• Technical foundation of ASC 740 using a case-study approach
• For those who have limited experience or who need a refresher on preparing an income tax provision, including the financial reporting requirements
Transformation Enablers | $700 | Tuesday afternoon
• Dives into the evolving tax provision – processes that facilitate shorter close times, better ways to manage data, new ways to use analytics and visuals to analyze calculations, and how companies of all sizes are using robotic process automation

• Covers a wide-range of complex income tax accounting issues incorporating 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act legislative changes, and complex domestic and international tax issues
• For the experienced income tax accounting professional doing business both domestically and globally
• Choose between two electives: – Option 1 – State Income Taxes: This course will address growing complexities in accounting for state law developments including the lingering state tax impact of 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. In addition to discussing separate state computations for GILTI, IRC Section 163(j), and FDII, we will also take a closer look at state current and deferred income tax as well as uncertain tax positions.
– Option 2 – Partnerships: In this course, participants will focus on an overview of subchapter K, related deferred tax considerations, implications of pass-through to c corporations conversions, and other key concepts.
Tax Accounting and Up-C & Partnership Structures | $700 | Tuesday morning
• In this four hour course, participants will focus on common subchapter K pitfalls relating to complex partnership structures, including Up-C structures, as well as current ASC 740 technical issues relating to partnership accounting.
