Meet Ilena When Ilena first started with Denver 360º, she wasn’t sure where she should look for work. Her employment coordinator, Mike, suggested she try a job with Argus, which provides home healthcare services. Mike helped her develop a plan of action, including working on her resume-writing skills and practicing what to do in a job interview in our training center.

After a few short months, Ilena was able to get a job and no longer needed TANF assistance. Now Ilena has been working at Argus for more than a year as a case coordinator, where she manages client and provider schedules, helps with new client intake and other responsibilities. “I love working here,” she expressed. “Without the 360° program, I probably wouldn’t have gotten this opportunity.”

“I see the big picture when I’m working here,” said Yolanda, who completed the 360º program and now works for COMPA Ministries’ surplus food program. “Now that I’m here, I know I’d like to work in operations. I understand every step needed to collect and redistribute food,” she stated. Greg Morton, of COMPA, said Yolanda has a natural gift for managing perishables.

Kim, a Denver 360º employment coordinator, supports clients like Yolanda at specific job sites. She noted that the program is making placements even in a bad economy. “It’s wonderful to see people flourish as they build the confidence needed to enter the workforce again,” Kim expressed. “The tools they gain and the self-sufficiency they learn through our program encourage success.”
