The Department of History aims to be the home of the country’s leading historians who are competent, truthful, productive in research, committed to
a noble cause and service-oriented.
Its faculty members profess to be dedicated teachers, helpful to students and willing to use historical knowledge to effect social transformation. They will
also promote the pursuit of knowledge using historical materials as sources of new knowledge and insights.

GRADUATE PROGRAMS• Master of Arts in History (Thesis Option)
• Master in History (Non-Thesis Option)
Both programs are compliant with the governing rules of CHED
Memorandum Order 22, Series of 2011 for the Master of Arts in
History and Master in History programs.
M.A. in History may be completed in six terms (two years) while the
Master in History Program only needs three regular terms and two
summers.
