The Demco series DM gate valve is

offered in two basic pressure classes:

The ANSI series valves conform

to the standard flange dimension and

pressure requirements for ANSI classes

400, 600, 900 and 1500. Except for the

4" class 1500, these valves are designed

with economical, double acting threaded

stem & gate. The 4" 1500 use the sam

rising stem design used in the 4" 300

API series valve.

The API series valves conform to

standard flange and pressure require-

ments for API classes 2000, 3000 and

5000. Except for the 4" and larger AP

5000, these valves are designed with

heavy duty, double acting rising stem

In-line field repairability

The bonnet is easily removed for internal

parts inspection and/or replacement with-

out removing the valve from the line.

This design simplicity permits fast and

easy service without the need for specialtools.

Flexible trim offerings

Optional materials for stems, gates, seat

inserts and seat elastomers make it easier

to trim valves for a wide range of service

conditions. Three internal plastic coatings

for the body and bonnet are offered to

improve resistance to wear and corrosion.

Double acting thread design for

fast operation

The ANSI series double acting

thread design uses a threaded stem into

the gate working with threads in the bon-

net and handle assembly. Stems are pol-

ished and include a dependable o-ring

and anti-extrusion seal. This unique

design is economical and effective.

(note: 41500 valve is a double acting,

rising stem design, similar to the 43000

valve.

The API series double acting threads

work together in a specially designedstem screw, screw housing and stem

arrangement (except 4" and larger 5000 is

a single thread, heavy duty rising stem

design with bearings).

The rising stem design protects the

stem threads from the lading. Further

thread protection is provided by a spe

stem seal assembly.

The 4" and larger 5000 psi DM g

valve includes a sight lens to view the

stem for determining gate position.

working pressure demands of

deep well drilling is the Demco

DM 7500 gate valve. The DM

7500 comes to this market with

proven technology from the

industry leader.

When the market demanded a 7,500 psi

drilling mud valve, the Demco DM 7500

gate valve was introduced to meet the

challenge. This is fitting since Demco

DM API gate valves (2,000 to 5,000 psi)

continue to be the premium drilling mud

valves of choice, as they have been for

more than 30 years.

The Demco DM 7500 is available

in sizes 2" to 6" with butt weld end or

flanged end connections.

pressure requirements of deep well

drilling, the Demco DM 7500 gate

Heavy duty roller bearings

Large, heavy duty stem roller bearings

reduces torque.

Unique, abrasion-resistant, one

piece seat design.

The seat assembly consists of two stain-

less steel insert/support rings to which a

resilient elastomer is permanently bonded.

The elastomer provides tight shut off

after long use in abrasive service. The

stainless steel rings are corrosion and ero-

sion resistant. The rings are specially

designed to ensure maximum bonding

strength for the elastomer. The one piece

design makes field replacement easier.

Locking seat alignment

The seat assembly is engineered with a

metal lock shellthat anchors the seat in

the bottom of the valve. This design

ensures accurate seat alignment with min-

imum resistance to flow.

Body wear rings

Surface hardened alloy body wear rings

back up both sides of the seat. These

rings extend the service life of the valve

by absorbing erosive wear that can dam-

age the body around the seat bore area.

Rising stem design

The Demco DM 7500 uses a rising stem

design which isolates and protects the

threads from the line medium. The rising

stem also indicates gate position.

Visual position indicator lens

A clear position indicator lens allows theoperator to easily determine whether the

valve is open or closed. The indicator

lens also helps to protect the stem threads

from the weather.

Replaceable stem packing

The stem packing can be replaced with-

out removing the bonnet from the valve

(3" - 6") saving time when this mainte-

nance may be required (note: line and

valve pressure must be relieved before

performing this maintenance).

Flow-cleansed design

The body cavity area is designed to

allow continuous flushingby the

fluid flow. This action prevents the valve

from sanding up, even in standpipe

installations.

Internal parts are 316SS.The exclusive seat design of the

DEMCO DB gate valve is the same

proven design found in the DEMCO

DM series gate valves. The seat consi

of two identical metal wear rings enc

sulated in elastomer to form a cylindr

shape with a gate slot and two round

ports. The closed gate bears on the

downstream wear ring while the elas-

tomer provides a drop-tight, pressure

responsive seal around the port. This

design provides an effective seal even

the gate and seat ring become scored

abraded during service.

The Demco Series DB is also fiel

repairable while the valve is in line.

Dimensional Information

1.All references to pipe size in this catalog is the nominal size.

