• DEFLATION: THE PROCESS BY WHICH WIND REMOVES THE TOP LAYER OF FINE VERY DRY SOIL OR ROCK PARTICLES AND LEAVE BEHIND LARGE ROCK PARTICLES. THESE PARTICLES OFTEN FORM A DENSLY PACKED SURFACE CALLED DESERT PAVEMENT
