Presidents Message
Autumn moved right on into winter ushering in
holiday celebrations family gatherings and
evenings by the fire Unexpected snow if not

to be captured by our smart phones Almost back
to normal now we look forward to what is in
store for 2017 Our February chapter meeting is
just around the corner followed soon by the

to the husbands of two of our chapter members
We mourn the loss of Linda Smithrsquos husband

I am energized by the way Delta Rho Sisters lift

Something to think abouthellip Happy New Year Itrsquos time to put the old year
behind us and celebrate a new year of
possibilities Itrsquos time to make new
resolutionshellipor maybe not My list of 2017
resolutions looks just like 2016 eat healthier
exercise more get organized and learn to use
my iphone I truly wanted to do all of those
things so what happened I had the best of
intentions put lots of thought into it read and
researched made To Do lists but didnrsquot check
off even one of those 2016 resolutions What
kept me from realizing my goals I think I found
the answer while reading a recent reflection by
Mary Anne Perrone entitled 2017 New Yearrsquos
Revolution For All No Longer Waiting
Now I have only one resolution for 2017 ndash lose
ldquowaitrdquo
Irsquom not going to wait until I have time Irsquom
going to make time now
wait for someone to ask me to get involved Irsquom going to volunteer
wait until I know it all Irsquom
going to learn on the job
wait for every ldquoirdquo to be
dotted and every ldquotrdquo crossed Irsquom going to take a risk
wait for acknowledgement
Irsquom going to celebrate my strengths
wait and be paralyzed by
indecision Irsquom going to take action
If we wait for the time to be right the outcome
to be ensured the path to be clear and the
response to be guaranteed we miss the
adventure of the journey Will there be mistakes
along the way Sure but those missteps provide
opportunities to learn and grow Irsquom excited
about my resolution for 2017
Will you lose ldquowaitrdquo with me this year
