Global MarketingLack of Capacity. Platforms are being asked to do more in dense, virtual environments, and by providing servers with increased performance and scalability, Dell can assist our customers to build and manage cutting edge environments to provide world class end-user experience. Part of this is their struggle with the ever-increasing data deluge that is overwhelming their organizations as they try to keep up. There too Dell can help construct an IT infrastructure including new storage technologies that can help customers expand their capacity while increasing overall productivity.Complex technologies. Poorly managed datacenter infrastructure and inefficient hardware directly results in wasted resources and productivity. By providing servers that are extremely energy efficient as well as easier to deploy, use and manage, Dell can assist our customers in becoming more productive, reduce wasted time and money, and allow them to focus their people resources on the highest priorities. Dell provides the flexibility in IT infrastructure that enables organizations to smoothly make changes as needs change and as new technology becomes available.Unreliable and inaccessible data. Having the best and most up-to-date information is crucial to all organizations. Any issue with the correctness or timeliness of information can cost an organization competitively, financially or in terms of customer satisfaction. Unreliable infrastructure can result in missing, corrupt or inaccessible data. By providing systems with exceptional levels of redundancy, reliability and availability, Dell can help ensure that data is protected and can be accessed whenever and wherever it is needed. And Dell can provide a security environment that protects both data at rest and data in motion from intrusion.

Global MarketingToday, new technologies proliferate throughout the enterprise at lightning speed. IT leaders, coping with massive changes, increasingly feel pressure to deliver new services, speed performance and manage complex environments. Virtualization, cloud computing and mobility are among the most prominent factors driving this change. These systemswhile adding new and powerful capabilitiesadd to an already complex landscape thats littered with multiple operating systems, an assortment of storage solutions and a tangle of network and computing resources.

The nature and scope of information technology is undergoing a radical transformation. Conventional client-server computing is morphing into virtualized and cloud environments that tap into data and information in new and powerful ways. Mobility, social media and an array of other tools and capabilities are moving to the forefront of enterprise IT. Whats more, the nature of existing systems is changing and evolving as collaborative tools go mainstream and consumer technologiesincluding tablets, smartphones and other devicesdrive productivity and profits. In a study commissioned by Dell, IDG found that, over the next year, roughly 8 in 10 respondents worldwide expect demand for remote access to the corporate network, connection via consumer devices (as well as support for those devices), upgrades to IT-supplied applications and technology, and collaboration tools to increase. Key objectives include: automating and streamlining IT processes and improving application speed and performance to keep pace with new enterprise technology adoption. Unfortunately, less than 40 percent of U.S. respondents are well prepared to meet these goals. The challenges dont stop there. IT complexity was mentioned as the top infrastructure management-related challenge globally. It even ranked ahead of increased management costs. More than two-thirds of U.S. (71 percent) and Asia-pacific (67 percent in India and 72 percent in China) respondents indicated complexity is a challenge. Additionally, many companies have multiple server operating systems in place, further adding to overall IT complexity.

Global Marketing Lower overall system-level power draw of PowerEdge blade, rack, and tower servers is a result of Dells breakthrough system design. Leveraging high-efficiency voltage regulators, greater venting and airflow, Dells low-flow fan technology, and advanced resource management, PowerEdge servers are ready to help maximize performance per watt. Dell delivers: Thermal advantagesAn extensive collection of up to 44 sensors automatically track thermal activity, helping regulate temperature and reduce energy consumption. Dell PowerEdge systems are capable of adjusting in real-time to reduce overall energy usage. Intelligent performance Advantages of Dells PSU portfolio include intelligent features, such as dynamically optimizing efficiency while maintaining availability and redundancy. Dell provides options for right-sized or dynamically-provisioned power supplies (for blades). Our right-sized power portfolio is optimized for value and performance, and includes customization choices for selecting input type (AC or DC) or defining redundancy. High-efficiency fans and airflow managementEffectively directing airflow only to where it is needed for cooling enables todays technologies, such as Dells 10Gb Select Network Adapter. Advanced thermal control minimizes system power by dynamically optimizing fan speeds and component power consumption. Industry complianceDell servers are compliant with all relevant industry certifications and guidelines, including 80+ and Climate Savers.Dell has more ENERGY STAR compliant systems than any vendor on the market
