FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK
This is the second edition of ADVAYA from the Departments of MOP (E & H). It is well understood that today’s students are the future of tomorrow. They are the ones who shoulder all the future responsibilities pertaining to different areas, spheres or domains. It is rightly said that the quality of education can only determine the quality of a nation. Every student when given a constructive and harmonious environment has the potential to become a balanced individual. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel gave us the concept of United India and Departments of MOP (E & H) has been working on the same philosophy. In fact, it is only possible when every student in his/her own unique way contribute towards the holistic development of the society. We as teachers have the wholesome responsibility to channelize the capacity of the students towards building a strong nation. The courses of MOP (E & H) are dedicated to train the students in achieving proficiency and deep knowledge of Shorthand, E-Typing, Computers, Communication Skills, and Office Management & Correspondence etc. After the completion of the courses, the students become eligible to apply for jobs in govt. as well as public sectors.
Also, congratulations to faculty and students of MOP (E & H) for their
praiseworthy efforts in academic and extra-curricular activities.
DR. (MRS.) AMITA DEV

Industrial Training/Internship
Modern Office Practice (English) & Modern Office Practice (Hindi) are two diploma courses being run by this Institute as per approved curriculum of AICTE; and Board of Technical Education is
the examining body. The duration for both the courses is 3 years. The students are given practical as
well as theoretical knowledge, especially in communication skills, Computer Application,
Stenography and Management. Apart from completing prescribed syllabus, the students are required
to undergo 8-weeks of practical/Industrial Training in the public sector undertakings/private reputed
organizations. The students are also required to prepare dissertations/project reports. Shri Kaushal
Mehta I/c training and placement, works sincerely for training the students. After getting training and exposure in offices and work environment, the students get to see
and experience for themselves what a real workplace is like. This exposure brings in a certain
amount of maturity in most of the students. So, by the time the students complete their 8 weeks (2 months) Industrial Training and come back to the institute; most of them become quite professional
in their attitude. This transformation in the students from students to professionals is almost like the
transformation of a caterpillar to a butterfly. Industrial Training trains and polishes the students into
mature and efficient professionals.

Stress Management
Stress is the body's reaction to a change that requires a physical, mental or emotional adjustment or response. Stress can come from any situation or thought that makes you feel frustrated, angry, nervous, or anxious. Stress is caused by an existing stress-causing factor or "stressor.” Dealing with a serious illness or caring for someone who can cause a great deal of stress.
Stress management can be defined as interventions designed to reduce the impact of stressors in the workplace. These can have an individual focus, aimed at increasing an individual’s ability to cope with stressors. The goal of Stress Management is to help you to manage the stress of everyday life.
Acute Stress
Acute Stress is the most common form of stress. It comes from demands and pressures of the recent past and anticipated demands and pressures of the near future Acute stress is the. Acute stress is thrilling and exciting in small doses, but too much is exhausting. By the same token, overdoing on short-term stress can lead to psychological distress, tension headaches, upset stomach and other symptoms.
The most common symptoms are:
Emotional distress — some combination of anger or irritability, anxiety and depression, the three stress emotions.
Muscular problems including tension headache, back pain, jaw pain and the muscular tensions that lead to pulled muscles and tendon and ligament problems.
Stomach, gut and bowel problems such as heartburn, acid stomach, flatulence, diarrhea, constipation and irritable bowel syndrome.
Transient over arousal leads to elevation in blood pressure, rapid heartbeat, sweaty palms, heart palpitations, dizziness, migraine headaches, cold hands or feet, shortness of breath and chest pain.
Chronic Stress
While acute stress can be thrilling and exciting, chronic stress is not. This is the grinding
stress that wears people away day after day, year after year. Chronic stress destroys bodies,
minds and lives. It wreaks havoc through long-term attrition. It's the stress of poverty, of
dysfunctional families, of being trapped in an unhappy marriage or in a despised job or
career. It's the stress that the never-ending "troubles" have brought to the people of Northern
Ireland; the tensions of the Middle East have brought to the Arab and Jew, and the endless
ethnic rivalries that have been brought to the people of Eastern Europe and the former Soviet
Union.
How to remove stress
Walk for 10 to 30 minutes every day while smiling.
Sit quietly for at least 10 minutes every day, in isolation if necessary.
Upon arising in the morning, one must immediately say my goal today is….
Listen to quality music every day. This is real nourishment for the soul.
Live with the 3Es- energy, enthusiasm and empathy.
Play more games than last year.
Read more books than last year.
Look at the sky at least once a day, appreciating the majesty of the world that surrounds us.
Eat more foods that come from trees and plants. Eat less manufactured food.
Eat berries and nuts. Drink green tea, plenty of water and a glass of wine each day, toast something beautiful in life and if possible in the company of a loved one.
Try to make at least three people laugh every day.
Eliminate clutter in the home, the car and the office. Let a new energy enter our life.
We should not spend our precious time immersed in rumors, things from the past, negative thoughts or things beyond our control. It is better to invest our energy in the positive present.
Life is a school and we are here to learn. Problems are lessons that come and go what we learn from them will serve us for the rest of our lives.
We should eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
Etiquettes
Etiquette is the simple requirements needs for social behavior, and the manners you should use in any class or in any community on any event or festival. * Don't "borrow" from other people's desks or (dare I even say it) lunches without permission.
* Do clean up your messes, is it in the kitchen or at the copier, don't expect others to clean up after you.

Tips for a happy life!!! Every morning we are born again, what we do today is what matters most.
Life is all about making choices. Always do your best to make the right ones, and always
do your best to learn from the wrong ones.
Happiness comes when we stop complaining about the troubles we have and offer thanks
for all the troubles we don’t have.
The eyes are useless when the mind is blind.
Admitting your weakness doesn’t diminish yours strengths. It shows your courage.
Difficult doesn’t mean impossible. It simply means that you have to work hard.
Good things come to those who believe, better things come to those who are patient and
the best things come to those who don’t give up.
It’s our road and ours alone. Others may walk it with us but no one can walk it for us.
Allow yourself to rest. Your soul speaks to you in the quiet moments in between your
thoughts.
Be bold enough to use your voice, brave enough to listen to your heart and strong enough
to live the life you have imagined.
Life is too short. Complaints are a waste of perfect happiness. Laugh when you can,
apologize when you should and let go of what you cannot change.

Thank You Mom and Dad
When life had become a load on me, When problems for long, surrounded me, When solutions to them could not be seen, Dear Mom and Dad, you stood by me, When laughter seemed to have left my way, When I found it difficult to be happy and gay, When I had words but didn’t know what to say, Dear Mom and Dad, on me you bestowed you divine ray, When the whole world turned hostile and wild, When hope had become bleak and mild, When difficulties seemed to have piled, Dear Mom and Dad, you lifted me as a child, You had loved me and cared for me too, You gave me shelter of your abode that is blue, You made recipient kindness that is showered on few, So, Dear Mom and Dad, I wish to say- Thank you