The actual OD and ID for various nominal sizes and schedules

is tabulated below. Weld End bodies are machined at each end

to match the pipe OD and ID.

2. Regular port valve size descriptions are designated by two

numbers. The first number is the nominal size of the end con-

nection. The second number is the ID of the valve seat (dimen-

sion Cin the tables).

Special Order Accessories

Square Operating Nuts are offered to replace handles, for

wrench operation. Nuts are sized for 2-inch square sockets.

Locking devices for tamper-proof valve settings of standard

handles are also available.

Special Stem Extensions are available on all gate valves,

for buried service. Extended stems are housed from the valve

bonnet to the handle; operation of the valve is identical to nor-

mal assembly.Actuators for automated or remote-controlled applications

may be furnished on special order. Prices for pneumatic or

hydraulic actuators can be given on request.

Testing

Demco Gate Valves are hydrostatically tested at assembly.

Stem seal, body and seat are inspected for zero leakage under

pressure, before acceptance.

Seat Elastomers

Buna N (nitrile) is the basic seat elastomer. It is excellent for

petroleum oil and gases, fuel oils and alcohols from 10F to

+200F. Hypalon is optionally offered compounded for maxi-

mum chemical resistance. Particularly suited for oxidizing

acids, it resists hydrocarbon oils and fuels from 10 F to

+250F. Viton is highly resistant to mineral acids and hydrocar-

bons and resists moderate concentrations of hydrogen sulfide.

Serviceable from 10 F to +400F. (Not suitable for steam).

Plastic Coatings

Internally plastic-coated body and bonnet are offered with th

coatings. Demco 10 is a catalyst-cured epoxy with excellent

adhesion and resistance to wear, chipping and abrasion, is u

fected by most acids, alkalis, brines and petroleum products

to 150F. Demco 11 is a baked-on phenolic serviceable to 2

F and resistant to organic and mineral acids, hydrocarbons a

corrodents encountered in oil and gas production (not recom

mended for caustics). Demco 12 is a baked-on phenolic-epo

tougher and more abrasion resistant, for excellent service in

caustics and salt water up to 200F. All coatings are applied

to 6 mil thickness.

For applications in high pressure gas above 3000 psi

involving concentrations of H2S or CO2 consult factory f

recommendations.

Pressure Ratings

Demco Gate Valves are designed for the maximum working

pressures and test pressures tabulated below:

Gate valve rating must be selected to match the piping syste

in which the valve will be installed. Tabulated below are wo

ing pressures at 100F for ASTM A-106 Grade B pipe in siz

corresponding to Demco gate valves.

Ordering Information

Give size, pressure class and end connection. Specify pressu

class of flanged ends and raised face or RTJ. For threaded e

give line pipe, TBG (non upset tubing) or UPTBG (external

upset tubing). For weld or grooved ends, give schedule of

mating pipe.

1. C ONTRACT ACC EPTANCE:

Any written o r oral purchase order received

from Buyer by Cooper Cameron Corporation,

Cameron Division and Cooper Cameron Valves

( Seller ) shall be construed as a written

acceptance of Sellers offer to sell and shall

be fi l led in a ccordance w ith the t erms and

conditions o f sale set fort h h erein. SELLERS

ACCEP TANCE OF THIS ORDER IS EXPRESSLY

CONDITIONED O N BUYERS ASSENT TO THE

TERMS CONTAINED HEREIN. The t erm s a nd

conditions o f Sellers proposal (if any) and

acknowledgement shall prevail over any

conflicting or different terms in Buyer s order

unless Buyer not ifies Seller in w riting of its

objections thereto within fifteen (15) days

from receipt of Sellers acknowledgement.

Buyers stand ard t erms of purchase w ill not

be considered a counteroffer to Sellers terms

an d cond itions of sale. The fa ilure of Seller to

object to any provision in conflict herewith

whether contained on Buyers purchase order

or otherw ise shall not be construed a s a

wa iver of t he provisions hereof nor as a n

acceptance thereof.

2. QUOTATIONS AND PRICES:

All quot ations are mad e for prompt acceptance

and any terms quoted t herein are subject to

change without notice after t hirty (30) days

from the date quoted unless specifically stated

otherw ise on the q uota tion. Any product,

service capability or manufacturing capability

which may be available at the t ime a quota tion

is mad e is subject to prior sale. Prices quot ed

are valid for thirty (30) days unless specifically

sta ted o therwise on the quota t ion and are

subject to chang e w ithout not ice. The price in

effect at the time of shipment including an y

escalation f ormula w ill apply, unless a valid

quota tion or written ag reement to the contrary

exists be tw een Buyer an d Seller. All pricesshow n a re in U.S. dollars and are F.O.B. Seller s

shipping po int. Any documentat ion pertaining

to traceabil ity requirements for raw materials

or products or documentation required for any

routine o r special processes must be identified

by the Buyer at the time of q uota tion (if any)

or at t he time of order placement.

