Module Name: Introduction Animation Slide Name: Screen No: 08On-Screen Text Graphics DescriptionCDD: AML Customer Risk Rating (CRR)
The AML Customer Risk Rating (CRR) evaluates attributes of the customer, the account and jurisdictional location of the contract.
This determines a rating that is commensurate with the money laundering and terrorist financing risk of the customer.
Customers are categorized by three levels of AML risk: Low-risk Customer Medium-risk Customer
Use a funnel concept on this scene to show different attributes of customer like the customer types, account types, and locations, etc. getting filtered. Use Red, Yellow, and Green color in the funnel to indicate high, medium and low risk customers.
Change the order of the funnel showing low risk on the top and high risk at the bottom.
Use icons for customers, accounts, locations, money laundering and terrorist financing with labels. Show these attributes getting filtered where few items will pass through the filter and turn green and orange representing Low and Medium-risk Customers while some will not pass and remain in the filter. They will turn red and represent High-risk Customers.
Then show all the green, orange and red customers coming on the screen with the following text:Customers are categorized by three levels of AML risk:

Module Name: Introduction AnimationSlide Name: Screen No: 09On-Screen Text Graphics DescriptionEnhanced Due Diligence (EDD)
EDD is required for High-risk customers based on the AML CRR and certain High-risk customer types notwithstanding the AML CRR.
EDD requires the gathering of additional customer information and documents.
It also requires additional analysis to identify the risks and mitigating controls needed to onboard the customer and account.
KYC Shared Services approaches the Business Unit to gather additional information and documents.
KYC Shared Services notifies AML Compliance of the High-risk customer. AML Compliance may identify additional, unique mitigants to onboard the customer and account.
The Business Unit determines if it is willing to accept the risk associated with the customer and ensures the mitigants are in place.
Account can be opened
For the first para of text: Show a customer in red that represents a High-risk Customer and documents getting scanned that represents EDD.
For the second para of text: Show more information coming from the customer and more scrutiny happening by BU and KYC SS.
Then show KYC SS asking for more information from BU and then communicating with AML Compliance about the High-risk customer. Next, show AML Compliance identifying a Low-risk customer who is clean and can be onboarded. For the last piece of text, show BU on screen with the text.
Center the green check mark above the customer icon’s head
In the end of the animation, the entire KYC process will appear as a snapshot.
For the last screen, the title should be:
“KYC Onboarding Process”
Replace | from between CIP, CDD, EDD and replace with comma and also change
the order as given here:
CIP, CDD, and EDD
Add a “monitoring and surveillance” icon once account is open to show that
Compliance is still in the loop.

Add "Determine unique mitigants" to the EDD section (on the last scene
which shows the complete process).
Add a funnel in the risk rating section (on the last scene which shows the
complete process).
Replace the piggy bank image with something else
Edits for the sequencing of the last screen in Intro animation:
1. Introduce the customer, the BU and CIP, then the requests for information
and provides information arrows. Make separate to indicate
communication going back and forth if possible.
2. Then introduce KYC Shared Services, and add movement in magnifying
class.
3. Have all of CDD come up, then show communication between BU and KYC
SS through arrow.
4. Include a moving magnifying glass in risk rating
5. Show account opening for low and medium with the arrow from BU to
“account open”. Add “low and medium” underneath arrow to indicate
account opening for this type of customer.
6. For the EDD line, show the BU, high risk review (including EDD language
