Located in the heart of Las Vegas it combines elegant beauty
and modern charm. With 148-beds the facility includes a gym,
serenity and massage room, 5-star chef and complimentary
housekeeping — all while under the care of a highly dedicated
clinical and medical staff.
Our goal at Desert Hope is to help individuals and their support
systems attain and sustain lifelong recovery, exemplified through
our evidence-based, peer-reviewed curriculum. Our program,
lasting from 30-90 days depending on client needs, strongly
focuses on trauma, behavioral health issues and enlightenment. We

as well as recovery-oriented challenge and expressive therapies and
EMDR. We provide all levels of care including detox, residential,
partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services.
Desert Hope maximizes the probability of sustained recovery
through customized gender-specific treatment plans and by
providing as many services as possible for the restoration and
balance of mind, body and spirit.

clinical overviewOur treatment philosophy,
like all facilities within the
American Addiction Centers’
family, is rooted in the
5 essential elements of Believable Hope.
Our program ranges from 30 to 90 days, depending
on a client’s needs. Our 30-day program is divided
into four weeks of curriculum with several treatment
methods worked daily. The curriculum, “Embracing
Change: Recovery for Life” emphasizes personal
discovery in an engaging visual way. Our therapists
apply evidence-based modalities to assess current
situations, clearly define goals and develop necessary
coping skills.

symptoms of withdrawal. Whenever possible, we contact the

trained in administering safe protocols to help make the
process safe and as comfortable as possible.
therapeutic ServicesOur enriched program facilitated by our clinical staff, as well
as our Medical Director and Director of Nursing, consists of:

Family programIn addition to our weekly individualized
family therapy sessions, our Family
Therapy program helps loved ones
understand the role of chemical
dependency and how to rebuild the
family system. Wayne Raiter, M.A.,
LICSW, a pioneer in family therapy
with more than 35 years of national and international
clinical experience, developed this unique program.
This monthly two-day intensive program includes
group and family therapy sessions with significant
figures in the client’s life, teaching healthy coping
strategies and offering insight on working and
non-working relationships.
Chances for recovery are greatly increased with family
participation; we encourage our clients to ask their
family members and/or employers to take part.

Family Program
• Discharge &
Aftercare
Discharge & AftercareRecovery is a lifelong commitment and lifestyle;
a client’s primary therapist and/or case manager
meet with the client to discuss ongoing aftercare
plans and coordinate with outpatient providers when
appropriate. Referral sources, FMLA paperwork,
connections to sober living, follow-ups to outpatient
care, individual therapy sessions, reintegration back
into the family and any other needs are assessed and
scheduled by the Desert Hope staff.
The final plan provides clients with the appropriate
contacts, resources and referrals allowing recovery to
continue. Immediately following discharge we provide
medication information, recovery maintenance
services for follow-ups and specific discharge plans to
further ensure sobriety.

Taking Pride In Every StepCovering almost two acres, each rock in our outdoor
12-Step Walk formation signifies one of the twelve
steps. Clients take pride in their recovery by reflecting
in the garden as they progress through treatment.
We believe in celebrating successes throughout
the journey, including participating in our weekly
graduation ceremonies.
