Industrial Training/Internship

Apart from completing the prescribed syllabus, the students are required to

undergo 8-weeks of practical/Industrial Training in the public sector

undertakings/private reputed organizations. The students are also required to

prepare dissertations/project reports. Shri Kaushal Mehta, In-Charge training and

placement, works sincerely for training the students.

To develop analytical and professional skills, training and exposure in offices

and work environment is essential for the students to experience real work

culture. This exposure brings in a certain amount of professionalism in the

students. So, by the time the students complete their 8 weeks (2 months)

Industrial Training and come back to the institute; most of them become quite

experienced. This transformation in the students from students to professionals is

almost like the transformation of a caterpillar to a butterfly. Industrial Training

IMPORTANCE OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION FOR WOMEN

Education is vital for every individual. Technical Education is considered to be a catalyst for industrial development and economic growth of a country. Technical education comes under the branch of vocational studies involving applied science and modern technology. India is a country of diversity and cultural plurality with various inequalities in system and society. Position of women in our society is unequal due to economic conditions. Women should be educated enough to meet the challenges of life. “There is no chance for welfare of the world unless the condition of women is improved. It is not possible for a bird to fly on only one wing”.

- Swami Vivekananda It is the need of the hour that women should be economically empowered

which would improve their lives, broaden the outlook and vision with the freedom of thought and expression to liberate themselves from the shackles of age old tradition of women oppression.

“Building capacity dissolves differences. It irons out inequalities”.

- Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

To improve the status and prestige of women it is necessary to shift the emphasis from general courses to job oriented technical education which has a huge scope from defense to medical sector, public to private multinational companies. A woman is able to choose a career of her choice and set up her own establishment to make her self reliant. It is like a lighthouse showing the way in the turbulent sea of gender discrimination, suppression & economical dependence. Women with higher and better level of skill adjust more effectively to the challenges and opportunities of the world of work.
