Diffuse erythematous area, ill-defined margins,
(tender, warm) at the medial aspect of the right
thigh extending from below the inguinal to just
above the popliteal fossa.
A 2 year old child developed lesions on the face
over 1 week. The lesions consisted of pustules and
vesicles which ruptured to form crusts. According
to his mother, a few children who are in the same
child-care center are similarly affected.
Lesions scattered on chin, below and on lower lip,
golden crusts.

A 3 year old boy developed these papules on his
face. The lesions were not painful or pruritic.
Skin colored papules with central umbilication
This picture shows the lesions on the trunk and
upper limb of a 50 year old male. The lesions
developed over 3 days and are mildly pruritic.

A middle age man became generally unwell and developed rashes over 5 days. The rashes were
generalized. The palms and soles were also involved. Erosions were found on the lips and mucous
membranes. There were similar lesions on the genitalia. The patient was diagnosed to have gout and had
been taking medications regularly for 2 weeks.

This patient complained of sudden onset generalized pruritus followed by erythematous wheals and
swelling of the lips and around the eyes. The symptoms started about 2 hours after taking an Aspirin tablet
for her headache.
