Step 1 – Uninstall/Install New Drivers

First, unplug the USB cord from the back of the scanner **To continue, you may need assistance from your I.T. Specialist as PC Admin Rights will be necessary to uninstall the old drivers and to install the new drivers. The installation may take up to 20 minutes. **

Steps to Uninstall Your Current Scanner Drivers You must uninstall old drivers before installing the new ones. Follow the instructions below to uninstall your old drivers.

1. Select your Windows START button (usually at the bottom left of your desktop screen)

3. Select PROGRAMS

4. Then, select PROGRAMS AND FEATURES to display the list of programs currently installed on your system.

5. Depending on the type of scanner you run, you should see the following:

If you have Panini drivers, right click and UNINSTALL both of these:

If you have Teller Scan drivers, right click and UNINSTALL both of these:

Determine the Bit Count of your Computer You will need this information to know which drivers to install in the next step.

3. Select PROPERTIES

4. A new window will open that contains basic information about your operating system. Under System Type you

will see either 32-bit operating system listed or 64-bit operating system listed.

Instructions for Windows 10 Users 1. Go to START, enter About your PC, and then select About your PC. 2. Look under PC for Edition to find out which version and edition of Windows that your PC is running. 3. Look under PC for System type to see if you're running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows.

Install New Drivers Once you’ve determined your bit count, you’re ready to install the new drivers. The files are located on this page https://depositwizard.townebank.com/deployment/Merchantdrivers.htm

1. Select either the 32-bit or 64-bit drivers based on your operating system 2. Then, select the scanner you currently use from the list

3. Choose OPEN

4. Right click SETUP and then select OPEN from the menu

5. Select RUN

6. Select NEXT

8. A dialog box should appear to indicate the install has begun.

9. The above dialog box will disappear. Then, you will see an icon appear on your taskbar at the bottom of your screen. This icon will remain on your task bar to indicate the installation is still running. This installation may take between 5-20 minutes. NOTE: Teller Scan users will continue to see the dialog box above pictured in step 8. The dialog box will not disappear and be replaced with this icon.

10. Then, during the final steps of the installation, this dialog box will appear and begin to run. This portion of the installation may take several minutes.

11. When the install is complete, you will need to select FINISH, and close the dialog box.

12. An icon for your scanner should appear on your desktop.

13. Plug your scanner back in and move on to Step 2 – Verifying Your Browser Settings.

Step 2 – Verify Browser Settings Please verify your browser settings to avoid receiving an ACTIVE X error message when using Deposit Wizard. Additionally, you no longer need to view Deposit Wizard in COMPATIBILITY VIEW, instructions to remove the site from this setting are included here.

Update Active X Settings 1. In Internet Explorer, select TOOLS. This may be located in the upper right hand corner of your screen as an icon.

If you do not see the icon shown above, you can also navigate to Tools using your main menu.

2. Then, select INTERNET OPTIONS

3. Select the SECURITY tab and then select TRUSTED SITES

5. Add depositwizard.townebank.com to the TRUSTED SITES list. Select ADD and then CLOSE. If your settings already include depositwizard.townebank.com as a trusted site, you do not need to remove it and add it again. However, please proceed through the remaining steps to verify all of the correct settings are enabled.

7. In the dialog box, scroll down to the ACTIVE X section and Enable both DOWNLOAD SIGNED ACTIVE X CONTROLS and DOWNLOAD UNSIGNED ACTIVE X CONTROLS

8. Scroll down to the Miscellaneous section and Enable ACCESS DATA SOURCES ACROSS DOMAINS.

9. Scrolling further down and Enable DISPLAY MIXED CONTENT

10. Scroll down one more time to WEBSITES IN LESS PRIVILEGED WEB CONTENT ZONE CAN NAVIGATE INTO THIS ZONE and select ENABLE.

11. Select OK

Remove Deposit Wizard from Compatibility View This update eliminates the need to view Deposit Wizard in Compatibility View. Note: Deposit Wizard is a sub-domain of TowneBank.com; therefore, you will remove TowneBank.com from the list of sites to view in Compatibility View.

If you do not see the icon shown above, you can also navigate to Tools using Internet Explorer’s main menu.
