Report of NSSM-2015

Department of Chemistry of Kings College of Engineering organised second National Seminar on

“Recent Trends in Smart Materials (NSSM2015)” on 20th

February 2015. Dr.M.Dharmendira Kumar,

Associate Professor, Department of Applied Sciences, A.C Tech, Anna University, Chennai-25 inaugurated

the seminar and delivered the inaugural address. Dr.S.Durairaj, Principal presides over the function,

delivered the presidential address and honoured the guests. The convener of the seminar

Dr.V.Suresh Kumar, HoD / Chemistry welcomes the gathering. Dr.S.Udayakumar, Dr.AL.Kavitha and

Mrs.S.K.Kalaivani were introduced the guests Dr.M.Dharmendira Kumar, Dr. J. Mathiyarasu and

Dr.M.Veerabhadra Swamy.

The seminar proceedings was released by Dr.M.Veerabhadra Swamy, and received by Principal.

invited lecture on “Smart Materials and its

applications”

Dr. J. Mathiyarasu, Principal Scientist,

CECRI, Karaikudi has delivered invited

lecture on “Nano Technology for energy

and Environmental Applications”

Various research papers were presented by participant in Technical session I and II,

Dr. J. Mathiyarasu was act as chair person for technical session I and Dr.M.Veerabhadra

Swamy was act as a chair person for technical session II. Two best papers were selected and

awarded.

Prof.S.Sivakumar, Vice Principal presides over the valedictory function and co-convener

of the seminar Dr.P.Saravanan welcomes the gathering. Dr. J. Mathiyarasu, Principal Scientist,

CECRI, Karaikudi has delivered the valedictory address and issued the certificates to the

participants. Finally Dr.AL.Kavitha has delivered the vote of thanks.
