What factors cause a player to develop groin injuries?

Lack of conditioning

Reduced hip mobility

Strength deficits

Hip mobilityHip mobility

If our hips are mobile then we can reduce the risk of groin injuries.

Lack of strength will affect our balance and ability to get in and out of the corners efficiently.

Be observant & aware of tightness/pain/recurring injuries

Advise the player to be assessed & screened

Incorporate good hip exercises into their warm-up