3. TAXES:

Any tax or ot her charge imposed by law on

the sale or production of g oods or the per-

formance of services shall be paid by the

Buyer, unless the law specifically provides th at

such payment must be made by Seller, in

w hich case Buyer shall reimburse Seller for

such pa yment a s part of the purchase price.Custom dut ies, consular fe es, insurance

charges and other comparab le charges will be

borne by Buyer.

4. SHIPPING SCHEDULE AND

DELIVERY:

Shipment schedules are given as accurately

as conditions permit and every effort will be

made to make shipments as scheduled. Seller

will not be responsible for deviations in meet-

ing shipping schedules nor for any losses or

dama ges to Buyer (or any t hird pa rty) occa-

sioned by deviations in the shipping schedule,

wh ether due to Acts of God, orders bearing

priority ratings established pursuant to law,

differences with wo rkmen, local labor short-

ag es, fire, flood, shortages or f ai lure of ra w

materials, supplies, fuel, power or transporta-

t ion, breakdown of eq uipment or any other

causes beyond Sellers reasonable cont rol ,

whether of similar or dissimilar nature than

those enumerated . Seller shall have a dditional

time within which to perform as may be rea-

sonably necessary under the circumstances andshall have th e right to apportion i ts produc-

tion amo ng its customers in such a ma nner as

it may consider to be equitable. Seller reserves

the right to furnish commercially equivalent or

better substi tutes for ma terials or to subcon-

tract the Buyers order or portions thereof a s

Seller deems necessary. In no event shall Seller

be l iable for any consequential dama ges for

labor resulting from failure or delay in ship-

ment. If Buyer requires drawings, procedures,

standards or similar material for approval,

shipping schedu les w ill be calculat ed f rom

the time such appro vals are received b y Seller,

since shipping schedules are ba sed on Seller

having all required information an d a firm

order from Buyer which is enterable into pro-duction. Any hold points, witness points or the

need for inspection by Buyer s representatives

must be identified by Buyer at t he time of

qu ota tion (if any) an d/or order placement in

order tha t th e effect o n th e prices or shipping

schedules (if any) can be taken into account.

Additional inspection or testing required by

Buyer which aff ects normal production

sequen ce will be considered as extending

the shipping dates accordingly.

5. MINIMUM BILLING:

Seller reserves the right to impose a m inimum

billing charge on all sales, change orders or

order supplements.

6. TERMS OF PAYMENT:Terms of p aymen t f or a ll materials and service

are 30 days from invoice date, at net price,

provided satisfactory credit has b een estab -

lished. All unpa id invoices are subject to the

maximum legal interest rate per annum

commencing with the due date.

7. CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS:

Purchase orders once placed by Buyer and

accepted by Seller can be canceled only with

Sellers written consent and upo n terms which

w ill save Seller from loss. No prod ucts may

be returned fo r credit or ad justment w ithout

w ritten pe rmission from Sellers office aut hor-

ized to issue such permission.

8. WARRANTIES:

All products of Sellers manufacture are war-

ranted against defects of material and work-

manship for a period of tw elve (12) months

from the dat e of installation or eighteen (18)

months from da te of shipment, w hichever

period f irst expires, when such prod ucts are

used in the service and w ithin the pressure

range for which they were manufactured. In

the case of products or parts not w holly of

Sellers manufacture, Sellers liability shall be

limited to the extent of i ts recovery from th e

manufa cturer of such products or parts under

its liability to Seller.

Any repair work perfo rmed b y Seller is w

ranted for one yea r from completion o f suc

repairs and applies only to w ork performed

If, w ithin th ese specified p eriods, Seller

receives notice from Buyer of any alleged

defect in or nonconformance of a ny produ

or repair and if in the Sellers sole judgmen

the product or repair does not confo rm or

is found to b e defective in mat erial or wo rkmanship, then, Buyer shall, at Seller s reque

return t he pa rt or prod uct F.O.B. to Sellers

designated plant or service location. Seller,

at its option and expense, shall repair or

replace the defective pa rt or product, o r

repay to Buyer the full price paid by Buyer

for such defective part, repair or product.

