1. Descriptive vocabulary

• City: active, bustling, noisy, clean, dirty…• Traffic : loud, congested, snarled …• Buildings : old, shabby, rundown,

crumbling, modern, futuristic, sleek, towering, squat ...

• Pavement : concrete, cement, slick, littered, swept, cracked…

1. Descriptive Vocabulary

• Signs : neon, weathered, worn, bright, welcoming, flashing…

• Buses, cars ( means of transport) : belching, crawling, speeding, honking, waiting …

• People : hurried, bundled, smiling, frowning, making faces, rushed …

2) Use of modifiers to enrich your description:
