A Letter from the President

Dear Delta Gamma Cleveland East Sisters, The holiday season is traditionally a time where we are reflecting on our many blessings. In today’s life, too often we are hustling and moving at such a rapid pace, always thinking about what there is to do “next on the list. ” I often tell myself, “slow down and sa-vor today’s moments because they only come this way but once.” I want to take this moment to share one of the most treasured blessings in my life: my love for Delta Gamma and the many joys that sisterhood has brought me at different times in my life. I think back to my years at Miami University, where Delta Gamma friend-ships were created that I continue to treasure and hold close to-day. These women taught me the value of sisterhood before “official” sisterhood came into my life. In 2009, the Delta Gamma Cleveland East alumnae group welcomed me as an official sister and I have never felt luckier. Where else would such an amazing group of women exist than in our alumnae group? Join your Delta Gamma sisters for an exciting year of programs featuring all things Cleveland. Our “DG in CLE” theme will highlight Cleveland culture, arts, and histo-ry. From winter to spring, immerse yourself in our city’s greatest happenings, ex-plore places you’ve never been too, and meet locals who will share the great things they do in Cleveland. “We’ve got world-class experiences without the world-class ego.” We will rotate our meetings between Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Meet-ings will begin at 6:00 p.m. with social time, and dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. Due to the nature of some of these events, we ask sisters to please bring $10 with them for dinner cost, or with exception of our December event where dinner will be available for purchase at the Cleveland Art Museum prior to our tour.. Please cancel by the Sunday prior if you are unable to attend, otherwise you are responsible for your $10 dinner fee. Contact Charlene Ferko (216-408-6725, [email protected]) for any cancellations. Detailed Evites will divulge all of our activities and will be sent out via email 7-10 days prior to the event, so mark your calendars and get ready for an urban adven-ture with your sisters! Please note there is no meeting held in March as we will enjoy our fraternity’s Founder’s Day! For questions regarding Programming, please contact Chamois Williams at [email protected], 440-669-0279.
