Juliet Eilperin illuminates the ways by which the mythological signi�cance attributed to sharks has made them objects of reverence, fear, and fascination, and of misperceptions that may eventually lead to their extinction. Eilperin will discuss how “Demon Fish” provides a global look at the often surprising and inexplicable ways people and cultures relate to, and engage with, the ocean’s top predator.

A book signing will follow the lecture. "Demon Fish" will be available for purchase by cash or check. TicketsThis lecture is FREE, but a reservation is required for admission. Tickets include access to traveling exhibition, Planet Shark: Predator or Prey before the lecture.