Any repayment of purchase price shall be

without interest.

Sellers wa rranty liability, including d efec

caused b y Sellers negligence, sha ll be limite

to such repair, replacement or refund, and

shall not include claims for lab or costs, exp

es of Buyer resulting from such defects, rec

ery under general tort law or strict liability

for damages resulting from delays, loss of uor other direct, indirect, incidental or conse

quent ial damag es of a ny kind. Seller wil l no

be responsible for fa ilures of prod ucts whic

have been in any w ay tampered wi th or

altered by anyone other than an authorized

representative of Seller, failures due to lack

compliance with recommended maintenanc

procedures or products w hich have been

repaired or a ltered in such a wa y (in Seller

judgmen t) as to affect the products adverse

OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR

9. NUCLEAR SALES:

The prod ucts sold hereun der are no t design

or manufa ctured for use in or with any at o

installation or activity. If the Buyer or ultim

user of these products intends to use them

such a n insta llat ion o r activity, Sellers Nucl

Terms of Sale shall be pa rt of and contro l th

contra ct. Seller will furnish Buyer with a co

of its Nuclear Terms of Sale upon reque st.

10. PATENT INFRINGEMENT:

Seller wa rrants that t he use or sale of ma te

or appa ratus sold or rented b y i t to Buyer

hereunder will not infringe United States

patent s of others covering such material or

appara tus by i tself, and hereby a grees to

indemnify Buyer aga inst judgment f or dam

ag es for such infringement of any such pat

provided that Buyer shall , upon receipt of a

claim for infringement of a ny such pat ent o

threat of suit fo r such infringement or upon

the f i ling of any suit for infringement ,

w hichever comes first, pro mptly no tify Selle

in writing an d a fford Seller full opportunity

its option a nd i ts ow n expense, to an swer s

claim or threat of suit , assume the control o

the d efense of said suit , and settle or comp

16. TRANSPORTATION CHARGES,

ALLOWANCES, CLAIMS:

All prices are F.O.B . Seller s plant or other

designa ted shipping point.

No freight is allowed unless stated in

Sellers quota tion (if an y) or in a w ritten

contract w hich ma y exist betw een Seller and

Buyer at the time of shipment. If Seller s quo-tat ion or a w ritten contract states that al l or a

portion of freight is allowed, all prices are

F.O.B. Sellers plant or other d esigna ted ship-

ping point, w ith most economical surface

transportation allowed. If the quoted or con-

tractual price includes transportation, Seller

reserves the right to d esigna te th e common

carrier and to ship in the manner i t deems

most economical. Added costs due to special

routing requested by th e Buyer are chargea ble

to the Buyer. Under no circumstances is any

freight a l low ance w hich is absorbed b y Seller

to be ded ucted from t he selling price. If the

quot ed price or contract includes transporta-

tion, no d eduction will be mad e in l ieu thereof

wh ether Buyer accepts shipment at plant,wa rehouse, freight station, or otherw ise

supplies its own transportation. When sales

are mad e from the Sellers wa rehouse, Seller

reserves the right to charge either actual or

pro-rated freight from Sellers principle point

of ma nufacture to Sellers wa rehouse. Buyer

assumes risk of loss upon d elivery to the carri-

er, rega rdless of w ho pa ys shipping costs.

Seller endeavors to pack or prepare all

shipments so that they w ill not b reak, rust o r

deteriorate in transit , but does not guarantee

ag ainst such d ama ge. Unless requested in

w riting by the Buyer, no shipments are insured

by Seller against damage or loss in transit.

Seller w ill place insura nce as nea rly as po ssible

in accordance with Buyers w ritten instructionsbut in such case Seller acts only as agent

between the insurance company and the

Buyer and a ssumes no liability w ha tsoever.

Any claims for shipping loss, breakage or

dama ge (obvious or concealed) are Buyers

responsibili ty and should b e mad e to the

carrier. All claims rega rding sho rtag es must be

made within thirty (30) days from receipt of

shipment an d must be accompanied by the

packing list(s) covering the shipment.

17. CONSULAR INVOICES:

Consular fees for legalizing invoices, stamping

bills of lading, or o ther do cuments required

by the law s of any country or destination are

not included in quotations or selling prices. If

instructed in writing, Seller will make a rrang e-

ments for consular documents and declarations

as agent of the Buyer, but Seller assumes no

liability whatsoever as a result of making such

arran gem ents. Seller assumes no responsibility

for an y fines or other charges imposed due to

errors or incorrect d eclaration s.

