Dear Friend or Potential Member,

If you hold this book in your hand right now, I must assume that you are a Leader of one of our churches, an official member or someone who is in-terested to become a member of our great move-ment of God. We are a group of loving people just like you who gather together to pursue a more inti-mate relationship with Jesus Christ. We stand in the power of God to bring forth his word to all nations as mandated by our Lord and Savior Jesus-Christ before his Ascension. We endeavor to work with our churches, our Christian friends, groups, Denomina-tions and individuals to do just that. We want your experience here among us at Mount Olives to be a great one that you will remember, and that all of us

will cherish.

As President of the Denomination, It gives me great pleasure to invite you to take your time to read the whole book and figure all that we are about, what we do, where we are operating and what you can do to encourage us in this great work of God. Under-standing the kind of work that is involved, you can automatically see that prayer is essential to be vic-torious, and the financial means to face the respon-sibilities ahead of us is crucial. Therefore, we rely on God’s providence and your generous support and contribution to carry out the mandate of our Lord Jesus-Christ. (Matt. 28:19-20). It would also be a blessing to get acquainted with you or to your church, as we are looking to partner with many friends all around the world. It is my prayer that you will find a great deal of interests in our spiritual movement and agree to come and work together with us taking the Good News to all nations to bring

back our King. (Matt. 24:14)

I sincerely look forward working with you, your Pas-tor and every Department of your church to promote and expand the Kingdom of Jesus– Christ, our Lord

and King do come.

OUR SHORT HISTORY AS A DENOMINATION

It was in the year 1971, Under the counsel of Pastor Jean Ornan Laurore and Rev.

Wilner Rejouis, a group of Pentecostal Pastors founded an Organization bearing the

French name: IMMITATEURS DE JESUS-CHRIST which means JESUS IMMITATORS. In the

year 1975, the group left Brooklyn, NY where it was originated to move to New-Jersey.

Then, the group changed immediately to a church called “Pentecostal Church of God”.

The two courageous leaders and founders of the group, in occurrence, Rev. Jean Ornan

Laurore and Rev. Wilner Rejouis sensed a call of God to go down in Miami, Florida to con-

tinue the ministry and changed the name once again to “Mount Olives Church of God”.

By the end of the year 1979 to open 1980, As they left to expand God’s work in a new

State, they were replaced by Rev. Charles Rejouis who courageously carried the load to

hold fast the church left behind.

It was all the way on June 3rd, 1985 that a meeting of all the Leaders and Pastors came

to the table to analyze the many progresses made by our Pastors and leaders with the

first two (2) churches planted, that we came to the agreement to create a new Mission

that we all know today under the name of “Mission Mount Olives Church of God.”The

church was marching on, Rev. Charles Rejouis took on big responsibilities and challenged

the 50 baptized members to work hard to impact the community with Evangelization,

non-stop Christian activities, solid biblical teachings and faithful services which will re-

sult to a church of over 1500 members. That is why this is our Headquarter church lo-

cated at 24 Cleveland Street in New-Jersey.

By the grace and mercy of God, the group Missionary Men of the Church of God from the

Mother Church in Orange, New-Jersey went down to Haiti in 1986 to plant a new church

in Gazanges, Artibonite, North of Haiti. A year later in 1987, they went back to plant an-

other one in Chin Contant, La Gonave. And they kept coming down and planting

churches. Today, we are fully in operation with over 16 churches in the USA and with a

little over 40 churches in HAITI and a number of Elementary Schools in almost every ma-

jor towns of the country. We have established 6 different DISTRICTS which will grow

more and more in the near future. We just start working in Canada and in the Dominican

Republic.

All the glory be to God who has been so faithful to keep his work going and growing to

bring more souls to his Kingdom. We did good to stand on the word of God in Phillipians

4:13, believing that: “We can do all things through Christ who give us Strenght.”

OUR RELIGIOUS BELIEFS

Preamble

In order to establish and maintain a place for the worship of Almighty God, our heavenly Father, to make possible the fellow-

ship among those who share the same religious ideologies, or the Holy Spirit may be honored according to our distinctive

testimony; to take our share of the responsibility and privilege to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ by every means possible,

locally and in foreign countries, we are a local church that is part of the church God Mount of Olives, Inc.. and in communion

with it, and adoptions of the following articles about the church and we submit to be ruled by them.

Statement of Faith

As one Christian Assembly of New Testament believers, we, Church of God Mount of Olives, Inc.. Sign the following declara-

tion of the things that are certainly among us actually accepted beliefs (Luke 1:1), praying that there is no difference of belief

that is harmful or divisive to offend anyone, or disturbing the peace and harmony of the church, and so we all of one mind and

one judgment, and we all wanted the same language of love (1 Corint 1:10 ; Acts 2:42) and that we glorify God with one voice,

for the edification of his people, and as a Christian witness in the world.

The Holy Bible

We believe the Bible, consisting of sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy

Spirit, without error in its original texts, and the sovereign authority in matters of faith and life.

The Trinity

Our God is a trinity in unity, manifested in three persons, Father, son and Holy Spirit. God is infinitely perfect, being co-

existing, co-equal and co-eternal in three persons.

God is the Father and it is greater than all. (John 14:28) the source of the Word (Logos) and life (John 16:28, John 1:14)

The son is begotten of the Father. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross

on him just for the unjust as to justify the sacrifice men from their sins by his blood poured through.

The Holy Spirit is a Divine Person. He is the executive of the Trinity on earth, the Comforter sent by the Lord Jesus Christ as

promised.

God

We believe in one God eternally existing in three equal persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

God the Father Creator

We believe in God the Father, Creator and Lord of all. He is the author of the plan of redemption for humanity accomplished

through His only Son Jesus Christ and he watches over his creation by his providence.

Jesus Christ

We believe in our Lord Jesus Christ, true God and true man. We believe in his miraculous birth from a virgin, his sinless life,

His atoning death, bodily resurrection, mediatorial ministry unique to the Father for the saints, his personal return to judge

and reign.

The Holy Spirit of God

We believe in the Holy Spirit who convicts the world of sin, regenerates the believer or the believer, unites him to Christ and

the seal or the day of redemption. Once the new birth, he remains in one who is saved by Jesus Christ, it’s team for the ser-

vice and sanctify or gradually.

Satan

We believe that Satan exists as an evil personality, the origin of sin and supreme enemy of God and man.

The Human Being

We believe that man was divinely created by God in his image. We believe he has sinned in Adam and Eve, so the physical

and spiritual death spread to all mankind so that all people are sinners, lost and separated from God by nature and by choice,

as God’s condemnation.

Redemption

We believe that by his death, Jesus Christ offered himself in atonement for the sins of humanity which fully satisfies God’s jus-

tice.

OUR RELIGIOUS BELIEFS

C

The Salvation of man

We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace available to all and to all under the atoning death of Christ, free and inde-

pendent of good works (fruit of salvation and not the means). Salvation is granted to anyone who trusts in Jesus Christ. We

believe that all those who are born of the Spirit of God shall be divinely preserved and finally perfected in the image of Jesus

Christ. It is by grace we are saved. Eph 2:8. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. (Rom 3:23) The wages of sin

is death, but the gift of God that’s life eternal in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Water Baptism

The water baptism is by immersion, and is a direct commandment of our Lord (Matt. 28:19, and is reserved for believers only.

The ordinance is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ’s death, his burial and his resurrection. (Rom 6:4; Colos-

sians 2:12, Act 8:36-39)

Dation on the following formula of water baptism is adopted as a witness: “On the confession of your faith in the Lord Jesus

Christ, the son of God, and by his authority. A simple statement like this is perfect “I baptize you in the name of Father, son

and Holy Spirit, Amen”

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire (Matt 3:11) is a gift of God promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers of this dis-

pensation, and it is recovered after the new birth (John 14:16-17 ) The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is accompanied by the speak-

ing in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, as the first physical sign and obvious. Act. 2:4

Sanctification

The Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord (Heb. 12:14) We believe in the doctrine of sanctification as a

work defined, although gradual grace. It begins at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salva-

tion. Heb 13:12; 2 Thess. 2:13 … etc. We also firmly believe that Biblical marriage has to do with a man and a woman as initi-

ated by God the Father. We do not believe in same sex marriages. 2 Corint. 6 and Ephes. 6

The Last Supper

The order of the Lord’s Supper is a commandment of our Savior, and being a commemoration of his death and resurrection, it

is strictly limited to Christian believers 1 Cor 11:27. Time and the number of times it can be observed are left to the discretion

of each congregation (1 Corint 11:26)

Only the non-fermented grape juice, the fruit of the vine, as recommended by our Lord Matthew 26:29, Mark 14:22, Luke

22:18) Utilize must be observing this ordinance.

The Washing of the Feet

Foot washing is recognized among the believers as a Christian practice, and time, and how many times it can be observed

are at the discretion of each congregation and their leader. (John 13)

The Ministry

God the Holy Spirit, has called those he really wants to serve as evangelists, pastors, and doctors, and they recovered the one

who called them talents and special gifts for this position or the position (Ephesians 4:11,13)

The Universal Church

We believe that the set of all those regenerated by the Holy Spirit and committed to Jesus Christ, their Savior, Lord and Head

unique is the universal Church. It finds its visible expression in local churches and ministries whose objectives are to worship

God, to glorify and proclaim the Good News of salvation to all peoples.

Divine Healing

Healing is for physical illnesses of the human body and is operated by the power of God through the prayer of faith, and by

the laying on of hands (Mark 16:18, Jacques 5:14-15) and was made possible through the Atonement of Christ, and is available

to all who truly believe.

The Return

We believe in the personal and imminent return of Jesus Christ. We believe in the resurrection of all human beings, the saved

and saved for eternal life, the lost and lost to judgment and everlasting punishment.

LOCAL BYLAW OF OUR CHURCH

“ I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” Phil. 4:13

other mission needs. A pickup is needed and donation is welcome.
