07. Target Students : III B.Pharm

08. No. of participants : 102 (Pharmacy Faculty & Students)

09. Objectives :

To extend the knowledge regarding drug discovery and development, this

would be creating an opportunity for students for learning apart from

academic syllabus.

To kindle students interest in drug design and discover and to create better

placement opportunities in industry/research institutes.

10. Event Outcome :

A total of ninety two pharmacy students and 10 faculty were benefitted

from the addon course.




A pre-test was conducted at the beginning of the add-on course and a post-test

was conducted at the end of the course.

The results showed that there was a significant improvement in the scores

compared to the pre-test indicating huge success of the course.

The participants were able to understand the significance of tools used in drug

design and discovery.

The participants learnt the basics of drug design and process of drug discovery.

The participants gained basic knowledge about the drug designing softwares such

as Swiss Dock, Patch Dock, Auto Dock etc.