18. INDEMNIFICATION AND

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:

A. INDEMNIFICATION:

Seller agrees to indemnify Buyer and hold

Buyer harmless against any claims, demands

or causes of action for property damag e or

personal injury (including death) caused by

the neg ligent act or o mission o f a ny emplo

ee, agent or subcontractor of Seller and no

contributed to by the negligence of Buyer,

its employees, its agents or any third party.

Seller shall not be responsible for the acts a

workmanship of employees, agents, contrac

or subcontractors of Buyer or any third par

nor for fa i lure or malfunction of any to ols,materials, equipment, products, supplies,

facilities or devices not manufactured and

supplied by Seller. Buyer a grees to hold Sell

ha rmless from a ny a nd all losses, claims, or

dama ges arising from subsurface da mag e,

surface dama ge caused by subsurface dama

loss of h ydrocarbons and from pollution,

regardless of whether such damages, losses

claims were caused by the negligence or sol

negligence of Seller, i t being t he intent o f t

parties that this indemnity shall apply to pr

erty of Buyer or to tha t of any third party.

B. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:

UNDER NO CIRCUM STANCES SHALL SELLER

LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL

INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, BUT NLIMITED TO LOSS OF ANTICIPATED PROFITS

LOSS OF USE OF EQUIPMENTOR OF ANY

INSTALLATION, SYSTEM OR FACILITY INTO

WHICH SELLERS EQUIPMENTMAY BE LOCA

ED O R ATWHICH SELLER, ITS AGENT OR SU

CONTRACTOR MAY BE PERFORMING WORK

Sellers tot al responsibility for a ny claims,

damages, losses or liabilities arising out of o

related to i ts performance of this contract o

the products or services covered hereunder

shall not exceed the purchase price.

19. MODIFICATION, RESC ISSION

& WAIVER:

The terms herein may not b e mod ified or

rescinded n or an y of its provisions wa ivedunless such mo dification, rescission or w aiv

is in writing a nd signed by a n aut horized

employee of Seller at its office in Houston,

Texa s.

use or for other direct, indirect, incidental or

consequent ial damag es incurred by reason o f

any such judgment . Seller does not w arrant

that such ma terial or apparatus (a) will not

infringe any such patent when not manufac-

tured by or for Seller or when specially made

in whole or in part to the Buyers design speci-

fication and such infringement arises from

the inclusion of such specified design o r (b),

i f used or sold in combination w ith other

material or appa ratus, or i f used in th e

practice of a p rocess, will not, as a result of

such combination o r use, infringe any pa tent

covering such combination or process; and

Seller shall not be liable for and does not

indemnify Buyer for da mages or losses of a ny

nature w hatsoever resulting f rom actual or

alleged patent infringement arising pursuant

to (a) or (b) above.

11. SELLERS RIGHT TO

MANUFACTURE:

Seller in its sole discretion shall ha ve the right

to ma nufacture the prod ucts provided h ereun-der as f ar in a dvance of i ts estimated shipping

schedule as it deems appropriate. Seller

expressly reserves the right to change or modi-

fy the d esign a nd construction of any product

in due co urse of Sellers manufa cturing proce-

dure w ithout incurring a ny ob liga tion or l iabil-

ity to furnish or install such changes, modifica-

tions or improvements to products previously

or subsequently sold.

12. ENGINEERING AND SERVICE:

Upon req uest, Seller will provide en gineering

an d/or technical info rmat ion rega rding its

products and their uses and, if feasible, will

provide personnel to assist Buyer in effecting

field insta llation s and /or field service. Any suchinformation, service or assistance so provided,

whether with or without charge, shall be

advisory only. In that regard, neither Seller

nor Buyer assumes any liability for the acts or

omissions of the o ther party except as may b e

provided in these terms.

13. LABOR STANDARDS:

Seller hereby certifies that these prod ucts were

produced in accorda nce with a ll applicable

requirements of Section 6, 7 and 12 of the

Fair Labo r Standards Act a s amended and of

regulations and orders of th e United Stat es

Department of Labor issued under Section 14

thereof.

14. INSPECTION:Unless otherw ise a greed in w riting, final

inspection and acceptance of products must

be ma de a t Sellers plant or other shipping o r

receiving point designated by Seller and shall

be conclusive except as regards latent defects.

Buyers representatives may inspect at the

Sellers plan t or shipping po int during w orking

hours prior to shipment in such ma nner a s will

not interfere with operat ions.

15. TITLE:
