NOTE:
• For all versions of CMCNE/BNA, Dell EMC SRM does not support Single Sign On and Launch-in-Context.
• Dell EMC SRM does not support Administrative Domains features.
• Performance Metrics is not collected for Brocade AG Devices and FCoE ports.
• Discovery support is limited to FC and FCoE ports. Discovery of other protocols or routing is not supported.
• CPU Utilization and Memory Utilization are not populated for Brocade switches.
• Name Server Database, Ethernet ports details are not discovered.
• For Alerts to be populated in Dell EMC SRM, configure the SNMP trap recipient on each switch. For more
information, see Dell EMC SRM Alerting Guide.
SNMP + SMI-S (Zoning discovery only through SMI-S)SolutionPack for Brocade FC Switch discovers switch topology and performance metrics through SNMP and restricts SMI-S discovery tozoning details only. SNMP does not support zoning discovery.
This discovery approach is supported for backward compatibility with previous versions.

Operating Environment for Block("FLARE"): 05.32 or later.
Not applicable 443
VNX Operating Environment for File7.1 or later. Used with VNX1, VNX2,and Gateway models.
Not applicable 22, 443
NOTE:
• To collect performance data for VNX MetaLUNs with Operating Environment for Block (“FLARE”) 05.32, version
05.32.000.5.209 or later must be used.
12 Supported SolutionPacks
• Navisphere® CLI commands are used to communicate with the VNX. It is recommended matching Navisphere® CLI
versions with the Block Operating Environment versions of VNX systems that are configured in the SolutionPack.
For example, if the firmware version of the Block side is 05.32.x, Navisphere® CLI 7.32.x or later should be used. For
more information about compatible Block OE and Navisphere® CLI versions, see VNX OE for Block Release Notesand Unisphere Host Agent/CLI and Utilities Release Notes.
• SSH access to VNX-File/Celerra with an operator user. SSH access is needed between VNX Collector host and
Control Station to download files in /emc-srm via SFTP.
• To collect Quota information correctly, arrays must be running File OE 7.1.70.0 or later.
• If ALUA (Failover Mode 4) attached to a VNX array is enabled for one or more hosts, and I/O to the associated host
LUNs is/are distributed across more than one Storage Processor, values for the LUN performance metrics,
AverageBusyQueueLength, QueueLength, and ResponseTime are higher than what is displayed in Unisphere
Analyzer. The higher values are because the Navisphere® CLI counters are used to compute these metrics
accumulate for each Storage Processor.
• To correctly compute the LUN performance metrics, ReadCacheHitRatio and WriteCacheHitRatio, for FLARE/
Operating Environment for Block version 05.33, 05.33.006.5.102 or later must be used.
• If Hot Spare disks are invoked or disks are removed the Raw Capacity for an array decreases, although Raw Capacity
for one or more RAID Groups or Pools of the faulted or removed disks do not change. It is normal due to how the
Unisphere and Navisphere® CLI display the capacity metrics for Hot Spares, depending on their state. Until the
removed or faulted disks are replaced and the hot spares are returned to a "Hot Spare Ready" state, it could result in
Raw Capacity for a VNX array to display lower than the sum of the following metrics: ConfiguredUsableCapacity,
RAIDOverheadCapacity, UnconfiguredCapacity, UnusableCapacity, and HotSpareCapacity.
• Unisphere Analyzer/SRM may provide huge spikes for Disk Response Time on systems with FLARE/Operating
Environment for Block 05.33. This issue has been addressed in 05.33.000.5.081 and later.

Comments• SMI-S provider 8.x does not support DMX series arrays.• The Workload Distribution Report and Disk Failure Impact Analysis are not supported for VMAX3.• iSCSI Gatekeepers are supported.• If performance metrics are desired, then you must install Unisphere for VMAX or the SMI-S Provider, or both.• Do not exceed six medium-sized (30K-40K devices) VMAX arrays for each VMAX collector.• Any array with more than 30K devices requires 4 GB of heap size for the collector. Refer to the Performance and Scalability Guidelines
for details.• As of the 3.5 release, statistics are available through both SMI-S and Unisphere. However, if both SMI-S and Unisphere are present,
Dell EMC SRM does not collect overlapping statistics from both sources. But overlapping statistics are always collected only throughUnisphere. In this case, only the LUN statistics come from SMI-S. There are not two sets of same-named but inconsistent statistics.
