid waste during the hour of rest)
Project: "Renew your creativity" (reuse of solid waste to develop artistic projects and to incorporate them in the work of the subjects of the institution)

Follow and evaluation
Indicators
They are the particular instrument that applies to quantify or to make qualitative analysis of relevant aspects in each of the processes, results, impacts or effects a plan object.
They qualify the evolution of an organization over time, thus
noting trends that may in any particular case allow early
warning; additional, but no less important, they allow an
assessment of programmes and projects
(Definition adapdted from Corporación Ambiental empresarial, 2008)
Indicadores ambientales“… quantitative descriptors of the changes both in the environmental
pressures (caused by humans) in the State of the environment“ (Opshoor and Reijnders ;Kuik and Verbruggen, 1991: 8; Cuello and
Durbin, 1995)
Environmental performance indicators
Environmental quality indicators
Environmental treatment indicators
They provide specific information about the results of the environmental performance of an organization.
Describe the quality of the surrounding of the institution
Evidenced by the organisational actions are undertaken to minimize the environmental impacts caused.
(ICONTEC, 2004; Toro and Requena, 2007))
Mechanisms for the monitoring of variables and environmental indicators (success,
environmental quality and compliance) used in the diagnosis and assessment of impacts;
continuous improvement.
Role of environmental indicators in the Organization
System of environmental indicators
Set of instruments and technological resources for the operation, generation, storage and analysis of information, as well as the monitoring and evaluation of the environmental situation of the company.
Organization must be defined based on the nature of each indicator and its own means, how to structure this system.
