ABOUT THE COLLEGE:The Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce located amidst picturesque surroundings at Khandolaon radiating from NH4A (Panaji - Ponda), Banastarim-Marcela-St. Estevam Road. The college was established in the academic year 1989 - 90, initially with B.A. and B.Com. programmes. In the subsequent year (1990-91) the Science faculty was introduced. Recently, the college has introduced the post graduate programmes in Geography and Microbiology. PG in Chemistry and Commerce subjects was introduced from 2017 onwards. This consistent growth of the institution is a reflection of the tireless efforts of the teaching faculty and efficient supporting staff.The college has a well - designed building and the extension of building with all modern amenities and state of art auditorium is under way. All the three streams of the college (Arts, Science and Commerce)are permanentlyaffiliated to Goa University and recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) under 2(f) and 12(B). The college is currently accredited with " A " grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), The college is currently accredited with " A " grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Banglore, a U.G.C. body that grants accreditation to colleges and universities and NIRF rank band 101-150(2019 & 2020 ranking). Bachelors of Vocational in Software Technologies course is also started in this academic year catering to all streams of students.
