Department of Pathology and Microbiology at the
University of Nebraska Medical Center provides a

consultation of skin diseases. Our team of board
certified dermatopathologists have extensive
experience in the diagnosis of neoplastic and
inflammatory skin diseases. Our service attracts
consultations from dermatologists across the
United States and internationally, including the

at University of Texas Medical School
and his Dermatopathology fellowship
at Stanford Hospital and surgical
pathology fellowship at Washington
University/Barnes Hospital-St. Louis.

Scott R. Lauer M.D.Dr. Lauer is board certified in
Dermatopathology and Anatomic
and Clinical Pathology. He attended
medical school at Saint Louis University
School of Medicine, and completed
his pathology residency training at
Emory University School of Medicine
in Atlanta, GA. Following residency,
Dr. Lauer received fellowship training
in soft tissue pathology under the
direction of Dr. Sharon Weiss followed
by a fellowship in dermatopathology,
both at Emory University. Dr. Lauer has
broad interests in dermatopathology,
including diagnosis of soft tissue
neoplasms involving the skin.
